SummerSlam Night 2 concludes WWE’s two-night takeover of U.S. Bank Stadium with six matches, four championship contests and several potentially significant storyline developments.

World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns defending against Seth Rollins is expected to headline the show. The card also features a Five-Woman Ladder Match to determine an interim WWE Women’s Champion, Chad Gable challenging Penta for the Intercontinental Championship and Sami Zayn facing Finn Bálor for an Undisputed WWE Championship opportunity.

Charlotte enters as the most accomplished competitor, but ladder matches rarely favor the most technically skilled wrestler. Cargill’s strength, Stratton’s athleticism and Green’s willingness to steal opportunities make this one of Night 2’s least predictable matches.

Stratton and Cargill should deliver the contest’s biggest athletic moments. Charlotte will provide experience and credibility, while Green will repeatedly attempt to climb the ladder after allowing the other competitors to eliminate one another.

Charlotte remains the most logical winner. Giving her the interim championship would create an immediate major program with Ripley when the injured champion returns. WWE could build toward a championship unification match without requiring Ripley to lose the title she never surrendered.

Penta has built a strong championship reign with successful defenses against several different styles of opponents. His combination of strikes, aerial offense and explosive finishing moves should challenge Gable throughout the match.

However, nearly every storyline indicator points toward a championship change. Gable has been pursuing his first WWE singles championship for years, and SummerSlam gives WWE an opportunity to deliver his career-defining moment in front of a Minnesota crowd.

Penta should control the match’s early portions with his speed and striking. Gable will eventually slow the champion down with suplexes and attacks to the ankle before forcing Penta to submit.

Corbin provides a dangerous physical challenge because he can end a match instantly with the End of Days. However, his return appears designed to give Williams an established opponent rather than immediately end the champion’s reign.

Williams has become one of SmackDown’s most heavily featured personalities, and his association with Lil Yachty gives WWE several potential options for outside involvement. Corbin should dominate portions of the match, but Williams is likely to survive the End of Days and respond with the Trick Shot.

A Williams victory could also bring Carmelo Hayes back into the championship picture. Hayes has unfinished business with both competitors and could confront Williams after the match.
