WWE SummerSlam returns as a two-night stadium event, with Night 1 featuring six matches. Undisputed WWE Champion CM Punk defending against Cody Rhodes is expected to headline Saturday’s show, while Brock Lesnar and Oba Femi will settle their rivalry inside Hell in a Cell.
The moneyline odds below are from Bet US as of July 30, 2026. Professional wrestling lines can move dramatically as the event approaches because the results are determined by WWE’s creative direction rather than athletic competition alone.
Current Odds
CM Punk’s newly won championship is immediately in danger against one of WWE’s most accomplished modern stars. Rhodes originally earned another championship opportunity after losing the title at Night of Champions, but Gunther’s attack prevented him from receiving his scheduled rematch. Punk replaced Rhodes, defeated Sami Zayn and captured the championship, creating this unexpected SummerSlam main event.
The greatest argument against a Rhodes victory is the recent instability surrounding the championship. The title has already moved several times, and ending Punk’s reign almost immediately would prevent WWE from establishing him as the centerpiece of SmackDown. Rhodes does not need the championship to remain one of the company’s biggest stars.
Punk should control much of the match by attacking Rhodes’ knee and slowing the pace. Rhodes will deliver multiple dramatic near falls, but Punk is likely to survive the Cross Rhodes and finish the challenger with the Go to Sleep.
Prediction: CM Punk retains by pinfall
CM Punk to win by pinfall: Punk is unlikely to need a disqualification or count-out escape in his first major defense.
Cody Rhodes to hit at least two Cross Rhodes: Rhodes should receive several believable near falls before losing.
Match to exceed 20 minutes: This is the likely Night 1 main event and should receive enough time to tell a methodical championship story.
Post-match confrontation or attack: A Rhodes heel turn, surprise return or new challenger confronting Punk could provide the closing angle.
Current Odds
Oba Femi defeated Lesnar at WrestleMania 42 before Lesnar gained revenge at Clash in Italy. With the series tied at one victory apiece, SummerSlam’s Hell in a Cell match will determine the rivalry’s winner. Femi is entering his first Cell match, while Lesnar brings considerably more experience inside the structure.
Everything about the matchup appears designed to complete Femi’s rise into WWE’s world-championship picture. He can survive Lesnar’s most dangerous offense, defeat The Beast in his home state and emerge from the rivalry as one of the company’s most dominant young stars.
Lesnar should deliver German suplexes, F-5s and several violent attacks involving the Cell. Femi will eventually survive Lesnar’s finishing sequence and answer with the Fall From Grace.
Prediction: Oba Femi wins by pinfall
Oba Femi to win by pinfall: A decisive victory gives Femi the strongest possible endorsement.
Brock Lesnar to hit multiple F-5s: Femi surviving Lesnar’s finisher would be an important part of the story.
Both competitors to bleed: Hell in a Cell’s physical environment creates a strong possibility of visible blood.
Match under 16 minutes: Lesnar’s major matches are commonly built around explosive offense rather than long technical exchanges.
Lesnar to acknowledge Femi after the match: A handshake, nod or symbolic retirement gesture could complete the rivalry.
Current Odds
IYO SKY earned her opportunity by defeating Morgan in the Queen of the Ring final at Night of Champions. That victory established SKY as a legitimate threat and allows her to enter SummerSlam knowing she has already beaten the champion recently.
This is the most competitive championship market on Night 1. Morgan remains the favorite, but SKY’s underdog price suggests oddsmakers consider a title change realistic.
SKY should have the advantage during the match’s faster and more athletic sequences. Morgan’s strongest path to victory involves outside assistance, a distraction or another controversial development surrounding Judgment Day.
A clean SKY victory is possible, but Morgan retaining through interference would extend both the championship program and the surrounding faction storylines.
Prediction: Liv Morgan retains by pinfall following outside interference
Liv Morgan to retain: The champion’s price is considerably more playable than the card’s biggest favorites.
Dominik Mysterio or Judgment Day involvement: Morgan’s alliances give WWE an easy way to protect SKY in defeat.
IYO SKY to hit the Over the Moonsault: SKY can connect with her finisher before Morgan escapes through interference or a rope break.
Match over 15 minutes: This has the potential to be the best pure wrestling match of Night 1.
Best upset consideration: IYO SKY at +130: SKY already owns a recent victory over Morgan and offers reasonable underdog value.
Current Odds
Nick Aldis will return to the ring after Gunther blamed the SmackDown general manager for costing him championship opportunities. Although Aldis has primarily served as an authority figure since joining WWE, he possesses extensive experience as a world champion outside the company.
The outcome appears straightforward, but the match itself should be more competitive than the odds suggest. Aldis can surprise Gunther with his strength, technical ability and veteran instincts without needing to win.
Gunther should eventually overwhelm Aldis with chops, powerbombs and submission pressure. A competitive defeat would allow Aldis to return to his general-manager position with greater credibility.
Prediction: Gunther wins by submission or referee stoppage
Gunther to win by submission: The sleeper hold provides an effective ending that protects Aldis from taking a conventional pinfall.
Nick Aldis to avoid being pinned: Submission, referee stoppage or unconsciousness is the most likely finish.
Match over 10 minutes: Aldis should receive enough offense to remind the audience of his championship background.
Gunther to show Aldis respect afterward: A restrained acknowledgment would conclude the conflict while preserving both characters.
Current Odds
The reunited Bloodline has targeted Solo Sikoa after he repeatedly refused to return to the family. Royce Keys has also been rejected by the group, while LA Knight has become one of its most outspoken enemies. The rivalry now brings six powerful personalities into one of Night 1’s most unpredictable matches.
The Bloodline has more experience and unity, while Knight’s team has been assembled through shared enemies rather than genuine trust. That difference should determine the outcome.
Solo turning against Knight and Keys would be the most obvious major development. However, WWE could delay that reunion and instead have simple miscommunication cost the challengers. Jacob Fatu is the most likely wrestler to score the decisive fall.
Prediction: Jacob Fatu and The Usos win
The Bloodline to win: The established trio holds both the storyline and chemistry advantage.
Jacob Fatu to score the winning fall: Fatu is the group’s most explosive member and can be positioned for another major singles program.
Solo Sikoa to betray his partners: Solo rejoining—or appearing to rejoin—his family would create the match’s biggest possible twist.
A wrestler to go through the announce table: The number of competitors and personal rivalries make a major ringside spot likely.
LA Knight to take the fall: Knight can absorb the loss without losing popularity, particularly following interference or betrayal.
Current Bet US Odds
This is Night 1’s most volatile betting market. BetUS lists Paige, Nikki Bella and Brie Bella as the favorites, while another reported market has installed Fatal Influence as the favorite. The disagreement indicates uncertainty over whether WWE will deliver a nostalgic victory or use the legends to elevate the younger faction.
Fatal Influence has already established itself as a major threat on SmackDown, with Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid capturing the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship from Paige and Brie. Nikki’s return created the six-woman match and gave the former champions an opportunity for revenge.
The audience-friendly outcome would be a Bella Twins and Paige victory. The stronger long-term booking decision, however, would be Fatal Influence defeating three recognizable veterans and strengthening its position in the women’s division.
Jacy Jayne should capitalize on confusion between the legends and pin Paige, setting up either another championship program or tension between Paige and the Bellas.
Prediction: Fatal Influence wins by pinfall
Fatal Influence at +130: This is the most attractive underdog moneyline on the BetUS Night 1 board.
Jacy Jayne to score the winning fall: Jayne is positioned as the group’s leader and would benefit most from pinning a veteran.
Paige to take the fall: The Bellas can remain protected while WWE creates a possible Paige singles storyline.
Miscommunication among Paige and the Bellas: The legends’ alliance may not survive the match intact.
Match under 13 minutes: The contest is more likely to emphasize entrances, character moments and a decisive angle than extended technical wrestling.
Match Prediction CM Punk vs. Cody Rhodes CM Punk retains
Oba Femi vs. Brock Lesnar Oba Femi wins
Liv Morgan vs. IYO SKY Liv Morgan retains
Gunther vs. Nick Aldis Gunther wins
The Bloodline vs. LA Knight, Solo Sikoa and Royce Keys The Bloodline wins
Fatal Influence vs. Paige and The Bella Twins Fatal Influence wins
Safest Pick: Oba Femi to defeat Brock Lesnar
Best Championship Bet: Liv Morgan to retain at -175
Best Underdog Bet: Fatal Influence at +130
Best Method-of-Victory Prop: Gunther by submission or referee stoppage
Best Storyline Prop: Solo Sikoa betrays LA Knight and Royce Keys
Best Match Prop: CM Punk and Cody Rhodes to exceed 20 minutes
SummerSlam Night 1 appears designed around establishing WWE’s current and future main-event stars. CM Punk should receive the successful championship defense needed to stabilize the Undisputed WWE Championship, while Oba Femi can secure the biggest victory of his career by defeating Brock Lesnar inside Hell in a Cell.
Gunther and The Bloodline are positioned as strong favorites, but the women’s matches provide more uncertainty. Liv Morgan and IYO SKY could produce the evening’s best technical contest, while Fatal Influence’s match against Paige and The Bella Twins presents the card’s most intriguing underdog opportunity.
The biggest story coming out of Night 1 may not be a championship change. A Cody Rhodes character shift, Solo Sikoa betrayal or major development following Lesnar’s match could reshape WWE’s direction heading into Night 2 and the remainder of 2026.
