The championship landscape in Total Nonstop Action Wrestling has changed dramatically during the summer of 2026.

Four championships changed hands at Slammiversary on June 28, producing new leaders for the men’s, women’s and tag-team divisions. Nic Nemeth returned to the top of the company, Xia Brookside completed her transformation from trusted friend to calculating champion, and two of TNA’s most recognizable teams reclaimed prominent positions within the promotion.

TNA currently has six crowned champions. The company has also introduced the new Knockouts Television Championship, but the title remains vacant while a tournament determines its inaugural holder. TNA’s official roster recognizes Nic Nemeth, Xia Brookside, Cedric Alexander, Mustafa Ali, The Hardys and DemonXBunny as the promotion’s reigning champions.

The Men’s Division

1. TNA World Championship

Nic Nemeth became a two-time TNA World Champion by defeating Mike Santana in the main event of Slammiversary. Nemeth entered the match after announcing in advance that he would use his Call Your Shot opportunity against Santana.

The championship change was surrounded by controversy. Ryan Nemeth distracted the referee, allowing Nic to strike Santana with the Call Your Shot trophy. Santana survived that attack and several additional finishing moves, but Nemeth eventually connected with Danger Zone to secure the victory.

The result completed Nemeth’s return to the top of TNA, but it also marked a major change in his character. Instead of representing the fighting spirit that defined his first championship reign, Nemeth has embraced arrogance, entitlement and the assistance of his brother.

Nemeth made his first successful defense against KC Navarro on the July 23 episode of iMPACT! Navarro pushed the champion to his limit and came close to completing a major upset after connecting with the 305 and Code Red. Nemeth survived, countered Navarro’s Blessing in Disguise and retained with Danger Zone.

Nemeth’s combination of experience, conditioning and opportunism makes him extremely difficult to defeat. He can outwrestle less experienced challengers, survive prolonged physical battles and use Ryan Nemeth’s presence to create distractions.

However, his increasingly dismissive treatment of younger wrestlers may continue producing new challengers. Elijah has publicly identified the TNA World Championship as his primary goal, while Santana still has a legitimate claim to another opportunity after the controversial manner in which he lost the title.

For now, Nemeth stands at the top of TNA. The question is no longer whether he possesses championship ability. It is whether anyone can overcome both Nemeth’s talent and the shortcuts he is willing to take to remain champion.

2. TNA X-Division Championship

Current Champion: Cedric Alexander Won Championship: Defeated Leon Slater on May 14, 2026 Previous Champion: Leon Slater

The X-Division Championship is more than a secondary title. It represents one of the most important traditions in TNA history.

The division was built around the principle that competition should not be limited by size or wrestling style. Speed, innovation, technical ability and risk-taking have traditionally defined the championship, producing generations of performers who later became world champions.

Cedric Alexander captured the title by defeating Leon Slater in a two-out-of-three falls match on the May 14 episode of iMPACT! Slater won the opening fall, but Alexander recovered to claim the final two falls and end one of the most significant young championship reigns in recent TNA history.

Alexander has since proven that his victory was not an isolated result.

At Slammiversary, he successfully defended the championship in an Ultimate X Match against Slater, Amazing Red, Frankie Kazarian, KC Navarro, Fabian Aichner and Mr. Elegance. Slater appeared to have the match won after unhooking the championship, but Alexander dove into the ring and gained possession of the belt before Slater could secure it.

Alexander followed that performance by defeating the powerful Fabian Aichner on July 16. His reign has combined elite athletic performance with the influence of The System, the faction that describes itself as TNA’s quality control.

The alliance gives Alexander additional protection, but it also places him in the middle of The System’s conflicts. He is scheduled to team with Eddie Edwards against former champion Leon Slater and rising star Ricky Sosa on the July 30 episode of iMPACT!

Alexander’s experience, strength and explosive offense make him a nearly perfect X-Division representative. He can compete with high-flyers, overpower smaller opponents and survive the chaotic environment of matches such as Ultimate X.

The X-Division Championship ranks immediately behind the World Championship because of its historical significance. In TNA, this title has never simply identified the best cruiserweight. It has traditionally identified the wrestler most capable of becoming the company’s next major star.

3. TNA World Tag Team Championship

Current Champions: The Hardys — Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy Won Championship: Defeated The System, The Righteous and The Great Hands on June 28, 2026 Previous Champions: The System — Brian Myers and Bear Bronson

Tag-team wrestling has always been an important part of TNA, and the company’s current champions are among the most recognizable teams in professional wrestling history.

Matt and Jeff Hardy reclaimed the championships at Slammiversary in a four-team ladder match against defending champions Brian Myers and Bear Bronson, The Righteous and The Great Hands.

The match incorporated ladders, tables, barbed wire and several dangerous falls. The Hardys eventually neutralized The Great Hands with synchronized Twists of Fate before Jeff delivered a Swanton Bomb through a ladder. Matt and Jeff then climbed the ladder and reclaimed the championship belts.

Their victory returned the division to a team whose history is closely connected to TNA. The Hardys are no longer the fearless young risk-takers they were during the beginning of their careers, but their creativity, experience and willingness to enter dangerous matches continue making them difficult opponents.

They successfully defended against The Great Hands on July 9. Matt delivered multiple Twists of Fate before Jeff finished John Skyler with the Swanton Bomb.

The champions then entered a much stranger environment against The Righteous in the Righteous Deletion at the Hardy Compound. The cinematic battle included the lake, fireworks and the reemergence of Jeff Hardy’s darker alter ego. Jeff ultimately delivered a Swanton Bomb from construction equipment, sending Vincent and Dutch through a table and allowing The Hardys to retain.

The championships benefit from The Hardys’ name recognition, but the division must continue creating younger teams capable of eventually replacing them. The Great Hands, The Righteous and The System have all demonstrated championship potential, while new combinations could emerge through TNA’s relationship with WWE’s NXT brand.

The Hardys remain champions because they understand how to survive virtually every match type. Defeating them requires more than athletic ability. A challenger must also withstand their experience, unpredictability and willingness to transform an ordinary title defense into complete chaos.

4. TNA International Championship

The International Championship is TNA’s newest established men’s singles title.

Designed to represent competition beyond one weight class or wrestling style, the championship has quickly become an important platform for wrestlers positioned between the X-Division and the World Championship picture.

Mustafa Ali captured the title from Trey Miguel at Rebellion. Despite promising that Order 4 would not interfere, Ali benefited from repeated distractions by Tasha Steelz and The Great Hands. After Miguel was struck with the Great Hands’ helmets, Ali delivered the 450 Splash and captured the championship.

Ali’s reign has been defined by contradiction. He presents himself as a visionary leader who wants to improve TNA, but his victories frequently depend upon manipulation, interference and the loyalty of Order 4.

At Slammiversary, Ali survived an open-challenge triple-threat match against Rich Swann and the debuting Uhaa Nation. Special Agent 0 removed the steel steps before using them against Uhaa, allowing Ali to capitalize and pin Swann with a backslide.

Ali then created the “International Vote,” allowing members of the TNA roster to select his next challenger. The plan backfired when Order 4 member Jason Hotch received the most votes. Ali immediately demanded another election, but the result was upheld.

Hotch is scheduled to challenge Ali on the live July 30 episode of iMPACT! The match creates the possibility that Ali’s carefully controlled organization could begin collapsing from within.

The International Championship currently ranks below the World, X-Division and Tag Team championships because of its relatively short history. However, Ali’s strong personality and increasingly complicated relationship with Order 4 have made it one of TNA’s most active storylines.

The Knockouts Division

1. TNA Knockouts World Championship

Current Champion: Xia Brookside Won Championship: Defeated Léi Yǐng Lee on June 28, 2026 Previous Champion: Léi Yǐng Lee

The Knockouts World Championship is the highest prize in TNA’s women’s division.

Xia Brookside captured the championship from former friend and tag-team partner Léi Yǐng Lee at Slammiversary. Brookside repeatedly attacked Lee’s injured knee before driving her into an exposed turnbuckle and finishing the match with Darkside.

The victory represented the completion of Brookside’s transformation. She was once presented as an energetic and trustworthy member of the division, but jealousy and ambition gradually changed her relationship with Lee.

Brookside proved that she could retain the championship under even more violent conditions when she faced Lee in a No Disqualification Match on July 9.

The match included chairs, a table, a leather belt and a kendo stick. Brookside again concentrated on Lee’s injured leg, then survived a physical comeback before driving Lee head-first into a steel chair with Darkside. Lee was subsequently listed as out of action with a head injury.

Brookside has since turned her attention toward Elayna Black. After Black’s Knockouts Television Championship Tournament match against Wendy Choo ended in a time-limit draw, Brookside attacked both women and sent another warning to the division.

The Knockouts division has historically been one of TNA’s defining strengths, and Brookside now carries the responsibility of leading it. Her reign is built on intelligence, targeted attacks and a willingness to exploit injuries rather than overwhelming opponents through size or power.

She may not be the strongest Knockout, but she has repeatedly demonstrated that she is one of the division’s most calculated competitors.

2. TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Championship

Current Champions: DemonXBunny — Rosemary and Allie Won Championship: Defeated The Elegance Brand on June 28, 2026 Previous Champions: The Elegance Brand — M by Elegance and Heather by Elegance

The Knockouts World Tag Team Championship showcases the depth and variety of TNA’s women’s division.

DemonXBunny captured the titles at Slammiversary when Rosemary and Allie defeated M by Elegance and Heather by Elegance. Ash by Elegance and The Personal Concierge attempted to influence the outcome, but Rosemary used her mist to neutralize the interference before pinning Heather.

The victory reunited two performers with a long and complicated history. Allie’s return to TNA and her renewed alliance with Rosemary restored one of the Knockouts division’s most unusual partnerships.

Their team combines Allie’s speed and striking ability with Rosemary’s physicality, mind games and supernatural presentation. That contrast gives DemonXBunny an identity different from the glamorous arrogance of The Elegance Brand or the straightforward athleticism of more traditional teams.

However, their championship reign faces an immediate threat. M and Heather by Elegance have invoked their contractual rematch and will challenge DemonXBunny on the live July 30 episode of iMPACT!

The Knockouts Tag Team Championship currently ranks below the singles world title because the division has fewer established teams. DemonXBunny’s popularity and The Elegance Brand’s strong character work have improved its visibility, but TNA must continue developing additional permanent partnerships.

A successful defense would establish DemonXBunny as more than a nostalgic reunion. A loss would return control of the division to The Elegance Brand only one month after Slammiversary.

3. TNA Knockouts Television Championship

The Knockouts Television Championship is the newest addition to TNA’s title structure.

TNA Hall of Famer Traci Brooks unveiled the championship during the Slammiversary Countdown show. A 16-woman tournament began on the July 2 episode of iMPACT! to determine the inaugural champion.

Every tournament match has a 10-minute time limit. Once a champion is crowned, the title will be defended exclusively on iMPACT!, establishing it as the Knockouts division’s television workhorse championship.

The time limit has already affected the tournament. Elayna Black and Wendy Choo were both eliminated after their first-round match ended in a draw, giving M by Elegance a bye in the following round.

Jada Stone advanced by upsetting Alisha Edwards, while other surviving contenders include Jody Threat, Indi Hartwell and NXT representative Thea Hail. The quarterfinals begin on July 30 with Stone facing Threat and Hartwell meeting Hail.

The championship ranks third because it has not yet established a history or crowned its first holder. However, its potential value is considerable.

A regularly defended television championship can create opportunities for younger wrestlers, give established Knockouts meaningful non-world-title rivalries and allow the division to feature more than one singles storyline at a time.

The first champion will carry the responsibility of defining what the title represents. A veteran could immediately give it credibility, while a younger winner such as Jada Stone could use it as the beginning of a major rise through the division.
