BetMGM, Gila River open Arizona’s biggest retail sportsbook

Gila River Resorts and Casinos Santan Mountain is Opening

Renowned sports betting operator BetMGM has recently opened another retail sportsbook at Santan Mountain Casino, operated by Gila River Resorts & Casinos.

The retail sportsbook spans 7,000 square feet, making it the biggest in Arizona. It provides sports enthusiasts with eight self-service betting kiosks, four betting windows for personalized assistance and a 130-foot LED screen for an immersive gaming experience.

This opening is another significant milestone for BetMGM, marking the fourth partnership between BetMGM and Gila River Resorts & Casinos. The partnership adds to the existing BetMGM sportsbooks at other Gila River casinos — Vee Quiva, Wild Horse Pass and Lone Butte.

“The BetMGM Sportsbook at Santan Mountain is in a beautiful location and will provide an exciting atmosphere for sports fans in the area.”

The recently opened Santan Mountain Casino has floor-to-ceiling windows. Its 33,000-square-foot gaming floor features 813 slot machines and 25 table games.

The casino has outdoor gardens and versatile event spaces. Visitors can also enjoy a sit-down restaurant called Honey and Vine, which has an outdoor patio and a coffee bar. The restaurant serves delicious all-day food and occasionally hosts live DJ performances for entertainment.

Contribution to communities

Gila River Resorts & Casinos CEO Kenneth Manuel expressed his excitement to provide its loyal guests with an extraordinary experience at the new property.

BetMGM’s fourth property not only expands its partnership with Gila River Resorts and Casinos. The partnership also contributes directly to funding infrastructure, education and public safety for the Gila River Indian Community.

Furthermore, the enterprise generates additional revenue to support local cities, towns and counties across the state.
