
The University of Florida Gators have had a storied basketball history, producing some of the most talented and successful players in college basketball. From legendary NCAA champions to NBA standouts, the Gators’ basketball program has seen some incredible athletes grace the hardwood. One of the most recognizable and beloved Gators in history, Joakim Noah was the heart and soul of Florida’s back-to-back national championships in 2006 and 2007. Known for his energy, defensive prowess, and leadership, Noah was named the Most Outstanding Player of the 2006 Final Four. He later had a successful NBA career, earning two All-Star selections and the 2014 NBA Defensive Player of the Year award.
Horford was another key member of the Gators’ back-to-back title runs. A dominant post presence, he was a force on both ends of the floor. After leaving Florida, Horford became a five-time NBA All-Star and enjoyed a long and productive professional career, making him one of the most accomplished Gator alumni in the NBA.
Beal only played one season at Florida, but his impact was immense. He led the Gators to an Elite Eight appearance, averaging 14.8 points and 6.7 rebounds per game. Beal became the third overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft and has since developed into one of the top shooting guards in the NBA.
Walk is Florida’s all-time leading rebounder and remains one of the greatest players in school history. He led the NCAA in rebounding in 1968–69, averaging 19.8 rebounds per game, and was later selected as the No. 2 overall pick in the 1969 NBA Draft.
Haslem was a dominant force in the paint for Florida, leading the team to the 2000 NCAA Championship Game. Though he went undrafted, Haslem became a three-time NBA champion with the Miami Heat and is widely regarded as one of the greatest Gators ever.
Another key member of Florida’s back-to-back title-winning teams, Brewer was known for his defensive intensity and clutch performances. He was named Most Outstanding Player of the 2007 Final Four before going on to a solid NBA career.
Wilbekin was the floor general for the Gators and led them to a Final Four appearance in 2014. He was named SEC Player of the Year and one of the best defensive guards in program history.
A talented shooter and playmaker, Miller helped lead Florida to the 2000 NCAA Championship Game. He later enjoyed a long NBA career, winning two NBA championships with the Miami Heat.
Maxwell remains one of the most prolific scorers in Florida history, ranking among the school’s all-time leaders in points. He went on to win two NBA championships with the Houston Rockets.
Bonner was a consistent and efficient scorer for the Gators, known for his shooting ability and basketball IQ. He finished his college career as one of the program’s top all-time scorers before going on to win two NBA championships with the San Antonio Spurs.
