Although he played just one season at Auburn, Isaac Okoro left a lasting impression. A defensive standout, he was a key part of Auburn’s success in 2019-2020 and became a top-5 NBA Draft pick in 2020. His defensive versatility and strong finishing ability made him one of Auburn’s best one-and-done players.
Wesley Person followed in his brother Chuck’s footsteps, becoming one of Auburn’s greatest shooters. He averaged 18.3 points per game and made a significant impact in the SEC. Drafted by the Phoenix Suns in 1994, he had a successful NBA career as a three-point specialist.
Chris Porter was one of the most exciting players in Auburn history. A high-flying forward, he helped lead Auburn to a No. 1 seed in the 1999 NCAA Tournament. He was named SEC Player of the Year and became a fan favorite for his high-energy plays and dunking ability.
Walker Kessler was a dominant defensive force, earning SEC Defensive Player of the Year honors. One of Auburn’s greatest scorers, Mike Mitchell dominated in the late 1970s, finishing his career with over 2,000 points. He averaged 23.6 points per game in his senior season and went on to have a productive NBA career, mainly with the Cleveland Cavaliers and San Antonio Spurs.
Nicknamed “The Rifleman,” Chuck Person was a scoring machine and Auburn’s all-time leading scorer with 2,311 points. His ability to shoot from long range and dominate inside made him a dual-threat offensive player. He was a key player in Auburn’s 1985 SEC Tournament Championship run and later became an NBA Rookie of the Year with the Indiana Pacers.
The greatest Auburn player of all time, Charles Barkley, revolutionized the game with his unique combination of size, strength, and agility.
