Betting Preview
The 2022 US Open is upon us, and both the men’s and women’s tournaments look as wide open as they have ever been. Look for unranked players to make some deep runs into the round of 16 and even possibly farther. Check out the top

What favorite (men’s or women’s) has the best chance of winning the US Open?
The men’s favourite, Medvedev has the best chance of winning the US Open. Medvedev already demonstrated that he is capable of winning in Flushing. He has reached at least the semifinals in each of his previous three events. He has also advanced to the finals in the Australian Opens, the other hard-court event. With Novak Djokovic out, there is a small number of players who have the ability to beat Medvedev on a hard court. Swiatek is the top player on the womenâs tour this year. However, she hasn’t had nearly as much success in New York.

Which matchup offers the greatest betting value in the initial round?
Dominic Thiem +290 is the best betting matchup of the first round. He faces Pablo Carreno Busta. Thiem has suffered major injuries since his win at the 2020 US Open. He is not yet fully recovered from the most recent attempt to return. Thiem can still win a few matches at the only major he has ever won. He’s also 7-0 against No. 12 Carreno Busta. Carreno Busta plays at a higher level, but Thiem’s upside gives her a better chance of winning this match.
How do you think Serena Williams performs in her last US Open tournament before retiring? Is she worth placing a bet on?
Expect the unexpected this year. Understanding that prop bets with long odds are there for a reason will help you understand the odds. It might be better to take someone like Serena Williams to the quarterfinals or round of 16 than just to win. Maybe we see the clock turned back to the days of Jimmy Connors, who made a couple of spectacular. runs, I think a Serena bet to the round of 16 is a good play.
