5) (17) Reilly Opelka–United States Vs. Fillip Krajinovic–Serbia
Opelka (-135) is still the favourite, but an upset is possible. Opelka has a great surface, and Krajinovic (+115), just reached the third round at the Italian Open. He beat American Frances Tiafoe (7-6, 7-6), in the first round, and Russian number seven Andrey Rublev (6-2, 6-4) in the second round. Check out the

4) (8) Casper Ruud-Norway Vs. Jo-Wilfried Tsonga-France
Tsonga will face Casper Ruud, eighth seed from Norway, in what could be his final match. Tsonga already said that the French Open would be his final tournament before he retires at 37. Tsonga, an 18-time ATP champion, was ranked fifth in the world and reached the final of the 2008 Australian Open. Ruud (3850) just won the title at the Geneva Open. He defeated Joao Sousa from Portugal 7-6, 6-4, 7-6. This will be their first and last career meeting.
3) (30) Tommy Paul–United States Vs. Cristian Garin–Chile
This match is very even when it comes to world rankings. Garin is 36th and Paul is 33rd around the globe. Garin (125) is clearly a better clay-court player than Paul (+105). Garin reached the fourth round at the 2021 French Open and the quarterfinals at the Italian Open where he defeated Marin Cilic, the 2014 U.S. Open champion, 6-3, 6-8, 6-4. Check out the top

2) (4) Stefanos Tsitsipas–Greece Vs. Lorenzo Musetti–Italy
Tsitsipas (970) looks like the most prominent player. He has achieved great clay-court success after reaching the final of the 2021 French Open and winning the tournament in Monte Carlo. Musetti (+360) could be his challenger. He reached the third round in Monte Carlo (beat Felix Auger–Aliassime from Canada), the third round in Barcelona (beat Daniel Evans from Great Britain), and the third round in Madrid (beat Sebastian Korda, United States).

1) (27) Amanda Anisimova–United States Vs. Naomi Osaka–Japan
Anisimova (167) is the seeded opponent, but we shouldn’t be fooled. Osaka (+147), a four-time Grand Slam champion, will be a tough test. It is important to remember that Anisimova (the 2019 French Open semifinalist) beat Osaka 4-6. 6-3. 7-6 in round three of the 2022 Australian Open.
