Pegula defeated Tamara Zidansek from Slovenia 6-1, 7-6 in round three. She will face Irina Camelia Begu from Romania in the fourth round. Begu and Pegula have met once before on the WTA Tour. This was in the first round 2022 Melbourne Summer Set, in which Begu won 7-6 and 6-3.
