Use Fun Coins and Tokens to open mystery boxes
I signed up at Unbox.gg while searching for some sports trading cards. To my surprise, the site offered way more than that. You’ll find mystery boxes containing different low to high-value items. Moving on to how the site works: you choose a box, make a purchase, and open it to reveal a random reward.
Depending on the case you’ve selected, items you can pull range from everyday products to luxury ones. Mystery box openings aren’t the only thing you’ll find; Unbox.gg also features case battles where you and other collectors can compete for rewards. In my opinion, the case battles add a twist to the regular unboxing experience.
One thing to note, though, is that the site uses two virtual currencies called Fun Coins and Tokens. Fun Coins allowed me to try out the mystery box site for free. Collectors can claim some by heading to the Free to Play section. You can receive Tokens and Fun Coins after making a payment and through specific Unbox.gg promotions. Also keep in mind that Fun Coins can’t be exchanged for Tokens.
During my
Underdog Rips bonus
review, I could ship my packs to my address, and I was glad to see shipping was possible at Unbox.gg. However, shipping applies to only a few items, and availability still depends on your location.
There’s currently no sign-up bonus for new Unbox.gg collectors

Claim your daily cases bonus at Unbox.gg
I was looking forward to claiming a huge Unbox.gg welcome offer like the
PICKEM ripping packs bonus
for new collectors. Unfortunately, Unbox.gg didn’t offer me a sign-up bonus. Instead, I got a free Recruit Degen 1 box via the daily cases promotion with items I could convert to Tokens. After clicking open, I received a paper clip priced at 0.01 Token.
Despite the free box, I do hope Unbox.gg has plans to include a proper sign-up bonus in the near future.
Signing up at Unbox.gg doesn’t require a manual. Here are the steps you can follow to become a registered collector:
-
Tap the on-page banners to visit the official Unbox.gg website.
-
Type in your preferred username, email, and password.
-
Read and agree to the site’s terms and conditions and privacy policy.
-
Click the “Agree and Sign Up” button to complete the registration process.
Once you’ve signed up, you can claim more promotions through the Free to Play page. There’s also no need to enter a bonus code. You can use your Tokens and Fun Coins from your promos to open eligible mystery boxes.
With no sign-up offer available, I thought promotions might be a bit scarce on the site. Below are the ongoing promotions I found during my
Unbox.gg review:
Daily cases – Your rewards depend on your level
At Unbox.gg, you can claim daily case rewards based on your account level. To maintain your eligibility, you’ll need to meet a minimum deposit requirement for every 20 daily case claims. I enjoy seeing daily promotions at mystery box sites, unlike the
Cases.gg bonus, which I could only claim once a week via race.
Daily cases are all arranged in military ranking, which I found exciting.
Rakeback – Receive a part of what you spend
The site’s rakeback offers you a percentage of the house edge for every Token you spend on mystery boxes. Your percentage is then divided into instant, weekly, and monthly rewards.
For instance, I received an instant rakeback during my first session on the site. But I immediately noticed the other two rewards had a specific timeline. You can only receive your weekly rakeback from Friday to Saturday, and the monthly rakeback on the 5th day of each new month. Details on the specific time are included on the bonus information page.
Level cases – Claim keys with each level-up
This promotion was a bit similar to the daily case. Whenever you level up at Unbox.gg, you receive a key to open cases and receive rewards.
Mail-in entry – US collectors can claim 10 free Tokens
I wasn’t expecting to claim some extra Tokens during my time at Unbox.gg. The site, however, doesn’t just give them out to everybody. You’ll need to be a KYC-verified collector living within the US. If you meet this requirement, you can send in a letter to the site’s headquarters to receive 10 free Tokens.
Keep in mind that your letter must be handwritten on a 4×6 index card. I found a lot more information on this offer by reading through the terms and conditions.
Free Coins – Claim Fun Coins without a purchase
The site also lets you claim some Free Coins to extend your play. Scroll down to the bottom of the homepage and click on the Free to Play icon. I ended up on a different page, clicked the “Claim” button in the Free Coins section, and instantly received 200 Fun Coins in my balance.
That’s when I noticed the site used both Fun Coins and Tokens. I also found something similar while claiming my
Clash.gg bonus. Here, collectors use Coins and Gems.
Referral bonus – Receive a commission by inviting others
Opened some mystery boxes and want to invite friends over? Start by sending your unique referral link. Unbox.gg rewards you with a commission of up to 15% every time your friends buy mystery boxes on the site.
One of the easiest ways to claim rewards at Unbox.gg is by participating in social media giveaways. The site is live on both X and Discord. You can join the Discord community if you’re interested in extra Tokens and weekly giveaways.

Top tips to get the most out of Unbox.gg bonuses
I’ve picked up a few things from opening mystery boxes on Unbox.gg. Here are some of the top tips you can apply to improve your experience on the site:
🔍 Check the restrictions on each bonus
Don’t just automatically assume every Unbox.gg reward can be used on every case or even has the same conditions. Before you participate in a promotion, I highly recommend checking which cases are eligible, minimum activity, or expiry dates. A good example is the minimum deposit attached to the daily case promotion.
Doing this can help you avoid claiming a reward only to find out it doesn’t work the way you expected.
💰 Set a Token limit before opening cases
You should also decide how many Tokens you’re comfortable spending before you start opening mystery boxes. Once you’ve reached that limit, stop. Just because you’ve received a reward doesn’t mean you should increase your budget.
Mystery box prices range from around 0.02 Tokens to 40,000 Tokens. Applying this tip helped keep my spending under control, even when a bonus encouraged me to go for another round.
🔗 Use your referral link effectively
As I mentioned earlier, Unbox.gg offers a commission when your invited friends buy mystery boxes. To get the most out of your referral bonus, share your unique link to those genuinely interested in mystery boxes.
It’s easier to build a referral stream around an audience already interested in Unbox.gg. For instance, most of the friends I invited over had already been anticipating the kinds of mystery boxes they’d open on the site.
🎮 Check the Free to Play section
Logging on to the Unbox.gg homepage, you won’t exactly find every single promotion out in the open. Head to the bottom and click the Free to Play section to check available free Fun Coins.
Checking your free rewards first makes it easier for you to use what’s available, without automatically making a purchase. Also make sure to confirm which Unbox.gg currency each reward uses before opening a case.
🏆 Consider your level-up keys as an extra reward stream
I didn’t just focus on the promotions I could claim immediately. Each time you level up at Unbox.gg, you receive a key to open cases. I always make a mental note to check the Open Case section. You might have rewards waiting even when you’re not actively looking for a bonus.
I’d recommend signing up at Unbox.gg if you genuinely enjoy opening mystery boxes with rewards attached. I liked having free Fun Coins to try the site and the multiple promotions available to existing collectors.
However, the lack of a sign-up bonus did throw me off a little. But the free box via the Daily Cases was a nice consolation. I’d also appreciate it if Unbox.gg made the differences between Fun Coins and Tokens easier to understand. That’s especially for new collectors still on the fence about spending money.
