I’d say my Unbox.gg ratings were fair enough, given the interesting mystery boxes I opened and the exciting gaming experience that came with it. Still, not getting a traditional welcome bonus after signing up was a letdown.
Tokens and Fun Coins are used to open mystery boxes at Unbox.gg, and you can get them through several ongoing promotions, including rakebacks. From fast customer support to crypto-based payments, you get them all with a registered Unbox.gg account. Even though Unbox.gg offers several luxurious boxes, I still could unbox a case for just 0.09 Tokens.

Unbox.gg is among the many mystery box sites where you open boxes and pull real-world prizes using Tokens gotten from the site. Fun Coins are also available for unboxing but are solely for entertainment. The idea of opening a case here is simple: you pull an item from a mystery box, then either sell it back to the site, ship it to your physical address, or store it in a secure vault on the site.
Though you can’t typically play games at Unbox.gg, opening boxes on the site included two game modes to make your unboxing experience even better:
When I browsed Unbox.gg, I found more than 100 mystery boxes, all with fixed prices and items to pull. For my first pull, I chose a few starter boxes, like the Fitness box and Aroma drop box. Then I wanted to see what the premium boxes hold, so I clicked the 911 Turbo box and found luxury items such as the 2013 Porsche 911 Carrera.
At the bottom of each displayed mystery box, the price includes a dollar sign, but that doesn’t necessarily mean you open the box with USD. Instead of dollars, Unbox.gg typically shows prices in Tokens, so each dollar shown in a box price equals 1 Token. For example, the 911 Turbo box I checked out had a price of $2,344.97, but technically it takes 2,344.97 Tokens to open it.
Here’s something I’d like you to note: when opening a mystery box you bought, low-value items are more likely to be pulled than luxurious items. For instance, I saw a 92.7% probability of pulling the paper clip from the Recruit Degen box. But when it came to the 2013 Porsche 911 Carrera, the probability of pulling it from the 911 Turbo box was around 0.26%.
This game mode has you challenging other Unbox.gg players or a bot in winner-takes-all mystery unboxing battles. There are seven formats, including 1v1, 2v2, 2v2v2, 3v3, 3-way, 4-way, and 6-way to choose from, along with four modes to give you a unique gaming experience:
Better still, Unbox.gg lets you create your own battles based on what you want the experience to look like.
My Unbox.gg sign-up took a toll on me when I found out there wasn’t a typical welcome bonus. Still, I received a free Recruit Degen box, a daily case offer, to open right after registering.
The box contained eight items, ranging from a long-sleeved Valorant Championship sweater worth as much as $45 to a paper clip worth as little as $0.01. When I opened it, I pulled the paper clip valued at $0.01. Since it wasn’t valuable to me, I sold it back to the site and had $0.01 added to my Unbox.gg balance, though I actually received 0.01 Tokens.
Granted, I didn’t get a traditional welcome bonus, but I was pleased to open a free mystery box right after signing up, even though it was part of the daily case offer. So, my rating here is a 7/10. This is quite the opposite of what I found in my Underdog Rips review, where new players don’t get a bonus or even a free mystery box after creating an account.
Even without a welcome bonus to give you free Tokens, Unbox.gg offers several ways to open mystery boxes for free on the site. Here are the top promotions I enjoyed during this review:
I didn’t find any Unbox.gg bonus for new players, but every 24 hours, I logged in to my account and got a reward by opening the daily case.
With this promo, you can get a percentage of the house edge for every Token you use on the site. It’s rewarded instantly, weekly, or monthly. So even without a welcome bonus, you can still receive free Tokens and open boxes for free when you’re low on funds.
I had a few friends who were into mystery sites, so I invited them to Unbox.gg and got up to a 15% commission each time they bought a mystery box. All I had to do was get my unique referral link from the site and share it with my friends so they could sign up through the link. Once they did and started buying mystery boxes, I received commissions on their purchases.
Like I discovered in my Clash.gg review, cryptocurrency options are the first payment methods you’ll see at Unbox.gg. I found 13 cryptocurrencies available on the site, including DOGE, SOL, BTC, LTC, and USDT. There are also Visa, Mastercard, and gift card options for players who prefer fiat methods.
You can use all available cryptocurrencies to purchase Tokens on the site, but Unbox.gg supports only BTC, ETH, USDT, and LTC for withdrawals. While crypto transactions can be instant, processing time still depends on network congestion.

At first, I wasn’t sure how Unbox.gg works for opening mystery boxes, so I looked for an FAQ section to answer my questions. I didn’t find one, but I did spot the live chat icon floating on the screen. When I reached out to the live chat team, I got a reply from a human agent in almost a minute. Throughout my sessions, the average response time was never more than 3 minutes, and they were super helpful.
During this review, I was also able to use email support when I wanted to ask questions about the verification requirements for my account. But unlike my PICKEM ripping packs review, where email support took only a few hours, Unbox.gg took over 24 hours to respond.
So, if you need a quick response from Unbox.gg, it’s best to use the live chat option and resort to email support for non-urgent questions. Though live chat replies almost immediately, if I had to rate Unbox.gg’s overall support, I’d give it a 6/10. For me, that seems fair since there’s no phone support and email isn’t reliable for fast responses.

When I opened Unbox.gg’s website, its design and warm purple background felt welcoming. I didn’t search too long to see what the site offers because both the available boxes and case battles were right there on the homepage, neatly organized. From opening mystery boxes to selling unwanted items for Tokens, everything was quick and easy.
I didn’t have any issues finding the available promotions thanks to the clutter-free website. Just below the lined-up icons at the top of the homepage, you’ll find these promos, along with the free Recruit Degen 1 box you might get from the daily case offer (yours could be a different mystery box). Move down to the bottom of the homepage, and you’ll find quick links to important sections, including the site’s Terms and Conditions, social media pages, and supported payment options.
Aside from being easy on the eyes, pages loaded fast, and opening tabs was responsive. Unbox.gg doesn’t currently offer a native app. Still, if I were to rate its usability, I wouldn’t give it anything less than a 9/10. And that’s because it works well on both my mobile devices and PC.
I like that Unbox.gg uses SSL encryption to protect and secure my information on the site. It also complies with federal and local legislation in multiple US states, excluding . But it doesn’t stop there. Like you’ll see in my Cases.gg review, Unbox.gg uses Provably Fair Technology during unboxing, so every pull is random, and you can easily verify each pull with the site’s provably fair tool.
Before any purchase or withdrawal, though, KYC checks are required to verify your identity. Unbox.gg does these checks to make sure every piece of information you enter on the site matches what appears in your real-life documents. Still, the process is easy stuff, as they only require a valid government-issued ID, proof of address, and biometric facial recognition.
As a player, I felt good knowing that I can also use the Self-Exclusion feature whenever I want to take a break from the site. Then I can come back when I feel ready and continue from where I stopped.
Unbox.gg is a good fit if you just want to enjoy a unique unboxing experience for little or no cost. You’ll also enjoy the mystery box site if you don’t mind a bit of free case battles with other Unbox.gg players for prizes. Still, the site’s weak spot is that it doesn’t offer a traditional welcome bonus after signing up.
Having said that, I can’t completely write off Unbox.gg just because it doesn’t offer a sign-up bonus. I like that the site gives out free Tokens through multiple ongoing promotions, and you can use them to open boxes from time to time. In my opinion, Unbox.gg is a top pick for both players who don’t mind spending large funds unboxing and those with little funds who want to enjoy opening mystery boxes at any time. That’s why the mystery box site gets an 8.5/10 overall rating from me.
If Unbox.gg sounds like a mystery box site you’d like, click the banners on this page to visit its official site and sign up.

If you open a mystery box and don’t like the item you pulled, you can sell it back to the site and get Tokens in return.
Yes. The site offers several ongoing promotions, including daily cases and rakeback, which you can claim to open mystery boxes for free.
