Whenever a new prediction market launches you can bet that I’m going to head straight over and see what’s what. My immediate impression was that the site is heavy on the markets, and light on the Sleeper markets promo offers.

I couldn’t find a prediction-specific sign up offer, but there is a sign up offer for the Sleepers fantasy football site. This is found in the same Sleeper app as the prediction market, but the sign up offer doesn’t quite cross over. In lieu of a specific sign up offer, I’ll discuss other Sleeper offers as an example.

What is the latest Sleeper markets promo code?

Sleeper prediction markets is the latest site to be added into the platform, focusing on making predictions and trading on real sporting events. I couldn’t find a whole lot when it came to promotional offers or promo codes here, as I mentioned in my Sleeper markets review and believe me I tried. Usually when a new site launches, I’d be here to tell you all about the latest sign up offers and what kind of bonus you can expect. But right now it looks like Sleeper is focusing on getting their markets out rather than building a new user offer. While this is understandable for a new site, it is likely to make people less inclined to sign up since there’s no huge incentive. So I thought that I’d take a look at the other sign up offers available from Sleeper, to give you an idea of what you might expect to see in the future.

There are two sign up offers at Sleeper, a 100% deposit match which is valid up to $100 and a $20 bonus credit. You don’t need to use a Sleeper markets promo code to claim them, mainly because the offers are only valid for the Player Picks. This is the fantasy football side of the Sleeper platform and it functions completely separately to the prediction market. All bonuses that are added to your Sleeper account are done so as playthrough credits, which basically means that they have to be played through before you can make any withdrawals. Once the Sleeper markets sign up offer has been announced, we’ll know more about what these playthrough requirements might look like. You might be thinking, well surely I can just use these credits in the Sleeper Team Picks, which is where you’ll find the prediction markets. But this actually isn’t possible (I checked!) because they function as two separate sides of the app.

If you did actually want to claim this sign up offer, then you’d need to use the credits over in the Sleeper Player Picks side of the app. This works very similarly to fantasy football, so you can use your credits to make player picks and build teams. You still won’t be able to withdraw any of the bonus credits until you’ve met those playthrough requirements, which is very common at platforms such as this like in my Prophet Exchange review. So the long and short of it is that there isn’t a specific sign up offer for the Sleeper predictions app. But when it does get launched, which I hope will be soon, it’s likely to look something like this one for Player Picks.

How to get started with Sleeper prediction markets

Even though you can’t claim a sign up offer for joining the prediction market side of Sleeper, that doesn’t mean that there isn’t still plenty of enjoyment to be found. I found loads of markets on upcoming events which were primarily focused on major leagues. While I didn’t find a whole load of niche sports like in my PredictIt review, it’s possible that the app will continue to expand. Typically, then a site is newly launched, there are some elements missing like the sign up offer. I do expect that this will get added on in time, but right now there’s no timeline for when this might happen. But if you’d like to join now then you just need to:

  1. Click on our page banners for Sleeper to load up the site in a new tab or browser.

  2. Open the left hand menu and click on the Sleeper Team Picks link.

  3. From here choose whether you’d like to download the app in the Google or Apple app stores. Sleeper prediction markets are only available in the app, so downloading it is the only way to access this side of the site.

  4. Download the app and launch it when it’s ready.

  5. If by this point there is a Sleeper markets promo code, then this is where you’d enter it.

  6. Follow the instructions for creating your account, including filling in all your details and choosing a username and password.

To find all of the available Sleeper markets, you just need to go to the Picks section and make sure you switch to the team tab. Despite the fact that they’re in the same app, the Player Picks and the Team Picks (prediction markets) function completely separately. If you want to claim the sign up offer I mentioned earlier, then you’ll need to use it within the Player Picks tab. Well, at least until one becomes available for the Team Picks anyway.

What’s the difference between Player Picks and Team Picks at Sleeper?

Something that has started causing a lot of confusion since it launched, is the difference between Player Picks and Team Picks at Sleeper. They sound very similar but they actually do completely different things, even though you can access them both in the same app. The side of the app that I’m focusing on in this review is Team Picks which is another name for the Sleeper prediction markets. With this you’ll trade on Yes or No contracts for specific sports events and markets.

For example, if we take a look at an upcoming WNBA game, it’s possible to make four different trades in one game. According to Sleeper, for the Dream vs Tempo game, there’s a 75% chance that Dream will win, and a 27% chance that Tempo will win. This probability then directly links to the price of each contract, so I could either trade on the Yes or No outcome for Dream to win, or the Yes or No outcome for Tempo to win. If I were going to follow these probabilities, then I’d likely trade on the Yes outcome for Dream and the No outcome for Tempo. The price per contract for the Dream Yes outcome is $0.75 which means that if I trade on this event and win, I’d receive a $0.25 profit per contract that I purchased. This is because every contract that settles in your favor, pays out at $1, but the profit you receive will depend on the price of the contract when you purchased it. All of this is very similar to how it works for making predictions on Kalshi perpetual futures and other markets.

This is all quite different to the Player Picks, which follows the fantasy sports model of choosing players and building teams. The main similarity between them, is that the outcomes of your trade is determined by the real life outcomes of the games and the performance of the players. Otherwise, it’s very different and not something that you want to get mixed up.

Conclusion – There is no Sleeper markets sign up offer

It’s unfortunate that Sleeper hasn’t yet launched a sign up offer for the prediction market side of the app, so right now the only one available is for Team Picks. Even though they’re in the same app, they function as separate entities, so you won’t be able to claim the Player Picks bonus credit and then use it with Team Picks. I’ll be keeping my eye out for when the prediction market sign up offer does launch, because I do expect that it will happen soon. For now, there are some great sports markets worth exploring at Sleeper. Just remember that this is a mobile only platform so you’ll need to download the app to access it.

As soon as I receive an update about the Sleeper sign up offer, I’ll pop it in the page banners. But for now, you’ll find all the links to download the app there.
