Details
Player Reviews

ROLR has really made itself stand out as a prediction market site that every trader should visit at least once. It offers many excellent bonuses and useful trading features, which I introduce in this ROLR review.

A significant advantage of ROLR is the free-to-trade service, which allows you to trade its contracts without spending real money. This is a great way to test the site and a useful feature for beginners trying to get used to prediction markets. In this review, I will cover everything the site has to offer, so stick around to find out.

How does the ROLR prediction market work?

Prediction markets are platforms where you can trade contracts on the outcome of a real-world event. However, the ROLR prediction market is slightly different from a regular prediction market, like what I described in my PredictIt review. Since it’s still in its early release stage, ROLR offers a free-to-use service.

As a free-to-use prediction market site, ROLR allows you to trade contracts using a virtual currency instead of real money. You can purchase any contract you desire using ROLR credits, which you get for free through various promotions.

Trading contracts on ROLR

Just like real-money prediction market sites, ROLR lets you purchase Yes or No contracts on any event. When you try to purchase a Yes or No contract, you must purchase the contract price, which is between $0.01 and $0.99. You can purchase multiple contracts for the same event, and if your prediction is correct, each contract will settle at $1.

For instance, you can find Yes contracts valued at $0.64 and No contracts at $0.36 for an event involving Lionel Messi as the top goalscorer at the 2026 World Cup. If you purchase the Yes contracts ($0.64 each) and Messi ends the World Cup as the top scorer, then each Yes contract you hold will be worth $1. However, if Messi fails to secure the top scorer award, all contracts will be worth $0.

To make it easier to understand the trades on ROLR, the platform uses a $ 1-to-1 ROLR credit exchange system. So, if you choose to purchase 100 units of the $0.64 Yes contracts, you’ll need to pay 64 ROLR credits.

Contract settlement on ROLR

One area where I found a noticeable difference between ROLR and other sites like Kalshi or Moomoo is in settlements. Unlike other major platforms that allow you to exit a trade early at a fee, ROLR locks in your trade until the official settlement date. So, even if a news update affects your predictions, you’re unable to minimize your losses by exiting early.

Setting up an account and verification

While you can learn about ROLR and its promotions on its official website, you need an account to view the various markets on the platform. The good news is that the registration process is quite straightforward. During my ROLR review, I had to set up an account, and I completed the process within a minute. This is one of the fastest registration processes I’ve seen, and all you need to do is follow these steps:

  1. Open the ROLR official website using the links on this page.

  2. Click the Sign Up button at the top of the screen.

  3. Select the option to sign up using your email address or Google account. I prefer using an email.

  4. Enter an email address for your account and provide a password.

  5. Choose a username for your account.

  6. Verify your email address.

After verifying your email address on ROLR, you’ll be able to log in to your account. The moment you sign in for the first time, you will receive 1,000 ROLR credits as your welcome bonus. You can start purchasing contracts the moment you’re ready, since there is no additional requirement after setting up an account.

New member requirements: Eligibility to use the ROLR app

The ROLR website is a free-to-use platform, but it’s only open to individuals who reside in the US. However, there are some states where the site doesn’t operate, including the following:

  • Alaska
  • Alabama
  • Arkansas
  • Arizona
  • California
  • Colorado
  • Connecticut
  • Washington, D.C.
  • Delaware
  • Florida
  • Georgia
  • Hawaii
  • Iowa
  • Idaho
  • Illinois
  • Indiana
  • Kansas
  • Kentucky
  • Louisiana
  • Massachusetts
  • Maryland
  • Maine
  • Michigan
  • Minnesota
  • Missouri
  • Mississippi
  • Montana
  • North Carolina
  • North Dakota
  • Nebraska
  • New Hampshire
  • New Jersey
  • New Mexico
  • Nevada
  • New York
  • Ohio
  • Oklahoma
  • Oregon
  • Pennsylvania
  • Rhode Island
  • South Carolina
  • South Dakota
  • Tennessee
  • Texas
  • Utah
  • Virginia
  • Vermont
  • Washington
  • Wisconsin
  • West Virginia
  • Wyoming

In addition to being in a state where ROLR operates, you must also meet its age requirement. Only individuals aged 18 or older can sign up on the site, which aligns with the requirements for prediction market trading in various parts of the US.

Identity verification is a part of the requirements to use ROLR, but this only comes into effect once you’re eligible for a prize. The process takes a few minutes, and the operator will let you know when you need to complete the process.

Bonuses you can find at ROLR

One of the things I look forward to on prediction market sites is the bonuses they offer members. Most operators have a welcome offer and referral bonus for members, and I found these bonuses during my ROLR review. You don’t need a ROLR promo code to claim any of these offers, but you do need to follow certain steps.

πŸŽ‰ Welcome Bonus

ROLR has a unique welcome bonus, which it brands as its Prediction Trade Challenge. After setting up an account on ROLR, you receive 1,000 ROLR credits to start trading on the platform. Each trade contributes points to the Prediction Trade Challenge, so this is a huge boost.

πŸ“… Daily Login Bonus

Staying true to what free-to-use sites offer, ROLR has a daily login bonus that you can claim every 24 hours. Whenever you log in for the day, you get 150 ROLR credits to trade on any event you want. There is a countdown timer to let you know when the next bonus will be available, which is great for tracking the offer. If you’re online when the countdown reaches zero, a pop-up will automatically appear. So, it’s almost impossible to miss your offer.

🀝 Referral Bonus

The referral bonus at ROLR is another great way to get free credits. There are several rewards available with this offer, starting with free credits. You get 50 credits for each friend you invite, and this can increase to 200 credits once you reach the maximum milestone level. Plus, everyone you invite gets 25 ROLR credits. Everyone starts without a level, and after inviting a few individuals, you get to the Recruiter level. Progressing through the milestone levels also gets you additional rewards, including raffle entries for the Mid-season and Grand prize draws, worth $15,000 and $50,000, respectively.

Prediction markets on ROLR

ROLR gives you the option to trade on events from 8 different markets. I only found the option to trade event contracts, making it a prediction-only site. There are other prediction market sites that offer additional services, such as the Kalshi perpetual futures and Moomoo options trading. The absence of additional services doesn’t make me think less of ROLR. It just means the operator will have more resources to improve its prediction market service.

For anyone who simply wants to trade event contracts, you’ll have the option to get events from these markets:

  • Sports: The ROLR sports market lets you trade events from 18+ sports. Some of these sports offer over 1,000 events, so you’ll have many options. You’ll have the option to trade prop events, moneylines, and point spreads.
  • Crypto: For individuals who know a lot about cryptocurrencies, this market will give you access to 5-minute, 15-minute, hourly, and daily events. These are great for short-term event trades on the site.
  • Politics: An option for individuals who are familiar with the political landscape of the US and other foreign nations. These markets usually have a decent trading volume, so they’re great to visit.
  • Finance: These focus on stock and commodity prices, as well as other investment instruments. Many of the events here settle weekly, so they’re also great for short-term options.
  • Tech & AI: This market lets you place predictions on various AI companies and models.

The user experience on the ROLR prediction market site

Compared to many other prediction market sites I’ve visited, ROLR has one of the cleanest user interfaces. There is minimal clutter, which makes navigation on the site a joy. There is a navbar at the top of the page for quick access to prediction market categories, including sports, crypto, economics, and politics. I also had access to a search bar, which was very useful when I was searching for specific events on the site.

A light switch is located at the top of the screen, allowing you to toggle between light and dark mode based on your preference. However, while I love this feature, it would be great to have the option to set an automatic schedule so I don’t have to change the theme manually every time.

On the home page, you’ll find cards showing different events that you can trade. Clicking on any of these cards will open an expanded view of the event, where you’ll find a price chart, trade options, and rules for the event. Placing a trade is similar to what you find on other real money prediction market sites. However, you’ll also get details of how many points you receive towards the leaderboard event based on the number of contracts you purchase.

ROLR lets you track all your contracts in a Portfolio tab on your dashboard. To get to the portfolio tab, you can click on your profile icon to open a side menu, and then find the Portfolio link. Here, you’ll find information on the following:

  • Available ROLR credits
  • Prediction points (leaderboard)
  • Win rate
  • Open positions
  • Streak
  • Referral milestone

Whenever an event settles, you’ll get a notification on the outcome. This notification will include the total amount you gained from the trade, which is useful if you don’t want to open the portfolio tab.

The ROLR mobile prediction market

Mobile trading on ROLR is only available through a mobile web browser. You won’t find a downloadable mobile app right now, and this is likely to remain the case until the platform starts operating as a real-money prediction market site.

The ROLR mobile website has all the features you’ll find on the desktop version, but it has some navigation features that make it faster. There is a bar at the bottom of the screen that gives you quick access to the home, live events, leaderboard, and profile sections. The events are sorted in a list format, so all you have to do is scroll down the screen to view them.

Payments at ROLR

The option to make payments at ROLR would allow you to spend real money on the site. However, as I mentioned, ROLR doesn’t support real-money event contracts at the moment. So, real money payment options aren’t available on ROLR.

One thing to remember is that ROLR is still in its early launch phase, so the operator will make several major changes to the platform. Among these changes, the most obvious will be the inclusion of real money event trading. When this happens, I expect the addition of top payment options like bank cards (Visa and Mastercard), bank transfers, and PayPal. There is also a chance that cryptocurrencies will be available, but you don’t find this option on many sites.

I was half expecting to find an option to purchase ROLR credits, but didn’t find it on the site. Right now, the only way to get ROLR credits is through its welcome bonus, daily login rewards, and referral bonuses that I described earlier.

Contacting support at ROLR

The option to contact support is a crucial part of any online service, so I considered this feature during my ROLR review. During my test, I found an excellent FAQ section. Here, you’ll find six categories, including Account, Contest Rules, Prizes, Legal, Technical, and Finals. Under each category, you’ll find specific topics that explain various aspects of the ROLR platform.

If you’re not interested in the FAQ section, the only option is to email the ROLR support team. You can send your email to support@rolr.com, but responses can take up to 24 hours. Faster options like live chat and telephone support aren’t available yet, but these channels may become available once the ROLR platform fully launches.

Licensing of the ROLR prediction market

ROLR US LLC is a member of the National Futures Association, so it has appropriate licensing to operate. If you’re worried about its service, you must understand that its operations are legal and safe. Its operations also fall under the regulatory jurisdiction of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), so you can be sure that fraud detection and prevention will be a priority at ROLR. The CFTC usually provides guidelines for the operations of prediction markets, and this ensures that your funds will remain safe while you remain a member of the ROLR platform.

Conclusion: A top prediction market worth visiting before its full launch

ROLR might give the impression that it’s still in its pre-launch state, but the features I found while using the platform indicate that it’s ready for a full release. It gives members access to most of the important prediction markets, and the site’s bonuses are top-tier. Although many of these offers only work because it’s in a free-to-trade phase, I do hope we get some of these promotions when it becomes a real-money trading platform. If you don’t have an account on ROLR, you should create one to try it out before its full launch. The operator is currently running a Prediction Trade Challenge, and the $25,000,000 grand prize is a big deal. I know this grand prize will be hard to hit, so I really appreciate ROLR’s inclusion of additional bonuses.

Placing a trade on ROLR costs you nothing, making it an ideal option for beginners. I accumulated over 3,000 ROLR credits within two weeks of using the site, which shows how easy it is to earn play credits. You can sign up using the links on this page, and you’ll get 1,000 ROLR credits as a welcome bonus to start trading.

ROLR review FAQs

Yes, ROLR is a legal prediction market site to use in the US. However, its service is unavailable in nine US states, including Alaska, Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Washington, D.C., Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Iowa, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, Montana, North Carolina, North Dakota, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, Nevada, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Vermont, Washington, Wisconsin, West Virginia, and Wyoming If you still want to trade event contracts from any of these states, you can do so on a different prediction market site that operates in one of them.

πŸ“± How do you use the ROLR platform on mobile devices?

ROLR supports event trading on mobile devices through web browsers. This means you’ll have the option to open the ROLR website using Safari or Google Chrome on your mobile phone. However, if you’re only interested in using a downloadable app, ROLR doesn’t have one at the moment. Once ROLR enters its full release phase, I expect iOS and Android apps to be part of its offerings.

✨ What makes ROLR different from other prediction markets?

ROLR stands out from other prediction markets due to its free-to-use model. This means it only supports trades using a virtual currency rather than fiat currency. The use of virtual currency makes ROLR free to use, which is a huge benefit for beginners who’re learning about prediction markets. You can also find other free-to-use prediction markets, and you can go through my Prophet Exchange review to learn about one of them.
