After exploring the platform and finding its superb collection of NBA predictions, I made this Prophet X review to help traders find out more about their offers. So far, I was impressed with its other markets of 20+ other sports.
So far, I found out that everything about this site is shifting towards making a smooth trade on all the sports leagues out there. What makes it better is that this platform is streamlined for both iOS and Android devices. New traders also get to score a $75 trading bonus. Let’s dig deep on the details for Prophet X.
I’m a hardcore NBA fan, so a site has to have predictions for it; otherwise, I ain’t interested. Prophet X delivers buck loads of options! This includes markets for every regular season game, plus the Playoffs and Finals.
I was also impressed that they have an NBA futures section too, and similar to what I did in my Fanatics Review, I traded two predictions straight away with my $75 sign-up bonus:
Hopefully something will come of these later in the year! As a side note – I love how intuitive and detailed the prediction “bet slips” are. You get loads of useful info, including the liquidity on the order book, and how much potential return you’ll stand to make if your prediction settles in the money.
Despite not caring about other sports, I checked out the other categories Prophet X had, and boy was I impressed! They’ve got 20+ different sections and they cover most of the popular sports you’d expect to see, including:
This isn’t a full list, and you’ve also got markets for all the US pro leagues, including the NFL, MLB, MLS, and NHL. Compared to other sites, and what I found in my OG review, Prophet X is easily on par with the best sports prediction sites in terms of variety.
I looked into a few of the categories too to see what types of predictions you could make for individual games. The NFL section, for instance, I couldn’t believe how many different markets they had for each game. For example, at the time I made my Prophet X login, it was NFL Week 4 and I checked predictions for the Colts vs. Commanders:
| Prophet X Prediction | Yes | No |
|---|---|---|
| Indianapolis Colts to win | 64c | 35c |
| Washington Commanders Spread of +3 | 44c | 56c |
| Jonathan Taylor to score a touchdown | 71c | N/A |
| Daniel Jones Passing Yards – Over 224.5 | 52c | 50c |
There’s like 10+ markets for every game, and this trend held true for the other sports too. It’s definitely one of the most detailed sports prediction sites I’ve tried so far.
In terms of trading fees, my Prophet X ratings were average; they use a set 2% rate on net gains per market. I’m not 100% convinced about this method – it does mean some of the higher-priced trade contracts can be difficult to make a return on. I’d prefer it if they used a variable formula that accounts for the trade contract price.
Now, for this Prophet X review, I did use the desktop website, and it’s fine. However, compared to my findings in the ADI Predictstreet review I did, I can see that some people might find it cluttered. There is a hell of a lot going on and a crap load of information to look at. I think this is mainly because of the massive prediction volume they have, but as a result I found myself sticking to the Prophet X app.
They’ve got an Android and iOS app, and I downloaded the Play Store version for my battered old Samsung Galaxy. It worked a treat! It’s got a decent 4.3-star rating from the Play Store, and I think they’ve done a much better job with the layout in comparison to the desktop site. It doesn’t feel anywhere near as cluttered, and I like the way that you can switch between different sports and individual prediction markets.
You get a scrolling nav bar at the top to switch between sports, then underneath that you get a second menu to scroll through the different predictions – it’s all quite slick. I also saw no difference with the features, and I actually unlocked the Prophet X bonus on the smartphone app when I first used my Prophet X login.
Once I’d done messing around with the predictions, I knuckled down and looked at the underlying features. I wanted to make sure Prophet X was legit after all.
I never felt at risk while using the site or Android app. From what I can see, there are basic expected features like SSL encryption. Also, when I did the Prophet X sign-up process, I had to verify my phone number and email before I could continue.
There’s also an ID check requirement before you can access all of the site’s features, which helps prevent fraud.
I thought Prophet X had live chat support at first, but it’s not. There is a chat box, but this is just a feature so you can leave a message – I was never connected to anyone, and instead I got an email reply a few hours later.
Because of that, I tested the US phone number – this worked loads better. I got through to someone within a few minutes, and they were able to help with my query about the welcome bonus. The only downside is that this phone number has limited hours of operation – 8am-8pm EST every day. I guess that’s still pretty good and covers most of the main hours people might be trading.
Lastly, you can check out the help center and search for info. I used this three times to find info about deposits, withdrawals, and the referral scheme. There’s a search bar, and the answers are incredibly detailed.
While I was making this Prophet X review, I made a couple of deposits and each time I used Google Pay. The process was simple and my account was credited instantly. Withdrawals were also a similar affair – I was able to use a different payment method to withdraw, and there were allowances for additional 2FA checks if you have them on your bank account.
The only thing was that withdrawal processing was a little slow. I did one withdrawal and it took around 72 hours to actually land in my bank account – I’ve had other sites process withdrawals within 24 hours for example. Still, there were no payment fees, and aside from the sluggish withdrawals, everything else checked out. I’ve given a simple summary table below showing the payment methods and limits:
| Deposits | Debit Card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Cash at Retail, EdgeBoost, Online Banking (Aeropay), Crypto, Wire |
| Withdrawals | Online Banking (Aeropay), Debit Card, Paper Check, Wire |
| Minimum Payment Limits | $10.00 |
| Maximum Payment Limits | Varies depending on the payment method |
| Withdrawal processing times | Up to 5 business days |
I wasn’t expecting a welcome offer after completing my PrizePicks review, but Prophet X delivers! As a new customer, I was able to sign up, and get a $75 trading bonus. Terms and conditions for this offer include:
As soon as my $50 in trades were settled, I got 3x $25 trading bonuses at intervals of the first day, 7th day, and 14th day. So you basically get $75 over a two-week period. After that there weren’t any other limitations – I just had to make sure I used the $75 trading bonus within 45 days which I thought was pretty solid.
I rate this welcome offer highly – it’s easy to understand, the terms are pretty lax, and you can do what you want with the trading bonus. Other than that, Prophet X also has a referral program where you can get a $25 referral bonus for each friend that you successfully refer.
My Prophet X review might be done, but I’m sure as hell gonna continue trading here. When the NBA Regular season starts, I can see this being my go-to exchange. The best selling point for me is the prediction variety. They’ve got everything covered in terms of the sports and the individual game prediction markets.
Other areas of the exchange aren’t lacking either. The mobile apps are epic, you can deposit and withdraw easily, and they offer great liquidity for most markets. My main gripe is the set 2% trading fee for net gains – this is a little inflexible, and I think they should look at this again.
Regardless, though, I recommend Prophet X for all you sports fans out there and if you want to give it a try, use the banners I’ve put here and get signed up.
It has a limited selection of political predictions relating to the US Midterms and Presidential Elections, but that’s it. It is, for all intents and purposes, a dedicated sports prediction exchange.
Yes. At the time of creating this Prophet X review, the site operates under regulation from the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. There is a complete breakdown of the regulatory info and other important rules in their terms of use section.
You aren’t. You are trading predictions with other users. Prophet X has no house edge or odds – you simply buy and sell sports trade contracts with other users, at the prices people are willing to pay.
