While you may not find an exclusive Polymarket sign up bonus for new traders, there are a few rewards for existing traders. This guide explores the current bonuses and promotions at the popular prediction market site.
We found two trading rewards for Polymarket traders: holding and liquidity rewards. Both of these rewards are available to all existing US traders without needing any promo codes. Keep reading for the lowdown, plus insight into how the overall trading experience works, including how to buy and sell contracts on various future events, such as sports predictions and political outcomes.
If you have read our Polymarket review, you would know there is no sign up reward for new traders. While some prediction market apps offer exclusive welcome offers, it is surprising that Polymarket has gone this route. However, should there be a change and an exclusive sign up promo be released, we will update this page with the relevant details.
For now, though, despite no welcome bonus, you can still sign up without a promo code and start buying and selling contracts. As long as you are 18+ and reside in a US state, you can use the banners on this page to create a new trading account. Below is a guide on how to join Polymarket:

While there’s no welcome bonus here, unlike what we found in our Fanduel Predict rating, Polymarket does have an interesting loyalty rewards scheme for existing traders. There are two types: holding rewards and liquidity rewards.
| Polymarket reward | Details |
|---|---|
| Holding Rewards | Incentives for traders that maintain positions in long-term future event contracts |
| Liquidity Rewards | Rewards for traders who ‘help’ by providing market depth by placing limit orders close to the market’s average price |
Polymarket offers a 4% annualized holding reward for traders who maintain positions on long-term contracts. If you purchase a Yes or No contract on different future events and hold your position (do not sell early) until the conclusion of the real-world event, you can get a potential holding reward. Similar to the Polymarket fees page, you can read the holding rewards page for more information on the terms and conditions and how the 4% reward is calculated.
Polymarket rewards traders who help keep the market active and balanced by placing limit orders close to the market’s average price. The closer your orders are to the average market price, the more rewards you could receive. The minimum liquidity reward available is $1 and is paid daily to your trading account.
If you’re thinking about jumping into Polymarket, here’s a quick look at the perks (and a couple of things to keep in mind) before you dive in:
Polymarket is a legal prediction market that is available in all 50 US states. Since acquiring QCEX, a licensed derivatives exchange, Polymarket is regulated by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) and operates as a Designated Contract Market (DCM).
All trades on the site are binary outcomes (Yes/No). You can trade on various future events, including sports event trading, election outcomes, culture predictions and economic forecasts. Since Polymarket is not a sportsbook, the platform does not set its own contracts. Instead, the value of each contract is based on the total trades made by other users on the likelihood of an event occurring. The bigger the price of a contract, the more likely it is that the traders believe an event will occur.
You are also allowed to close your positions early by selling contracts before the real-world event can end. However, you must account for market volume and liquidity when settling your positions early, as if there is not sufficient market volume and no one is willing to buy your contract, you risk adverse selection.
Below is an example of how to read Polymarket odds as probabilities for a future event contract:
Let’s say a sports event contract has the Boston Celtics at $0.65 to beat the New York Knicks in regular-season NBA action. This does not mean that the Celtics are 65/100 in the market, as Polymarket is not a sportsbook. Instead, the $0.65 price implies that traders believe there is a 65% chance the Celtics will beat the Knicks. If you also believe that the Celtics will win, then you can purchase $100 worth of contracts and receive 153.85 contracts ($100/0.65). If the Celtics win, you will win $153.85 ($53.85 in profit); however, if the Knicks win, you will lose your initial $100.
Now that Polymarket is live and 100% legal in the US, many new traders will be signing up to buy and sell contracts on various future events. However, one interesting aspect of the registration process is the absence of a sign up bonus. Unfortunately, when you register for the first time, you will not receive any welcome rewards.
While this is disappointing, the good news is that there is a standout promo for existing US traders. The loyalty rewards from the holding rewards and liquidity rewards ensure that registered US traders can receive some form of bonuses when purchasing contracts. It is easy to unlock your trading rewards, but please remember to read the terms and conditions, as there is plenty of information to dissect.

At the time of writing, there is no exclusive Polymarket welcome bonus for new US traders.
One of the main offers for registered traders is the holding rewards and liquidity rewards. Holding rewards are incentives (4% annualized holding bonus) for traders who maintain positions in long-term future event contracts. Liquidity rewards are for traders who assist with market depth by placing limit orders close to the market’s average price. The minimum liquidity reward available is $1 and is credited daily to your account.
