Bonus Offers - The Pointsbet bonus offer

Just like our 4NJBets review, one of the most important aspects of our Pointsbet review is their bonus offer. Bonus offers are often used by operators to set themselves apart from the crowd. Sports betting is an extremely competitive industry, and in order to draw in new customers you have to create an enticing welcome bonus.

Pointsbet have got their welcome bonus spot on and they offer incredible value to any new customers. Because of how great this offer seems on paper, many people believe the Pointsbet scam theory. Most users find it hard to believe that such an offer is not sustainable if there are thousands of new customers every month.

Pointsbet offers two risk free bets of up to $2000 if you use the Pointsbet promo code ‘VIBONUS’. Up to $1,500 back if you lose your first Pointsbet wager and up to $500 back if you lose your first Fixed Odds wager. This is an extremely generous offer that you wouldn’t easily find anywhere else. This has led to many people asking ‘is Pointbet legit’?

Our team dug deep into everything you need to know about the Pointsbet bonus offer, and we made sure to leave no stone unturned so that you don’t have to. It’s always important to read through the terms and conditions as they could have some fine print that might catch you out if you’re not careful.

T’s and C’s

This welcome bonus from Pointsbet is only available to new customers, as the name suggests. You can also only create one account per person, so there’s no way of tricking the system into giving you another welcome bonus if you’ve already created an account with Pointsbet in the past.

The risk free bets essentially refund you if you have lost your bet. You won’t get a refund if you’ve won. The trick here is to make a risky bet that you wouldn’t normally consider. If you lose you get your money back, and if you win you get a big payout.

Your free bet refund will be processed as free bets to your account 24 hours after the bet has been settled. This means that you can’t withdraw your refunded money until you have wagered it at least once in another bet.

Pointsbet keeps on giving

Welcome offers are not the only bonuses that Pointsbet gives out. There are constant new offers and bonuses that are brought to the table, which really boosts the Pointsbet rating in our books. From bet insurances to odd boosters and even free bets, Pointsbet are consistently giving their users a great incentive to get involved in the latest events across their multitude of sporting markets such as NFL, NBA, NHL, and more.

Usability, Look & Feel - Fast, easy and reliable

During our Pointsbet review we set out to test the platform for ourselves. We always want to make sure that we recommend the best platforms for our readers, and the usability of the website is one of the top priorities on that list.

One of the most important aspects that we always check is the reliability of the website. The last thing you want is to get an error message or for the website to drop while you’re using it. Our team spent several hours on the website to make sure that the website does not have any issues. This is what makes Pointsbet reliable. We found no issues with lag, slow loading times or connection drops.

Our entire team had a pleasant experience on the Pointsbet website and app with no issues at all. The website is fast and easy to use, which makes it a great platform for beginners as well. The website is regularly maintained which ensures that it remains up to standard.

The platform is extremely easy to navigate, with the navigation menu displaying all the sports listings, promotion offers, or boosted odds. This makes it easier to access any section of the website that you need.

At the bottom of the page you can find all the information about Pointsbet, including the Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy, and FAQ. This is one way to prove the Pointsbet scam theory wrong. By providing all the information you need to know about the company in a clear and easy to find way they show that they have nothing to hide from their users.

Overall the website and the app are both extremely easy to use, which is ideal if you’re new to sportsbetting and need a simplified platform to work with. The simplicity of the Pointsbet does not detract from more experienced users either, and they might find the minimalistic feel of the website refreshing compared to some of the other platforms on our gambling sites list.

Payments - Limited options

Unfortunately this is one section where Pointsbet is lacking. They have a limited selection of payment methods available, and some of the most popular methods such as PayPal and Cash at Cage are also missing from the Pointsbet website.

The available payment methods that are listed on the Pointsbet website are Visa, Mastercard, and Online Banking. However, these payment methods do make Pointsbet secure. The available payment methods are safe and reliable and you can be assured that your money will reach your account.

Some funds may be withheld until all bets are settled. There’s no need to worry if you feel like your payment or withdrawal is taking longer than usual. As with any other sportsbook there are strict laws that Pointsbet need to follow when it comes to the verification of users before the payments are processed, making Pointsbet secure and safe to use.

One of the plus points of Pointsbet is that they have a low limit of deposits and withdrawals. With just $5 you can add funds into your account or withdraw it from your account. This is great news for beginners who don’t want to risk too much of their own money while they’re learning the ropes.

Customer Service - Top marks for customer support

Customer service is one of the areas where Pointsbet excels. The customer service section can be accessed with ease by scrolling to the bottom of the page. You’re just one click away from getting help if you’re stuck with something.

You might be asking yourself the question; ‘is Pointsbet legit?’ Customer service can go a long way to calm your nerves and reassure you that Pointsbet is secure. Since we’re conducting a Pointsbet review it’s important for our team to test the customer service.

While you’ll find a comprehensive list of questions and answers to get through, there are excellent live chat and email options which are the most impressive elements to the customer service that Pointsbet has on offer. The live chat is extremely friendly, helpful and quick to respond, which is why we love the Pointsbet customer service.

If you have more detailed questions to ask you can use the email service which is also relatively quick. The email service is just as helpful, and it is simply a case of which method you prefer to communicate with the team.

The fact that their customer service is top notch makes Pointsbet legit and you can contact them if you get stuck or need some help. They are quick to respond to your questions and always happy to help you out.

License & Security - Is Pointsbet secure?

Just as we asked “Is Resorts legit?”, one of the most important factors to consider when you’re on the hunt for a new operator is whether their platform is safe to use. Security is crucial in our modern society where scams and cybercrime thrive on the internet. So, is PointsBet legal?

When doing our Pointsbet review there are a few key checks that we need to tick off our list. The very first thing we check is whether the website is secure. If you check the URL (address bar) the protocol should say ‘HTTPS’. This shows that the website is secure and that your data won’t be stolen while you’re browsing on it.

Virginia (US) Lottery Board
New Jersey (US)
Australia’s Northern Territory
Michigan (US)

We also thoroughly check the credentials of the platform. We start by doing some research on their licensing to see where they can legally operate. Pointsbet can legally operate in a number of states including NJ, IN, IL, IA, MI, CO, WV, VA and Canada. This makes Pointsbet secure and you can trust their website.

We also make sure that the platform operates properly and that there are no questionable actions that take place. For example, thorough verification is required when signing up to Pointsbet, which ensures that there are no fake accounts or minors that make use of the website illegally.

Thus, we can proudly report that Pointsbet is secure, reliable and your money is safe on their platform, which is one of the reasons why, like our Caesars rating, our Pointsbet rating is great. There’s no need to worry about using Pointsbet, whether you’re a newcomer or an experienced sports betting player.

Rewards & Loyalty Program - Engaging system to keep you coming back

Much like our Sugarhouse review, in our Pointsbet review we make sure to leave no stone unturned. Pointsbet has a unique loyalty program that ensures that their users keep coming back for more. If you’re a keen player you have to make sure to get the most out of this system.

The ‘Points Betting’ system will reward players simply for placing bets. That’s right, you don’t even have to win. You will get one point for each bet that you place no matter what the outcome of the bet is. Once you have built up 250 points you get a bonus bet of $2.50.

It doesn’t end there either, the NFL bonus system is especially enticing. Their tier system has more value as you can see below:

  • 25 bets = $100 bonus
  • 50 bets = $200 bonus
  • 75 bets = $300 bonus
  • 100 bets = $500 bonus

Pointsbet are constantly updating their bonuses and promotions so it’s always best to keep an eye on their website for the latest offers that you can take advantage of.

Betting Markets

Pointsbet may not offer all the sports markets under the sun on their platform, but that’s actually a good thing. Since they have less variety on offer, there is a better focus on each one that they do offer. This means you get more detailed information which allows you to make a much better decision on your bet.

The sports markets on offer by Pointsbet are: NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, UFC, and Golf. These are most of the major sports betting markets that you need. Arguably the only market that could be added is horse racing. However, if your focus is on one of those major markets, Pointsbet is the place to be.

Odds

Pointsbet have the same standard betting odds as most other sportsbooks. However, one element that is hugely beneficial to their platform is that they regularly offer odds boosts. This can make a huge difference to your betting experience.

Live Betting & Streaming

Pointsbet offers live betting which allows you to bet in the moment and really get involved in the action. There’s no streaming unfortunately, but the rapid live updates can give you a good idea of what’s happening in the games.

Limits

There is a deposit and withdrawal limit of just $5, which is pretty lenient compared to the industry standard. There are also some limits on the payouts that each sport has to offer. This is important to know if you’re going to be using Pointsbet on a regular basis.

  • NFL – $500,000
  • NCAA – $250,000
  • Arena Football – $100,000
  • NHL – $250,000
  • NBA – same as NFL tiers.

Product Summary - An awesome online sportsbook

Overall the sports betting experience you get from Pointsbet is great. The overall pleasant and easy to use platform has really been a huge benefit to the Pointsbet rating. They offer a great welcome bonus, and they keep you coming back with constant new offers. Overall, Pointsbet is one of the best sports betting platforms on the market, and it’s definitely worth giving it a try.

    Bob N

They did quickly let me withdraw my $$

I made a bet with Pointsbet(Michigan), and after I won, they emailed me and said they have voided my bet, because they made a mistake on the odds. This was the day after the event. I told them how wrong it was, and if there was a problem they should of reached out before the event, but they stood behind some fine print in their terms and conditions. After some back and forth, they wouldn't budge. I've withdrawn my funds and am closing my account. I have the email from them available. I would stay away from Pointsbet, there are many reputable sportsbooks out there. STAY AWAY
