You certainly can. I got a free pack when I joined PICKEM via the relevant app. They’ve got two of those, available in the App Store and Google Play Store. You’ll also get your first Buyback at 100% of the Full Market Value or FMV of the card. This would usually be set at 90% of the FMV, so that’s a nice introduction to the site.

My tips for things to do at PICKEM before you sign up
I’ve found plenty of card rip sites and services online recently. I’ve looked for an
OpenThatPack bonus, too. And I’ve noticed that no two sites ever match in terms of features and highlights. That’s why I’ve pulled together some tips to help you settle in if you’re thinking about ripping card packs at PICKEM.
I know… they’re not the most engaging things to read. Yet they are important. And PICKEM has done a great job of adding information about card ripping to their established terms of use.
For example, you’ll see an important notice in bold at the top of that page. Underneath that, you’ll find a few paragraphs focusing on the card ripping aspect of PICKEM. There’s more info further down the page, but those paragraphs act as a fine introduction to card packs and ripping them to see what you’ll get. That’s where I read about the VIP points I’ll mention later on here. They’re easy to miss – and essential to read.

⚙️ Make Sure You Understand Pack Modes
You’ll see three of these at PICKEM:
These describe the chance you might have of pulling the best card you could hope for from a particular pack. This applies to all card packs, whether they’re about basketball or baseball or even Pokemon. The best bit here is that the price of a pack won’t change, no matter which pack mode you go for.
One final point – every PICKEM pack you’ll rip will have one card in it. That’s it. You never get any packs featuring multiple cards.

I liked this a lot. It means you won’t be stuck with a card you don’t want or already have. Whenever you open a pack, you’ll get an image of the card with the associated details on the screen. You’ll also see a Buyback button.
If you want to keep the card, you can store it in your inventory or ask them to send it to your address. This incurs shipping and handling charges. PICKEM lets you know what those will be when you request the service. Alternatively, you can sell it back to PICKEM using Buyback. This gives you 90% of the Full Market Value the moment you complete the sale.

After that, you can use the Buyback feature and get 90% of the FMV every subsequent time.
I always have questions about any card rip bonus offers. I did when I was looking for a

1. Will you become a VIP member at PICKEM?
It looks like it. When I read through the terms of use, I found details of their digital mystery packs right at the top. It looks like they’ve added this section to their previous terms of use that only applied to their sweepstakes casino.
It’s easy to miss, but it says you’ll receive some VIP points equal to the pack purchase price you pay. You can’t redeem those VIP points for anything. I also couldn’t find details of any VIP perks other than those relating to the sweepstakes casino part of PICKEM.
2. Do you need a PICKEM bonus code to claim the free pack?
No, I signed up without one, so you should find you can do the same. You can still check the banners appearing on this page, just in case something new comes up. I regularly update the details here to make sure you’ve always got the latest information about any potential promo codes or PICKEM offers.
It doesn’t appear so. I checked their current promotions page and only found details about the free pack. I also noted info about the separate offer for players signing up to use the PICKEM sweepstakes casino. If you’ve read the

4. Can you use the Buyback feature whenever you wish?
No. Once you’ve opened a pack, you’ve got three hours to figure out what you want to do. If you’d like to have the physical card mailed to you, you need to choose that option within three hours of opening the pack. If you don’t choose what to do inside the three-hour window, PICKEM will automatically give you 90% of FMV and take it back.
The exception to this is the 100% Buyback bonus that comes as part of your welcome bonus. This will trigger the first time you decide to sell a card back to PICKEM. After that, the rate reverts to 90%. The three-hour window still applies.
