How to use your Gold Coins
You’ll get 20,000
Modo.us Gold Coins
upon signing up, so you’ll have plenty to use when trying a few of the hundreds of casino-style games you’ll find there. The most important thing to remember when using Gold Coins is that they’re not going to lead you to any real prizes.
Even if a jackpot drops when you’re playing a slot, for example, you’ll receive that jackpot in Gold Coins. You can’t redeem Gold Coins for anything else, they always remain in your account at Modo.us. However, you can use them to play any of the
Modo.us slots
or other casino-style games you find there, so they’re ideal for testing titles and seeing which ones you enjoy the most.
Here are a few other facts about Gold Coins:
- You can make optional GC purchases if you wish.
- Some GC bundles come with free Sweeps Coins.
- You can pick up more GCs via the daily login bonus among other methods.
How to use your Sweeps Coins
You’ll get your first Sweeps Coin when you join Modo.us Casino. We’ve got more details about that along with other promotional features in our
Modo.us review
as well.
Playing with Sweeps Coins opens up the possibility that you might win some more. If you do, you can redeem those Sweeps Coins to get a real prize, also by following the on-site sweepstakes rules.

Do you qualify to make a Modo.us minimum SC redemption?
That’s a big question, and we have the answers for you here. Firstly, you need to be sure you’re able to sign up to play at Modo.us Casino. We’ll cover the requirements next.
1. Do you meet the minimum age requirement?
We’ve visited lots of sweepstakes casinos that require players to be aged at least 18 years (although there can be higher minimums in certain states). Modo.us has a higher minimum for everyone, asking all players to be a minimum of 21 years of age.
2. Are you in a legal US state?
You can only use Modo.us Casino if you live in the US, and only then if you live in one of 33 approved US states. That means residents of 17 states can’t play at the sweepstakes casinos.
We’ve got the current list of prohibited states here:
❌ Arizona
❌ California
❌ Louisiana
❌ Maryland
❌ Michigan
❌ Tennessee
❌ Washington
❌ West Virginia
❌ Connecticut
❌ Delaware
❌ Idaho
❌ Montana
❌ Nevada
❌ New York
❌ New Jersey
❌ Rhode Island
❌ Pennsylvania
3. Can you provide proof of ID and address?
It’s not enough to say you’re old enough to play at Modo.us or to say you’re in one of those accepted states. You’ll need to provide some official documents to confirm this:
- US passport or state-issued driver’s license
- Proof of address (a recent bank statement or bill)
- A selfie (to prove you’re the same person on the ID)

How to go through the Modo.us redemption process
Before you can redeem any Sweeps Coins you get through sweepstakes play, you’ll need to know exactly what you’re required to do. First up, make sure you collect as many Sweeps Coins as possible during your time at Modo.us Casino. You can do this in various ways, including via the welcome bonus, the mail-in request method, and perhaps via giveaways on their official social media pages.
Once you’ve got some to play with, you need to make sure you follow the process we’ve detailed below. Only then will you be able to look forward to the chance of potentially receiving some
Modo.us Casino real money
prizes.
1️⃣ Meet the Sweeps Coin playthrough requirement
This is the first step. Fortunately, Modo.us has opted for the lowest possible 1x playthrough. It means you must play with each SC once before it becomes redeemable.
2️⃣ Win enough Sweeps Coins to meet the minimum SC redemption threshold
You’ve got two options here:
- You need 20 Sweeps Coins in winnings to request a gift card.
- You need 50 Sweeps Coins in winnings to request a cash prize.
You can access the Modo.us website however you wish when you’re ready to play; you won’t need to download a
Modo.us Casino app
as it is also easily accessible on any mobile browser.
3️⃣ Complete the KYC checks
Sweepstakes casinos like Modo.us do Know Your Customer (KYC) checks wherein they must ask their users to complete them to confirm they’re able to play at Modo.us and redeem SC winnings to get hold of a real prize. If you’ve already provided evidence of your ID and address, along with a selfie, you should be fine here, although they may also request the final four digits of your SSN.

Make sure you understand the Modo.us redemption time
It differs depending on which method you choose when redeeming your Sweeps Coin winnings. Assuming you’ve completed all the KYC checks and you’ve reached the required SC minimum, here are the typical redemption times you can expect for your SC winnings:
- You’ll usually receive gift card requests in 1 to 2 days
- You’ll usually receive cash prizes within 1 to 7 days
A two-stage process
It’s important to understand that SC redemptions happen in two stages. Modo.us must first process your request, before it is passed onto the next stage. They aim to complete their side of processing inside 24 hours, although it can occasionally take longer. It’s based on the volume of requests and whether you’ve successfully completed the KYC checks beforehand.
Once complete, you should receive a gift card within a few minutes if you’ve opted for that method. The cash prize option depends on how you’ve requested it. Bank transfers can take up to seven days, for instance, depending on your bank’s processing time.
If you’ve gone for Visa or Mastercard, that could be quicker, taking a day or two to complete. Note that you can use a card option if you’ve previously purchased Gold Coins using a card (that’s optional, by the way).
Pros and cons of the Modo.us SC redemption feature
It’s good to know you’ll get your first Sweeps Coin as part of the Modo.us Casino signup package, along with 20,000 Gold Coins. You don’t need a promo code for that either. We’ll let you know if we find a special code for Modo.us, just as we have in the
BankRolla promo code
article. That’s not the only perk of the site either.
Pros and Cons
- Two ways to redeem SC winnings
- Low SC redemption thresholds
- Quick process
- Easy to follow
You can redeem eligible SCs to get real prizes with Modo.us Casino
If you play casino-style games at Modo.us using Sweeps Coins, you get the opportunity to try and win some. And if you win enough SCs, you can go on and redeem those to receive either a gift card or a cash prize, as we’ve detailed above.
If you’re new to Modo.us Casino, you can visit and check it out by following one of the links we’ve provided you with here. Remember that you can only redeem Sweeps Coins that you’ve won, and only those you’ve met the 1x playthrough for. Once you’ve met the KYC requirements, you’ll be able to redeem your SC winnings whenever you’ve got enough to do so.
