Introducing Interactive Brokers – A unique prediction market site that integrates contracts from Kalshi, CME Group and ForecastEx into one single platform. In this review of Interactive Brokers prediction markets, I will explore everything this innovative brand has to offer.
In addition to taking a deep dive into the Interactive Brokers prediction markets, I will also be checking out other important areas of their service, including their highly acclaimed mobile app. In other words, if you want a holistic look at exactly what’s on offer when you join Interactive Brokers, you won’t want to miss this.
Although Interactive Brokers have been in operation for almost 50 years, they have only been offering prediction market contracts since late 2024 and are not yet quite as famous as some other leading prediction market brands, such as Kalshi and Polymarket. With that in mind, I want to start this review by giving you a broad overview of Interactive Brokers:

If you have read my other prediction market guides, for example, my Prophet Exchange review, you’ll have a solid understanding of exactly how to trade at prediction market sites. But just in case you’re completely new to the concept, or want a quick refresher, here’s a guide to how Interactive Brokers prediction markets work.
Like all other legitimate prediction market sites, including the one featured in my ROLR review, Interactive Brokers is fully regulated by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). This means that Interactive Brokers is a trustworthy and legitimate prediction market site that complies with strict rules relating to important areas such as security, fairness and transparency. Because of this, you can place trades safely, in the knowledge that your data (both financial and personal) will be secure and all of your successful predictions will be paid out in full.
I was very impressed by the comprehensive security measures in place at Interactive Brokers. As you will discover later in this guide, there is a rigorous verification process you need to go through when you open your account. This is to ensure that you have the financial means to trade, as well as sufficient knowledge of how the markets work. When you also throw in some comprehensive training modules, advanced SSL encryption and extensive privacy information, it is clear to see that Interactive Brokers is a fair, secure and legitimate prediction market brand that takes the safety of its traders very seriously.
Prediction markets have been in the news a lot in recent times, and their availability is the subject of constant speculation. However, at the time of writing, prediction market sites ARE available throughout the United States. So, if you are at least 21 years of age and located within the US, you can open an account at Interactive Brokers today.
Whilst most prediction sites fill their homepages with popular markets, the Interactive Brokers homepage also features concise information on how to place trades, plus links to in-depth guides and video tutorials. This importantly sets the brand apart from its competitors and gives Interactive Brokers a very professional feel. When you go through to the market pages via the site’s main menu, you will be able to instantly view featured markets, plus a selection of ‘Closing Soon’ markets typically relating to financial markets.
Once you click through to a market you are interested in, you can view a graph showing recent price changes, plus (if applicable) links to useful research tools, including relevant news articles. There are also links to related markets, plus full details of the market rules relating to important factors such as the resolution date. Whilst there’s nothing especially innovative or exciting about the Interactive Brokers website, I was hugely impressed with how clearly everything was laid out. Regardless of which market you are looking at, you will find it incredibly easy to assess your options and decide which contracts to buy. Then, when you are ready to buy your contracts, you will be able to view potential payouts and other useful information to help you finalise your trade.
All in all, this is a very easy-to-use prediction market site with simple but clear trading pages and stacks of useful information. Most importantly, during my extensive review of the site, I found the loading times to be extremely quick, and I did not encounter a single glitch. The site may not have the funky features or bright colors you see at some other prediction market sites, but when it comes to viewing markets and placing trades, Interactive Brokers scores top marks.
By now, you are no doubt wondering exactly which prediction markets are available at Interactive Brokers. Unlike the majority of other prediction sites, Interactive Brokers does not allow you to trade on sporting events or cultural events. Obviously, this may come as a big disappointment to a lot of potential traders, but it is important to point out that Interactive Brokers is a renowned financial trading platform with decades of experience in this field. Because of this, they have decided to focus their prediction markets on finance, politics and other related topics.
Here’s a guide to the different prediction market types currently available at Interactive Brokers:

Like a lot of prediction market brands, including the one featured in my Sleeper Markets review, Interactive Brokers has a fully fledged mobile app that can be downloaded for free from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. To find the mobile app, simply head to your app store and search for IBKR.
I put the Interactive Brokers mobile app through its paces, and I’m happy to report that it features the same markets, features and menus as the full desktop site. As with the desktop site, I found the Interactive Brokers app to be high performing, easy to navigate, and entirely glitch-free. If you prefer, you can access the full Interactive Brokers website via a mobile browser and enjoy everything that the site has to offer, without needing to use any of your precious device storage space.
There are several different ways to fund your Interactive Brokers account, including ACH transfer, cryptocurrency (stablecoin only) and bank wire transfer. Requesting your deposit is a straightforward process – just hit the deposit page on the website, then select your preferred payment method and the amount you wish to add to your account. The main negative here is that unless you are depositing via ACH transfer, you may incur a small processing fee.
It is also worth noting that deposit processing times can vary, so make sure you double check this before making your deposit. Withdrawals can also take a few days to be processed, but the good news is that Interactive Brokers does not apply any direct charges to withdrawals. However, you may find that your bank applies a small admin charge to your withdrawals.
Overall, I was slightly underwhelmed by the payment platform at Interactive Brokers, as whilst it is very user-friendly, the processing times and list of available payment methods is not quite as impressive as what I have found at other prediction market sites.
The easiest way of getting assistance at Interactive Brokers is via the extensive FAQ section of the website. Here you will find articles covering common topics, including how the prediction markets work and how to place your trades. I found these articles to be excellently written and very easy to understand. Whatever your issue at Interactive Brokers, I can recommend making this FAQ section your starting point when looking for answers.
It is also a good idea to follow Interactive Brokers on their social media channels (Facebook, X, Instagram and TikTok) as these accounts often post useful market information, plus details of any new website features.
If you are unable to find the help that you need in the FAQs or on social media, you can contact Interactive Brokers via live chat or email. As you would expect, live chat offers the quickest response time, but having tried out both services, I can confidently say that you will get a professional response from a highly trained and knowledgeable agent regardless of which channel you use. It all adds up to a comprehensive and highly impressive customer support provision that will ensure you can swiftly find a solution to any queries you have when trading at Interactive Brokers.

I’ve reviewed a large number of prediction market sites in the last year and I can honestly say that Interactive Brokers is one of the most impressive I have encountered. It would be remiss of me not to mention a couple of minor negatives I came across during my review. The lack of sports and culture prediction markets is somewhat disappointing, but given Interactive Brokers’ extensive background in finance, I was not overly surprised or perturbed by this. Of course, if sports or cultural prediction markets are your thing, then you will have to look elsewhere, but pretty much every other common prediction market topic is covered at Interactive Brokers, so there is something here to appeal to the vast majority of traders. Similarly, a few more payment options would have been nice, but there are plenty of available methods, so you shouldn’t have too many problems in funding your account. Overall, this is an outstanding prediction market site that I can highly recommend joining today.
