Golden Hearts Games is different from many social casinos you’ll find online, and for that reason, we’ve created one of the most in-depth Golden Hearts Games reviews in the US to make sure you don’t miss any important details.

For many, the Golden Hearts Games online experience will be unique, with a generous bonus on offer, the ability to help a charity of your choice, and cash prizes to be won. It all might sound too good to be true, but we found it to be a perfectly legit and enjoyable experience.

Golden Hearts Games: Pros & Cons
Golden Hearts Games: Pros & Cons
  • Generous bonus
  • Help charity
  • Win cash prizes
  • Regular bingo games and slots
  • No app available

Bonus Offer - What do you get when you join Golden Hearts Games?

All of the other operators you’ll find in US social casino reviews have welcome bonuses to attract new customers, and that is the same here. Typically, new players will get a welcome bounty of virtual coins on sign-up, which is a set amount for anybody and everybody. Because Golden Hearts Games is different from most social casinos, it works a bit differently here too.

Golden Hearts Games works with charities, and the size of the donation made will define how many Golden Hearts (their virtual currency) the player gets. These virtual coins can be used to buy bingo cards and play slot games (more on that next) so, the more of them you have, the more you can play.

Where the whole bonus element comes in here is that the number of Golden Hearts credited to your account is doubled for that first donation, or, as experienced online casino players would understand it, a 100% deposit match with no Golden Hearts Games promo code necessary.

No wagering requirements

As well as giving to charity, the other benefit of this bonus is that there are no wagering requirements to meet. Normally, you would have to wager the bonus a certain number of times by a given deadline, but here there is none of that, and you can use your Golden Hearts whenever you want, as they do not expire unless you don’t log in for 6 months.

Usability, Look & Feel - how does Golden Hearts Games work?

While this is, on paper, a social casino, any Golden Hearts Games reviews in the US are likely to tell you that it works very differently from what you may have seen elsewhere. There is, of course, the charity aspect, but there are also some definite differences when it comes to the games on offer and how you get them. Whereas the majority of social casinos have the same selection of games as a real money casino, Golden Hearts Games focuses on bingo games played to a schedule and ‘QuickPlay Games’ which are slots, some table games, and scratchers.

Finding the schedule for the bingo games is simple, as is finding the slots and other games. They are not set out as they would be in a regular online casino, but that makes no difference because navigating and using the site is quite straightforward and intuitive, even if you’ve never seen it before.

Player account details are found top right, where you might expect them to be, and the color scheme is bright and cheerful but not too bright that you can’t look at it for a long time. There are links to the help/FAQ section at the bottom of the page, along with a link to get in contact with customer service. Overall, this is a well-designed site, but not the type of thing that typically wins awards.

The Golden Hearts Games app

There is some bad news and some good news for those that like to access these types of games using their phone or tablet. The bad news is that there doesn’t appear to be any sort of app available, but the good news is that the site looks and plays well on those devices anyway, so some would counter that no app is necessary, although this review would have liked to have seen one.

Payments – how do you donate to Golden Hearts Games online?

Before you can get started with any of that though, you’ll need to make a donation to any of the 1.5 million IRS approved charities in the US. You can do this through several means, all of which will look familiar to you. You can use American Express, Discover, MasterCard, and Visa credit and debit cards (if available) as well as Apple and Google Pay. This covers many of the conventional methods you would normally use for making a purchase, so it will be a good fit for most people. You can also contact them if you would like an extra method accepted, so expect this list to grow over time.

Unlike the situation we found in our BetRivers social casino review, where withdrawals were not possible – because there are cash prizes available here, you can also make withdrawals of any winnings by three different methods:

  • Check in the mail – can take up to 10 days, and withdrawals under $50.00 incur a $1.75 processing charge.
  • PayPal – much faster at 2 business days, and cheaper as well, as withdrawals over $25.00 are free, or $0.50 for any under that amount
  • Bank ACH – these withdrawals are also free for over $25.00 and $0.50 for smaller amounts, but take five business days, or, in practical terms, a week.

You can, of course, convert any of your real money winnings into Golden Hearts virtual coins and carry on playing instead.

Customer Service – getting help when you need it at Golden Hearts Games

Customer service is an important part of any social or sweepstake casino experience, and this is especially true when you have something as different as what is happening here at Golden Hearts Games. People will want to know how it works, as the whole concept can take some getting used to.

For that reason, we were very pleased to find an extensive FAQ section, which acts as a great knowledge base for those who want to check the right way to do things, and as part of the sign-up process, you are pretty much coached through what needs to happen.

For that reason, the fact that there is no live chat option or telephone support will not be a problem for most users but is bound to be a deal-breaker for some. However, even those people will be impressed by the contact form for email support. There are fields for just about everything, and explaining what your problem is looks to be very easy.

License & Security - is Golden Hearts Games legit?

Looking at all that is on offer here, the charitable donation, the generous bonus, and also the cash prizes that can be won, you might be forgiven for thinking this is all to be good to be true, especially if you happen to live in a state where real money games are still legally frowned upon.

The fact is that not only is Golden Hearts Games legal in the US, but it’s also the only place it is legal (and there is geolocation tracking in place to ensure this) and it is legal all over the US, with a few variations due to local age regulations. You’ll need to be over 18 to participate unless you are from Alabama and Nebraska in which case you need to be 19, or Mississippi and Puerto Rico where you’ll need to be at least 21.

The site is secure with the padlock symbol in the address bar indicating that SSL encryption is in place to make sure all transactions you make at Golden Hearts Games are secure and private.

Rewards & Loyalty Program – what are the other Golden Hearts Games online benefits?

Like many other online and social casinos, Golden Hearts Games has a reward program, but as you might expect after reading this far, it’s not quite like the one we found in our Fortune Coins social casino review. Rather than playing and gaining points, or logging in every day for increased rewards, the VIP program works via a monthly subscription donation.

It works on several levels, starting at $19.00 monthly for a bronze subscription, which gives you 10500 Golden Hearts and 32 cards in any bingo game you join. Subscriptions are upgradable at any point, so you can, if you wish, donate enough via a subscription to go straight to the top level, and not work yourself through the tiers as you would at many other establishments.

There are also occasional promotions like the free daily bonus where a spin of the wheel (which will look familiar from the ‘wheel of fortune’) can award you up to 2500 Golden Hearts, so there are plenty of benefits for those who wish to come back time after time.

Golden Hearts Games Bingo

Golden Hearts Games online bingo

Golden Hearts online bingo, like everything else at Golden Hearts Games, is slightly different from what you may have seen elsewhere. Instead of the normal cards you might get from a 75 or 90 ball game elsewhere, these are straight 75 ball games with 25 numbers on your card, in 5 rows (one for each letter in the word bingo) to make playing multiple cards easy.

There do not seem to be any prizes for getting lines or corners, but instead, the fixed cash prize is shared between those that get all 25 numbers.

The player must be present to win

With some other bingo games, you can just buy the cards and come back later to see what you have won, but that is not possible here. Players need to hit the ‘daub’ button at some point in the game for numbers to be crossed off automatically, and the game does not automatically claim a prize if you win.

If one of your cards fills up, you need to hit the ‘bingo’ button to claim the prize, which will then be shared with any other player who also has a full card, and hits the bingo button within 15 seconds of the first person. This gives players a ‘best of both worlds’ experience where they have the online experience but also the interactive experience of having to be there to claim a prize.

There are 144 games a day, with bigger prizes available for some evening games when participation will obviously increase. Subscription players will have cards in the games (but they can only win if they are present) and can buy extras with virtual coins if they wish.

Golden Hearts Games Social Casino

The games that make up the Golden Hearts online experience fall into two categories here. There are bingo games that run to a schedule and start every 10-15 minutes and have cash prizes. Each player can buy up to 100 cards per game using their Golden Heart virtual coins or are automatically entered a certain number of times as part of a subscription. This is the central hub of this site and we’ll cover it in more detail in a minute.

Next are the ‘QuickPlay’ games which are slots, table games, and scratchers which can be played whenever you want. There are old school slots available, but not any recognizable names; with the featured spots going to Pirate Looty and Monster Moolah. A paytable can be found at the top of every game, with some of them offering prizes of up to $2,500.

As discussed earlier, Golden Hearts coins are given via a Bonus Wheel each day as you log in. Monthly subscribers get Golden Hearts coins at a better going rate than ad-hoc donations. More coins can be gained by cashing in some of your cash winnings to get more coins.

Product Summary & Conclusion

The fact that this is such a different offering from other social casinos, (or even other sites where prizes are won for making charity donations) means it’s hard to stand it up against anything else and say it’s better or worse than what you might find elsewhere.

Instead, we would say that the Golden Hearts Games online experience is a very good one, in what certainly seems to be a good cause, with plenty of benefits for those that take part. Overall, well worth a look, especially if you are bored with what is on offer at regular social casinos.

Overall Conclusion – a positive verdict from this Golden Hearts Games review

All in all, this adds up to a very positive experience and very high Golden Hearts Games ratings in the US for this operation. The whole concept is one that will appeal to many people, with a charity donation (which they tell you can be tax-deductible on their Golden Games online help page) allowing you to play bingo and casino games, with a chance of winning a cash prize.

Their whole operation is well run, and as it is playable from pretty much anywhere in the US, so all of the boxes seem to be ticked here, and we recommend you take a look for yourself and see if it is right for you.

User Reviews for Golden Hearts Games

3/5 – 2 User Reviews
  1. Legit, fun and honest owners here

First of all this site is not a gimmick. The owners of Golden Hearts Games owned another site called Gamesville for 25 years. I joined Gamesville in 1996 and it was FREE to play! I believe the owners are/were Florida residents and this is why we see a lot of Florida winners ( Please…if I have this last part wrong do let me know!)

The games might have started at $1 at Gamesville but every time there was no winner for a game it went up another $1 until it had a winner. Over the many years I received my winnings via check sent snail mail from the post office. We had no internet payments back then.

We could not ask for more honest and dependable owners on Golden Heart Games. I have received in my Paypal payments that total almost $400 and still have $157 I have not cashed out yet, Every single time I requested a payout it was done within 1 to 2 days as they stated it will be done. Anytime I needed to contact Golden help desk I always receive a reply within just days. Cannot ask for better service.

Not everyone is crooked in today’s world. I respect the owners for what they are doing to help the the non profits!

I am not, nor have I ever been, in any way related to anyone on GHG nor was I paid to make this review.

One negative and 1 wish We cannot pay for the monthly subscription via Paypal. Would like to see how many players are playing each game.
