GOATbox is a popular mystery box site where you can buy and open boxes to collect different items. To see its offerings, I signed up, claimed the new collector bonuses, and bought a few sample mystery boxes.
My GOATbox review started with rewarding sign-up bonuses, including nine free boxes, which I received immediately after registering. As for the main experience, the site features mystery boxes in most traditional categories, spicing up the box-opening experience. Plus, there are also other promotions for both new and existing collectors. Here’s my full review of GOATbox.

Interestingly, GOATbox lets you start opening free mystery boxes before even buying your first. GOATbox starts new collectors off with nine complimentary mystery boxes they can open after signing up. This bonus doesn’t require a promo code; simply open the website, register for GOATbox, and click the “Claim Now” button on the pop-up banner advertising the welcome offer.
I received nine mystery boxes after registering, and I unboxed them immediately. Eight of the nine mystery boxes contained GOATbox vouchers, and the last one contained a Blot and Glow Blotting Paper Refill. I could ship these items to my physical location, but I chose to exchange them for GOATbox credits and try other mystery boxes.
Finally, GOATbox offers up to 50% bonus credits when you buy GOATbox credits for the first time. You can then use your GOATbox credits to purchase and open more mystery boxes on the site. Here are the bonus credit packages I found on GOATbox as part of the welcome offer for new collectors:
| Credits | Amount |
|---|---|
| 27.50 credits (10% bonus) | $24.99 |
| 48 credits (20% bonus) | $39.99 |
| 97.50 credits (30% bonus) | $74.99 |
| 140 credits (40% bonus) | $99.99 |
| 375 credits (50% bonus) | $249.99 |
Compared to other mystery box sites, GOATbox’s welcome offer is very competitive. In my BigBux review, for example, I recall the welcome offer was only three free boxes, and new collectors only get up to a 20% bonus on their first deposit, not 50%. Neither of GOATbox’s welcome offers require a promo code; simply register, complete the requirements, and you’re in business.
GOATbox has a simple interface. Logging into the mystery box site reveals a dashboard that helps you discover and buy trending boxes. The site sorts mystery boxes by category: Top Brands, Star Wars, Sneakers, Jewelry, and many more. GOATbox also features top-selling mystery boxes in the lobby, which you can buy and unbox with your GOATbox credits.
The box opening experience on GOATbox is a bit unique, as the site lets you unbox up to nine of the same box at once. You can click the plus icons all around a box you’re opening to add extra boxes to unbox at once. Finally, GOATbox will calculate and display the total and generate a button to open all the boxes at once.
GOATbox displays your credit balance in the top right, just beside the account options represented by an egghead. There’s also a hamburger menu beside the GOATbox logo on the left sidebar, which hides several links to crucial sections of the site. Buying and opening mystery boxes on GOATbox definitely took a bit of getting used to, but the learning curve is anything but steep.
GOATbox doesn’t offer a mobile app for collectors on the go, but that didn’t matter much for this review, as the website works perfectly on mobile devices. From signing up to buying and opening mystery boxes, the entire experience of using GOATbox on mobile was virtually identical to the desktop experience. Not having an app drops my GOATbox ratings by a few points, but it’s nothing scandalous.
At GOATbox, you purchase mystery boxes using the site’s in-house currency, GOATbox credits. You can get them through bonuses or by purchasing from the Credit Shop. Remember the vouchers I unboxed from the free mystery boxes I received after signing up? I sold those for GOATbox credits, which I used to purchase other mystery boxes.
The primary method of getting GOATbox credits is through the Credit Shop, which lists various credit packages. Typically, you get as many GOATbox credits as the dollar amount you’re paying, so $50 would get you 50 GOATbox credits. The only exception is for special promotions, such as the 50% GOATbox bonus credits that come with your first purchase on the site.
GOATbox accepts payments for credit packages via debit and credit cards, Google Pay, Apple Pay, and multiple cryptocurrencies. You can’t sell items for real money and withdraw funds from GOATbox. Rather, you can either convert items you’ve collected from mystery boxes for GOATbox credits or request a physical shipment to your location, subject to the site’s terms.

During my GOATbox review, I found customer support only via email, accessible by clicking the support link in the left sidebar. The link automatically opens your device’s default email app, where you can compose an email detailing any issues you’re experiencing with the site.
GOATbox should at least provide some guidance for collectors seeking customer support, as I noted in my Packz.io review. Rather than just giving you an email, Packz.io has a form that lets you select your problem category when creating a support ticket.
On the bright side, I received a swift response from GOATbox’s customer support during my testing. However, I couldn’t confirm if it truly supports 24/7 support or if I was just in the right place at the right time.
The only alternative to the site’s email support is the FAQ page, which features a handful of commonly asked questions and answers from other collectors.

GOATbox describes itself as an entertainment-based e-commerce site and mystery shopping service operated by Secret Services Limited. It’s one of many similar sites in the US where collectors can sign up to buy mystery boxes and build a collection of items pulled from them.
The site is available in most of the US, excluding Nevada, Montana, and Washington. You’ll likely see a message restricting your access to the site if you’re in an ineligible region. That way, you’ll know if you’re eligible to register for GOATbox and start buying mystery boxes.
Here are a few extra promotions I found during my GOATbox review for existing collectors:
GOATbox activates a daily streak promotion once you buy the site’s credits for the first time. As its name implies, you get a new bonus for each day you log in to the mystery box site. You can collect different rewards through GOATbox’s daily streak bonus, including free items, mystery boxes, or experience points (XP) for the site’s loyalty program.
Like the Loyalty Club I discussed in my Card Crush review, GOATbox has a built-in loyalty program. All new collectors are automatically added to it when they sign up for the site. Upon completing your registration, the site places you on Level 1, which has no minimum XP requirement. As you accumulate the required experience points (XP) for the next level, GOATbox will progress you automatically, activating associated benefits appropriately.
The requirements and perks of each level are currently unavailable on GOATbox, as the loyalty program is still tagged “Coming Soon” on the site.
GOATbox hints at some of the perks of reaching higher levels in the loyalty program, including a daily free box bonus tied to specific levels. However, with a massive “Coming Soon” tag still on the loyalty program banner, one thing is clear: work on the loyalty program is ongoing.
GOATbox’s promotions page looks unfinished, so you may see new bonuses pop up on the site over time. I recommend keeping an eye on the promotions page to stay on top of the site’s bonuses as they drop.
GOATbox is one of the more popular mystery box sites for good reasons. For starters, you get two welcome bonuses, including nine free mystery boxes you can open as soon as you finish signing up on the site. Then there’s another GOATbox credits bonus you receive when you buy credits for the first time. The promotions don’t end with these welcome offers, as there’s an equally competitive selection of bonuses for existing collectors.
As for the downsides, GOATbox’s customer service isn’t all that, and browsing the site could be challenging for new collectors. However, if those don’t bother you much, you can use the banners on this page to register for GOATbox and start opening mystery boxes immediately. Remember, it gives you nine mystery boxes before you even buy credits to get more boxes.
There are numerous mystery boxes you can buy and open as soon as you sign up for GOATbox. By category, the site features Apple boxes, TCG booster packs, PC-building boxes, fandom boxes, gaming boxes, and Star Wars boxes, among others.
Yes, new collectors on GOATbox automatically get nine mystery boxes, which they can choose to open instantly. You can also trade the items for GOATbox credits or have it shipped, subject to the site’s terms.
For now, you can’t sell your pulled items at GOATbox. The site only lets you exchange them for GOATbox credits, which you can use to get other mystery boxes. You can also request GOATbox to send the item to your location, subject to the site’s shipping terms and conditions.
GOATbox doesn’t have a “shipping charge,” but collectors who wish to ship items they unboxed will have to pay all shipping fees and customs duties on those items. GOATbox doesn’t take a cut, but you cover the costs of bringing the items to your location.
