One of the first things you’ll encounter on your journey at any online casino or sportsbook is the minimum deposit and the minimum bet. This can vary quite a lot between different providers, with some allowing bets of just a few cents.
In this article, we’ll tell you all about the FanDuel minimum bet, and everything else you need to know before you sign up and start betting. As FanDuel offers sports, casino and fantasy betting options, we’ll delve into each of these and also let you know exactly how you can get started for a small budget.
While FanDuel has been around since 2009, it didn’t launch in the United States until 2019, so it could be considered to be one of the new betting sites out there. They operate in a number of states, and not only are they a great sportsbook provider, but they also have a fantasy sports and a casino offering. But what is FanDuel minimum bet, and how does it measure up to the likes of the Bet365 minimum bet?
We looked into the FanDuel minimum bet thoroughly, and the good news is that there isn’t one! Well, at least there isn’t one specific minimum bet that applies to all sports and markets. You’ll need to open up your FanDuel account, explore the selection, and then start adding to your betslip. At this point, if you’re betting less than the minimum, it will be flagged to you.
In general, the minimum bet depends on the type of bet you’re placing, rather than the odds (which can sometimes determine the maximum win and therefore the maximum bet). For example, a single bet might have a minimum of 20c, but a parlay on the same event might have a minimum of just 5c.
To test out the minimum bet amounts, we had a go at betting on some of the available markets. We found that the minimum bet for most of the available markets at the moment was 9c. This is really low, which means that even if you’re playing with a small budget, you’re certain to be able to have a great time, as you can keep betting on all sorts of different markets. There’s a great range of markets on offer across all sorts of different sports, like NFL, tennis, baseball, soccer and lots more, so plenty of variety for you to try out.
The fantasy sports element of FanDuel works in the same way when it comes to minimum bets. There’s not necessarily a minimum amount to stick to, but if there is one for your specific sport, it will be flagged to you.
As is the case with all online casino games, the limits here depend on the game. This is determined by factors like the number of paylines and the coin value. You can play some games for as little as 1c to 10c per spin, going up to $100 or more. The good news here is that there’s no overall minimum bet amount per spin, as you might see at other online casinos. For example, the BetMGM minimum bet is 50c per spin of any slot.
Even though you don’t have to bet a specific amount, you do need to deposit a minimum amount into your account before you can get going. Luckily, this is pretty low, at just $10, no matter what your payment method is. Of course, if you want to deposit more, that’s no problem, and we would advise you do so especially if you want to maximize on the welcome offer, or if you’re planning on betting for higher amounts.
Many other online sportsbooks have a set minimum amount for every sport, for example, the Draftkings minimum bet is 10c, and Bet365 is similar. Overall, the FanDuel sportsbook minimum bet has the advantage as it’s not set, so you can find some markets where it’s very low.
Similarly, for the casino section, the minimum is set depending on the slot game, rather than for the entire website. The majority of other online casinos are similar enough, for example, the Caesars minimum bet is also determined at the slot game level.
Overall, there isn’t necessarily a minimum bet on FanDuel, as it is determined individually for each market, and you’ll find this out when you go to add to your betslip. However, this doesn’t mean that you’re in for any nasty surprises. While researching for this article, we had a thorough look through the markets and we found out that in general, the FanDuel minimum bet was just 9c for single bets.
As is the case with any online sportsbook, the FanDuel sportsbook minimum bet will depend on the sport and the market you choose. If you’re interested in knowing more, we go into all of the details when you read our full review.
