Collectibles.com is a dual-function site – one the one hand, you can use it to organize your collectibles and get their estimated values, but it also has the cool Repackz mystery box feature featuring sports and pokemon cards.
In this Collectibles.com review, I am concentrating on the Repackz aspect of the site and looking at the different types of packs you can buy. If you read on, I’ll explore important features about this site such as its transparency and security, the mystery boxes you can rip, and any promotions I find.
First up, like I did in my Rips by Triumph review, I wanted to establish the legitimacy of this site and make sure that I was getting a fair deal. With that in mind, I looked at features like the pack ripping transparency, underlying processes, and security of the website.
I was pretty impressed with the transparency of Collectibles.com for the Repackz feature. If you click on a single pack type, you get a full breakdown of the different estimated price tiers of trading cards that you can pull and their percentage chances. On top of that, you get an estimated value of the pack, and the site offers a section dedicated to explaining how it gets its estimated values for the trading cards. I never felt like anything was unknown, or like I wasn’t fully aware of the potential contents of the mystery boxes/packs.
For security, the site has SSL encryption and HTTPS connectivity, and at the time of creating this Collectibles.com review, there was an active SSL certificate provided by Google Trust Services. To complete the account signup I also had to go through several verification processes, and it felt like a robust system. In terms of documentation, I was happy to find a heap of different guides and articles relating to privacy, how the site works, and your rites while using it.
I found the Collectibles.com site to be pretty self-explanatory, if not a little confusing sometimes, so I didn’t really need to use the support. However, I tested it either way, and there is a live chat option, but this starts you off with an AI assistant. I found this incredibly useful, and it was able to explain most of the core processes of how the Repackz system works. You can request to speak to someone too though, and there is also email support which will give slower response times. As a first-time user, you might also consider checking out the help center as this has a heap of useful guides and information.
Collectibles.com accepts both crypto and fiat payment methods for USDC or the chosen international currency of your choice. What payment methods you can see will depend on your location, but I was able to see crypto wallets for USDC, ACH Transfers, push-to-card, and a few other options. From my experiences, it’s easy to credit your account, and the withdrawal process is smooth too for the buybacks or your account balance. In terms of shipping the physical cards, this will really depend on your location.
While I was creating my Courtyard.io free pack review, I looked at the usability of the site, so I did the same for Collectibles.com. Overall, the website is clean and modern, but some might find the layout a little confusing. There are downloadable mobile apps too which I found to work great.
The Collectibles.com desktop website has a stylish, clean, and modern design. It has a simple white and black color scheme, and I like that they’ve placed an emphasis on the packs and trading cards as these are generally the only places where other colors appear. I do think the homepage is a little cluttered though, and I think that it’s meant to emulate the same style as the X homepage as in the middle you have a post feed showing collections and recent acquisitions from other customers.
It’s fine, but I don’t personally like the layout of the homepage. The Repackz tab, however, looks great. I think they’ve done a great job of simplifying this section of the site and making it easy to understand. From a technical perspective too, the site works fine – it has fast page speeds, the scans for the different trading cards are of decent quality, and I didn’t find any errors or missing content.
For mobile accessibility, I found two mobile apps – one for Android and the other for iOS. These are primarily for managing your collectibles collection and scanning items to get a valuation, BUT, you can also access the Repackz feature from the apps. The Google Play Store version has a 4.5 star rating from 13,000+ reviews, while the App Store version has a 4.6 star rating from 400+ reviews.
I downloaded and installed the Android version and was impressed with how it works. I think the X style layout of the homepage actually works better on the app as it is easier to navigate with touchscreen controls. I also enjoyed fast loading times for the different pages, and found it easy to manage my account and rip packs.
I have produced a separate Collectibles.com promo code review where I discuss the promotional features in more detail, but for this guide, I at least wanted to go over the different things I found, which included a guaranteed 100% first-pack buy back offer, plus a cool feature where you can potentially unlock a risk-free first pack.
Collectibles.com does have a couple of features for new customers that I found really interesting. First, on selected packs, there is the option for a 100% first-pack buyback guarantee. This gives you a nice introduction to the site and means you won’t lose any money on your first Repackz purchase. You can click to apply it, and they will give you a 100% buyback option if you don’t like what you got.
Alternatively, as part of the reward system, new customers can potentially get either a $25 or $50 risk-free repack. All you need to do is complete a few different tasks which include:
Add a new item to your personal collection.
Leave a comment on a post.
Leave a reaction on a post.
This is a one-off thing, but I think it’s a pretty good deal as the things you have to do really are quite easy.
Collectibles.com doesn’t have many other promotional features similar to what I found in my ClutchPacks promo code review, but it does have a referral scheme, and a reward system.
The referral scheme gives you the chance to invite other customers and potentially get a bonus, while the rewards system lets you build up your XP and XPR. XP is just for your own personal collection and it doesn’t translate to any purchases or benefits – it’s more of a showcase thing. However, XPR can potentially be used to purchase Repackz.
The Repackz feature at Collectibles.com is what I have been concentrating on in this review, and it’s essentially a type of mystery box system. The site offers multiple different types of Repacks – each one contains one physical trading card that is randomly pulled from a pre-set prize pool. You can then either take the 90% buyback option if you don’t want it, or you can have it shipped to your address. At the time of writing this Collectibles.com review, I found the following types of Repackz:
I was impressed with the variety of the sports trading cards, and they come from Tops and Panini and include some awesome pulls of superstars like Michael Jordan, Lionel Messi, Tom Brady, and Josh Allen. Each card has been graded by the PSA and comes in a proper protective case with the PSA grading on, and I like that they show you an actual scan of the card on the pack contents page.
Generally, the cheapest pack prices are $25, and these have the lowest percentage chance of the top hits, however, there are packs of $250 upwards which is where you start getting better percentage chances at the bigger pulls. The pokemon mystery box selection is also brilliant, and I saw cards from multiple different series and eras, including the original 1999 series.
I had a lot of fun creating my Collectibles.com review, and I definitely think it is one of the more established sites of its kind. You have the whole part of the site where you can upload and display your own collections which is fun in itself. However, what I really liked was the Repackz mystery box section. I think it has an awesome range of packs you can buy, and I was especially interested in the NBA trading cards.
The transparency is great, you get a full breakdown of each pack’s potential contents, and I was pleased with the purchasing, shipping, and buyback processes. If you fancy trying it out for yourself and either showing off your collectables or buying some Repackz, all you need to do is click the banners we have here and get signed up to Collectibles.com today.
It is a site dedicated to collectibles like trading cards, Funko Pops, pins, and other cool items. You can show off your collections here to others, and you can also purchase mystery boxes which are called Repackz. These contain a random item such as an NBA trading card which you can either sell back to Collectibles.com, or have shipped to your home address to add to your collection.
You purchase mystery boxes which are called Repackz and each one contains a random item from a pre-select pool of potential cards. Each tier of rarity of card or quality has a different percentage chance of being pulled. You can then either take the buyback option if you don’t like the contents of your pack, or you can have the physical card shipped to your address.
You can scan your collectible items such as trading cards and get an estimated valuation, but there is also the Repackz side of the site. This is where you can purchase mystery boxes for things like NBA trading cards and Pokemon trading cards.
Yes. I was confident with the transparency of the site and the pack opening process. You can clearly see the contents of the packs, and nothing is hidden. Valuations are based on a stringent criteria and these mystery box sites are perfectly legal.
