With all the buzz around pack-ripping platforms, I thought I’d try them out myself, and one of the first ones I came across was ClutchPacks. I’ve done as much research as I can, so this ClutchPacks review is 100% experience-based.
But one thing you have to keep in mind from the start is that this platform is designed only for people within the United States. Secondly, you will find it more appealing if you are into collectibles. If you’re just as curious as me, let’s go over everything from how to join to the benefits you can get.
I had heard so much about ClutchPacks mystery boxes, so I was hoping that I could get one for free when I registered. Unfortunately, I did not find any sign up offer. As such, there was no way I could experience what it was like to rip packs before I made my first deposit. It appears that the owners, Big Time Tech Limited, deliberately created clutch packs to be a place for collectors.
What you’re supposed to do as a user is just register and start opening the different mystery boxes that you can afford. In the typical fashion of all loot boxes, you will not have an idea of what is contained within a pack until you have finally opened it. With no promotion in sight, what you can do is take advantage of these NFT-tied cards and see if you can sell or ship them. I tried to see if there were any mini games or other things that I could do to just get some extra benefits, but none of those were available either.
How a site is designed determines whether you enjoy using it or move on to a different platform. With my Courtyard io review, I didn’t focus much on the desktop version, so I started there this time. The same here is blue-black, so it is perfect if you like dark mode when you’re using your website.
Every icon is also properly arranged in a way that you can easily identify where they are without thinking too hard about it. Just to give a brief description, the top right corner is where you find your profile and the option to rip packs. You will also be able to contact support from there and check out the hall of fame.
Moving on to the center, you will find different packs that you can choose from. As usual, you will see the name of the pack and the price, ensuring you can choose which one you feel is affordable. Packs also come in different categories; one of the most famous you will find there is the Pokémon group. If you’re somebody who enjoys the world of football, then you can benefit from the sports parks too.
I went towards the footer, where I could also see details about the owners and some frequently asked questions. Because they don’t have any promotions, you will not have to deal with occasional pop-ups prompting you to take action. That way, you can focus on purchasing packs, ripping them, selling them, or having them delivered.
When I was researching for my PackDraw review, I found some unverified details about an app being available, and the same happened with ClutchPacks. The many APKs available online were obviously fake because the platform is web-based only. That was not even a bad thing that they don’t have an app, because many of the top brands that I have also tested do not have one.
For context, they created their websites with HTML5, so it adjusts nicely to every screen size. To be double-sure, I tested it on a budget Android device with this smaller screen and also on the iPhone 7 Pro Max. On both interfaces, I could access every feature and use every option as long as my internet was stable. The only thing I had to do was update my Chrome browser on Android because it was outdated. Once that was settled, using the site was fluid with an average response time of 2 seconds whenever I clicked on anything.
I know that a downloadable application is always very convenient because you don’t have to open a browser every time. There is a way to get around that. Just open the website, click on the three dots, and find the option to share. From there, you’ll be able to create a shortcut to your home screen that you can easily tap whenever you want to access the platform. Once in a while, you will need to refresh this widget, but it saves you the stress of first opening your browser, then finding the website.
Since there isn’t a ClutchPacks promo code, let’s focus on what is available: the collectibles. Compared to other competitors, I did not find as many interesting packs as I would have loved. When you open the “Rip a Pack” section of the website, you will not miss the Pokémon category, because it is the first thing that appears. In fact, I have found that it is one of the most popular options you’ll find on most of the top card ripping sites.
Anime fans will also like the One Piece collection, which seems to have cards with similar prices to Pokémon’s. The other two groups are soccer and, finally, multisports. In this soccer category, I found some cards that are actually for basketball, and I’m not sure why they are not in a category of their own. At this point, you can easily select a card from any of the series and see what you’ve got. If the outcome is a collectible that you truly like, you can then keep it, or you can have the platform recall it by selling it back to them.
Unlike when you have to deposit and withdraw on a platform like DraftKings Casino Ohio, ClutchParks wants nothing to do with handling your payments. They outsource all payment processing to a third-party service. Which means that they have no hand in whatever fees that you end up paying when you’re making your purchases. At the same time, they are very strict with their anti-money laundering compliance. Once you purchase a pack, you cannot request a refund. Here is a list of all the different payment methods that I was able to use:
On days when I did not want to stress, I could easily click the Google Pay or Apple Pay option. It automatically charges me, and I would go ahead to make whatever purchases I wanted on the site.
As an America-focused platform, the cards that I could use included American Express, MasterCard, Discover, and Visa. However, I noticed that the payment processor charged a tiny fee for transactions done with cards.
They allow crypto payments through an on-site or an external wallet, but I didn’t see so many options. What I do know is that it is possible to make a deposit using USDC on the platform.
With these many options for deposits, you would probably assume that there are just as many for withdrawals. What I found instead is that I could only cash out using USDC or a direct bank transfer. On the bright side, they take no more than 24 hours to process payments, and if I have chosen USDC, I can expect to get my funds within minutes. Bank transfers take more time but should not exceed five to seven days.
Most of the platforms where you can buy and open mystery boxes have three support options. The first one is usually the FAQ page, and I like that on ClutchPacks, I could easily see it from the moment I visited the site for the first time. It doesn’t have too many questions and answers, but at least it covers the basics, like features and payment issues.
The most useful option on the site, however, is the live chat. When I contacted them for the first time, I got an agent in exactly 5 minutes. Subsequently, I got faster replies, so I understood that the first delay was a result of high traffic. I should also add that the agents know what they are doing because they answer questions thoroughly.
Finally, I used the email that I found on the website, and somebody replied to me in about 20 minutes, which was surprisingly quick. I think they have the right infrastructure when it comes to customer support. If they include a phone line, it will be a good addition, but it is not a necessity because the existing options work perfectly.
If you are wondering, “Is ClutchPacks legit? ”I’ll have you know that you’re not the only one who has concerns around their safety when it comes to using platforms like this. I did some research on the parent company, and I found out that they are licensed and registered under the Maltese company law.
Then I went through the terms of service, where they share information about their data privacy policy. The platform currently uses SSL encryption to secure all data that you provide during KYC and also when you register. Still, what convinced me first about their little Missy is how they refuse to handle purchase payments by themselves.
So far, I do not see any reason not to trust ClutchPacks as a place to engage in pack-ripping activities. The only thing that bothers me is the lack of promotions or perks to keep my balance loaded when I am low on disposable cash. Mobile usability is great, customer support is decent, and I have not come across any public complaints about the platform. This is my personal experience at the end of the day, and you might have a completely different opinion when you check them out. Click on any of the banners on display right now to sign up.
The best card ripping platforms for you depend on what you expect when it comes to their services and features. We can see that ClutchPacks is one of those that have a high trust score among users. If your focus is more on getting collectibles rather than promotions, then you will find the platform useful.
Yes, in the case of a dent or any issues that make the product not look as it should, you have every right to return it to the physical address provided by the platform. However, immediately after the item is delivered, you should contact customer support to inform them and send it back within 24 hours.
If, after opening a pack, you do not like what it contains, you have the option of reselling it to a different user within the platform or having them take it back and refund you. When you have already shipped an item, you can also decide to sell it physically because then it is in your position, and a platform does not influence what you do with it.
