Sweepstakes poker sites are rare, so I was looking forward to carrying out this ClubGG review. While it was a fun and pleasurable experience, there are some areas that could do with improvement.
Normally I would expect to see a bonus, and this put a slight dent in my ClubGG ratings, but the site and the app are both excellent examples of how to run a poker site. There are also plenty of benefits for subscribers, and I’ll be covering all of these so you’ll know if ClubGG is right for you.

To start with the one thing that put the biggest dent in my ClubGG ratings for the USA – the ClubGG bonus – or to be more exact the lack of one. I’ve kind of got used to seeing a ClubGG no deposit bonus offer from many sweepstakes sites, and when I didn’t see one here I was surprised and I’ll even admit to being a little disappointed. That doesn’t mean there isn’t anything for free when you complete the ClubGG register process, as you have access to use the software to play socially for free with your friends.
You won’t be able to play in the onsite tournaments this way, this will just be you and your friends playing in a club you created or joined. The club creator has complete autonomy over the gameplay factors, and you can issue as many chips as you want to play with. This customizable experience is excellently presented and definitely one of the highlights of my ClubGG bonus review.
One of the reasons for my high ratings was the great overall usability of ClubGG social casino. Regardless of how you want to play, there is an app to download, and the Windows 10 version loaded without problems, but you’ll have to check if you have another operating system on your laptop. Wherever you want to go, you’ll have it all set out for you on the top and bottom menus, from buying a subscription, checking on your account or looking for help.
As a relatively new sweeps casinos, chances are you’ll love the interface as much as I did. It’s ebay to customize your club to your liking or chane the settings of your games. Furthermore there were no loading glitches or lagging and everything ran smoothly. As I said earlier – a great example of how you’re supposed to do it.
This same level of excellence is continued over on the app, which you can get for both Android and Apple devices by downloading it from the approved app stores. I downloaded the Android app with no problems and my road test on my Samsung was problem free, meaning you can do everything here you might do on your laptop. The only difference is the top menu becoming a bottom menu for the smaller screen, which didn’t cause me too many problems though.
You won’t be depositing or withdrawing here, as this is a social casino without real money. The platform allows you to play for free by giving you free play chips at the start of each game. However, you can also purchase a subscription based membership if you choose. These come in two types Standard and Platinum and come with extra benefits such as tournament entries and access to training courses as well as discounts on merchandise.
The standard subscription is $9.99 per month, and the Platinum Membership will set you back $49.99, all payable in advance. Payments can be made by the method you have attached to your wallet, so mine went out via Google Pay. This process is fast and convenient, so I had no worries about ClubGG being reliable when it came to transactions.

I had no problems when using ClubGG and neither should you as the platform runs smoothly and is easy-to-navigate. If you do run into problems, however, you’d want fast answers, which is why I checked out what was available.
There is currently no live chat, but the ticket I opened was answered quickly by a customer support agent. Although I did need to contact them again to clarify the answer they gave me. There is also a help center, which looks quite expansive but many of the entries were blank which was not very helpful. This is another area where ClubGG are just missing a trick or two.

The short answer here is yes, but if you want the longer one, it starts with the fact that they are part of GGPoker, who have a great reputation, and have the size and resources to make ClubGG secure and safe. Don’t be fazed by the fact you don’t see a license, because as a sweepstakes site ClubGG doesn’t need one. It’s not a case of anything goes, though, as you’ll need to be over 18 and pass KYC before joining the site.
You can access ClubGG from most states, but local legislation means that players in Georgia, Hawaii, Minnesota, Mississippi, Montana, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, and Washington will need to look elsewhere.
Before I finish this ClubGG review, I need to go over the additional benefits of playing at ClubGG, although most are for subscribers. While you can play all games on the platform for free, opting to purchase a membership subscription opens up a host of other benefits for you to take advantage. I’ve briefly outlined these below:
First up there’s GGClass, which is part of the Platinum Membership for $49.99 and could help you polish your game. In layman’s terms, it’s ‘poker school’ and consists of courses and classes to improve your skills and strategy.
Not quite what I was expecting but if you are on the hunt for ClubGG merchandise and apparel, this is for you. As a subscriber, you’ll get 20% off of a purchase here.
this one is exclusive to Platinum members, you’ll get a reward based on your previous purchases. In short, the longer you have been subscribed for the more you’ll get.
getting to the final stage can take some gameplay, and if you fall at the final hurdle you’ll get a second chance, but only if you are a platinum subscriber.
If you want a shortcut to the final stages, you can get 10 final stage tickets if you refer friends. You have your own referral code, and anyone joining using it, and buying a Platinum subscription will get you this reward. Your referee will get the same reward as well.
It’s always hard to know if you can trust a site before joining, but if you read our ClubGG reviews, you’ll see straight away that there is nothing odd here and it’s 100% legit. This is part of the massive GG Poker empire, so it’s backed by a big name with the resources to keep you safe.
ClubGG is free to play, and you can set up your own poker club to play socially with friends from day one. As you’ll see in my ClubGG review, you can also mail in a request for free tournaments entries too.
Yes, in fact there is an app available for Windows 10, as well as Android and iOS devices, so you can play when and where you want provided you are not physically in a restricted territory.
I really enjoyed my experience at ClubGG, especially using the software to set up my own poker club. In fact from the moment I hit the ClubGG login screen I’ve been so impressed with how easy it was to use. Extra features such as the GGClass clearly show this sweepstakes poker site at its best. And, while you get to play for free, you still have the option to purchase a membership subscription which grants you access to tournament play and the chance to redeem your winnings for prizes.
Sure, the lack of an official bonus is a bit of a letdown and a few free tournament entries would have been a great first here. Even a free trial or discount on the first month of a membership subscription would work too. However, there are free tickets available if you mail in a request to HQ. While this may take a little longer, you will be given 30 days of either Standard or Premium membership, whichever you choose.
Overall, ClubGG is a great place to play poker for free, and with just a few added features it could easily be one of the best around.

This is a dedicated poker site, so no slots or regular table games here. That said, there are two different formats here, so I’ll take you through them one by one
First up you have poker software you can use to play for free with friends, this is completely customizable and you can play No Limit Hold’em or Pot Limit Omaha. You have unlimited chips to play with, and you can control the number of players and even how long they have to make their move.
You also have tournaments which you can enter as a subscriber or with free entries you have requested by mail. You start at the 1st stage, and success will take you to the 2nd and then final stage, where you have the chance to collect L$, ClubGG’s virtual in-house currency.
This is a little more involved than a regular sweepstakes site that uses two different types of free sweeps coins, as here you also have the chips which you use for playing with your friends. These are unlimited and only matter in your club, like playing for matchsticks in the real world.
Tournament play is slightly different, and if you look at your account page you’ll see you have many more options. You’ve got three types of tournament tickets, which can be used to enter at 1st, 2nd or final stage. You’ll receive one 1st stage ticket a day with a standard subscription and unlimited if you opt to go Platinum. The others are gained by progress or from other programs like refer a friend.
Success at the final stage can win you L$, which like the other chips, tickets and tokens have no financial value. However, if you collect more than 20 of these and pass KYC verification, you can claim prizes such as gift cards.
This one of the best play for free poker sites I’ve seen, especially if you just want to set up your own club and play with friends. To get the most from tournaments you might well want to opt for a subscription, but the range of options and free-to-play system make this a better choice than most.
