The Colts are one of the hottest teams in football, while the Bengals have become a surprise team after a Monday Night upset against the Jacksonville Jaguars. This is a huge must-win for the Bengals as their conference record is poor, and they need to win every AFC game from here on out to have a realistic shot at making the playoffs for a third consecutive season.
Cincinnati won Monday with QB Jake Browning (32-for-37) under center, knocking Jacksonville QB Trevor Lawrence from the game late in the fourth quarter and outgaining Jacksonville 491-376 for an overtime thriller that averaged 8.2 yards per pass and 5 yards per carry. The Bengals rank 20th in scoring at 20.5 points per game while ranking 22nd for total yards (308.3) per contest, including 225.8 passing yards (17th) and 82.5 rushing yards (32nd). They convert 36.6 per cent of third downs (21st) and score touchdowns on 62.5 per cent of red zone trips (8th).
Cincinnati’s defense allows 22.8 points and 388.2 total yards (22nd in the league) per game, including 254.3 passing yards (27th) and 133.9 rushing yards (27th). They have 32 sacks and 12 interceptions this season; their opponents convert 43.7 per cent of third-down attempts (28th), reaching the end zone on 54.3 per cent of red zone visits (17th).
Indianapolis earned their fourth straight win against Tennessee last week in an overtime thriller led by quarterback Gardner Minshew’s 312 passing yards and two touchdown passes. Although they only managed 55 rushing yards on 23 carries and two turnovers during regulation time, they overcame a 17-7 deficit by sacking quarterback Will Levis six times! Indianapolis ranks eighth nationally with 25.0 points per game and averages 342.5 total yards (15th). They convert 36.3 per cent of third down attempts (22) and score touchdowns on 55 per cent of red zone trips (14), ranking them 14th overall.
The Colts defense ranks 28th overall, surrendering 24.7 points per game and 355.3 total yards – 22.1 passing yards (17th) and 133.3 rushing yards (26th). They’ve also collected 42 sacks and 12 interceptions this season; opponents convert 38.0 per cent of third down attempts (15th overall), reaching the red zone 54.0 per cent of the time (16th), and finding their opponent’s end zone on 54.0 per cent of trips (16th).

This should be a close game, with that being said I could see a game that is easily over the number of 42 points. Browning plays well again and leads the Bengals to victory. Bengals 27 Colts 23.
