What are free online progressive slot games
Free online progressive slots are not a separate game genre that you’ve never heard of. They are the same progressive jackpot slot games that you know, but this time you play them with virtual currencies. Compared to other slot games, we like to play progressive slots with Sweeps Coins (SC). That’s because when there’s a successful round, it can mean so much for our chance to redeem cash prizes.
When we find titles we are unfamiliar with, we also test them with Gold Coins (GC) to understand the gameplay progression. That’s all there is to playing progressive slots free, so we can get into where you should be playing them.
Where to play free progressive slots with no download
So we’ve reviewed many platforms that have progressive jackpot slots, but we had to narrow down our selection to just five. The main reasons why these five places make sense include the kind of promotions they offer and the range of progressive jackpot slots that you can find there.
Before you go ahead and select any of them, ensure that you reside in one of the states where sweepstakes casino gaming is legal. Make sure that you’re also at least 18 in some regions, or 21, before you proceed to sign up. Now that that’s out of the way, let’s get into each of these platforms one after the other:

McLuck—dedicated jackpot play section
McLuck: Pros & Cons
- 1,000+ casino-style games from 45+ providers
- 7,500 GC + 2.5 SC no-purchase welcome bonus
- Daily login rewards with GC and SC
- Dedicated iOS and Android apps
- 8-tier McLuck Loyalty Club
- Not available in all US states
- Live chat is limited to users who have made a GC purchase
We decided to start with McLuck because it has its own jackpot system. It is split into 4 different progressive pots, so there’s a grand, a major, a minor, and then a mini jackpot. The reason we find this one thrilling is that any single game you play at all can make a jackpot hit. As long as you’re playing with Gold Coins, you have a chance like everyone else on the platform.
So, for example, if you get the mini jackpot, that’s a total of 10,000 Gold Coins. As for the minor jackpot, it goes up to 200,000 Gold Coins. Then, there is the major jackpot of 2 million Gold Coins and the grand jackpot of 200 million Gold Coins. In our opinion, this is better than having just a small selection of free progressive slot machines. To start playing these games, you just have to sign up, and you’ll get 7,500 Gold Coins plus 2.5 Sweeps Coins free.
Jackpota—the home of jackpots
Jackpota: Pros & Cons
- New games every week
- 24/7 customer support
- Generous welcome deal
- Daily reload bonus
- Not availablen all US states
If you want to experience the best of free progressive slot games, then don’t skip Jackpota. From the platform’s name, you can already guess that they probably have a special place for Jackpot within their website. But what’s interesting is that when you visit for the very first time, you might miss the entire collection. So, what you want to do is, after you’ve registered, look through the list of game categories at the top part of the website.
When you spot one called “3PotsMania,” click on that. There, you will find every single interesting title in the jackpot category. One of the things we like most about the jackpot collection is that they come from different software providers, and there are exclusive ones too. Newly registered players also get a total of 7,500 Gold Coins with 2.5 Sweeps Coins at absolutely no cost. You can use this to participate in playing the jackpot games on the site.
Stake.us — impressive multi-studio jackpot collection
Stake.us: Pros & Cons
- 3,000+ games including exclusive Stake Originals
- Daily login bonus: 1 SC + 10,000 GC
- Social media bonus drops and Telegram drop codes
- Low minimum requirement for redemptions
- Not available in every U.S state
This list won’t be complete if we exclude Stake.us, because they’ve put in the work to pull together interesting jackpot slots from many studios. Just type “Jackpot” into the search bar and watch a long list of them appear; it’ll then be up to you to choose the progressives from the list. A little disclaimer, though: you might not get every single progressive slot on the site from the state where you reside.
If specific titles are not available in your state, you will see that they are blocked and clearly labeled as unavailable. Still, you should have over a dozen to choose from, and you get to play them using your welcome bonus. As you sign up, be sure to use the bonus code TGTSOCIAL to get 560K Gold Coins, 56 Sweeps Coins, and a 3.5% Rakeback.
SpinQuest—a wide range of jackpot options
SpinQuest: Pros & Cons
- Generous welcome bonus of 110,000 GC + 3 SC
- 1,000+ games from top studios like Hacksaw Gaming
- Mobile-friendly site
SpinQuest is not exactly one of the oldest sweepstakes casinos around, but it has a library of around 1,000 games. In that collection, you would find lots of
free video slots
that come with progressive jackpot features. A couple of ways you can find them include using the search bar to call them up by name or simply scrolling through the list of options on display. When we created our account, they immediately gave us 100,000 Gold Coins and 2 Sweeps Coins to explore the site with. Using them, we were able to play a couple of progressive jackpot slots for free.
WOW Vegas — 20+ progressive jackpot options
Pros of the Casino
- Generous welcome bonuses with free coins and sweepstakes credits
- Exciting WOW Jackpot feature with multiple prize tiers
- Large game library with over 1,000 slots
We’ll get into the library, but it is hard not to start with the 250,000 Wow Coins and 5 Sweeps Coins that players get just for signing up. This is one of the most generous promotions you will come across for free when it comes to sweepstakes casinos. Once you have that supply of virtual currency, which you can claim without even needing a promo code, you can then choose from over 20 progressive jackpot games on the site. The only requirement is that you must be within the 38 states where the platform is available and at least 18 years of age.
How to select the best progressive jackpot slots
There are so many progressive jackpot slots, which makes it difficult to decide on those that are worth playing and those you should skip. Since it is difficult to tell the exact titles you will find across the different platforms, you need to come up with a way to select the best ones. Here are the things we look at when making our picks:
Even if you are looking to play just
free classic slots, volatility and RTP are two of the first things to look out for. Generally, slots with progressive jackpots come with very high volatility. Which means that getting a winning spin takes longer, but when they happen, you finally hit very big numbers. That is not to say you will not find progressive jackpot slots with medium variance.
As a matter of fact, if you find one, we would advise that you go for it, especially if you do not have the patience for very long wait times. But you have to remember that volatility and return-to-player percentages work hand in hand to determine the size of whatever you are going to get at the end of the day. Games with a high return to player, which generally is 96% or higher, will theoretically pay out more over time than games with a lower percentage.
This is very important because when you are playing a progressive jackpot, the size increases as more people continue to play with their virtual currency. A tiny portion continues to go into the pool until it eventually hits. If the RTP is higher, you can expect a relatively better prize pool at the end of the day.
Classic
free online penny slots
are your go-to if you want something simple. However, if you are looking to play a modern progressive jackpot slot, then you will need to think about features. Ask yourself what kind of in-game bonus rounds or elements will appeal to you, especially when you know the jackpot is the goal.
If you think that free spins are more valuable, then look for progressive jackpot slots with multiple free spin opportunities. However, if you think that something with a cascading reel will be best because of the many chances to make matching combinations, then opt for that. What’s important is that you enjoy the gameplay itself, whether or not the jackpot hits when you expect it.
Nobody wants to play a boring game, no matter what the eventual potential win looks like. To avoid opting out of a game mid-session out of boredom, you want to be careful about how you pick one in the first place. That’s why checking out the theme and design up front is very important. The good thing about online slots in general is that you can never run out of designs to choose from.
Go through the list of progressive jackpot slots at the social casino you have chosen and select one that appeals to you not only aesthetically but also when it comes to the sound. If you’re unsure from just a quick look, you have the option to play with Gold Coins to test a few rounds. That way, you can decide if you wish to continue playing with sweeps coins later on.
Remember that there are many types of jackpots, but what you want is a progressive one. This means if you’re seeing titles that you’re not familiar with, you have to carefully check to confirm if they are indeed progressive. Even the ones that come with multiple jackpots can also be progressive. However, the only way you can know is by reading the fine print.
You also need to know that not all progressive jackpot slots are the same. Some of them are local to the sweepstakes casino platform where you are playing, which means only people who are playing the game at the same time as you on that side contribute towards the grand prize. However, there are some that are networked, where people are contributing from different sites as they play the same game as you. The network usually pays out the highest amount of virtual currency, so you want to opt for those once you’re able to identify them.
Choosing the best progressive jackpot sites
You don’t need to do anything right now apart from looking through the sweepstakes casino brands that we have featured and selecting one. If you decide to also look at other platforms, just in case you feel you’ll find more options for games, then you need a checklist. This will include all the non-negotiables that you will check out for before picking any of the brands that you find online.
Of course, the most important thing to every player would vary according to their preferences and tastes. That’s why for our own checklist, we selected the more general aspects that nobody will want to compromise. Here are two of them:
You should always start with the sign up bonus and other promotions that any site has because these are what you will use to play the progressive jackpot games. Make sure that the offer you get does not require you to make an initial GC purchase, because then it will not be free. The size of the bonus also matters, as you can see from the brands that we have recommended. The minimum amount you want to watch out for when it comes to Gold Coins should be around 7,500. Sweeps Coins can be as low as a fraction or even one. But don’t worry, because there will be other ways to get them as you become a returning player.
Number of available progressive jackpot games
Obviously, you can’t continue playing a single game over and over again simply because it has a progressive jackpot. That’s why when you’re choosing a platform, you need to confirm that they have multiple options that you can switch between. A minimum of five progressive jackpot slots will do, but the more the better. You also want to carefully check the software providers behind the progressive jackpot slots. If the names that you see are not popular, you can take your time to check their website just to get an idea of their reputation so far.
Pros and cons of free progressive jackpot slot
When you are playing for a chance at a very large amount of virtual currency, it is easy to conclude that nothing could go wrong. Indeed, there is nothing serious to worry about, but you should know the possible cons involved:
Pros & Cons
- Free-to-play games
- A chance at a large possible win
- Simple gameplay with familiar and new titles
- Wins are in virtual currency only
How to get cash prizes from free progressive jackpot slots
This is most likely the part you’ve been waiting for, so let’s let the cat out of the bag. There are no direct cash prizes from playing free progressive jackpot games, so you have to redeem your SC winnings to cash prizes, given that you’ve fulfilled all the SC redemption requirements. It’s a very simple process when you follow these 3 steps:
-
Confirm the minimum Sweeps Coins requirement for SC redemption. On some platforms, it is 50 SC, but it can be as high as 100 on others.
-
Complete your KYC early so that there are no delays when you are ready to redeem your cash prizes.
-
Clear the playthrough requirement early so that you can confidently request an SC redemption.
Are free progressive jackpot slots worth playing?
If you’re not yet decided on whether or not you want to play progressive jackpot slots for free, this is your sign to go ahead. The benefits are immense; chief among them is that you do not get to use anything that is a physical medium of exchange to play these games. Also, we have taken our time to make sure that we recommend only brands where you can play securely.
That automatically takes away the stress of manually searching for sweepstakes casino sites that have good bonuses and an impressive list of progressive jackpot games. Take your time and look through all the sites we have featured here, make your pick, and register. Click any of the banners for the platform you prefer and claim the welcome offer.
