Don’t Be fooled by the outcome of Chicago and Minnesota’s early meeting. Although Minnesota narrowly edged out Chicago with a 30-27 overtime victory, they controlled much of the first three and a half quarters. They built an early 24-10 lead before slowing their play, allowing Chicago to score 10 points and recover a superb onside kick for overtime to ensue.
Chicago recently made a change at head coach, firing Matt Eberflus and naming the new interim boss Thomas Brown. Additionally, DC Eric Washington experienced a humiliating defeat from Kyle Shanahan and the 49ers last week and should face similar results on Monday.
No play-caller has been more challenging to prepare for than Kevin O’Connell of the Minnesota Vikings. O’Connell will look for every opening in Bears defense to exploit. Minnesota has posted an impressive 6-1 home record so far with five of those wins covering while posting a +61 point differential.
