The Miami Dolphins recently defeated the Denver Broncos with a 70-20 victory during NFL Week 3.
The Buffalo Bills recently earned a decisive 37-3 win against the Washington Commanders in their third game of the 2023 NFL Season.
So this is a battle between two of the hottest teams in the NFL. The Bills were preseason favorites to win the AFC East, and the Dolphins have put themselves clearly in the picture as the Bills chief challenge.
The Bills went into DC and scored 37 uncontested points without even breaking a sweat, although they may have put in more points had they given more effort. Watching this game, it appeared as though Buffalo could have easily scored 50!
They caused five turnovers, limited Washington to 1-9 on third downs, gained 386 yards, and only allowed three points late in the game (46 seconds left).
Miami may become one of the hottest picks for Week 4. Considering they scored 70 points last week, and due to this being a playoff-type matchup in Buffalo where Josh Allen has struggled immensely during those situations, we may see Miami trend upwards in popularity in Week 4. Remember this though, Josh Allen has owned the Dolphins in his career.
According to Next Gen Stats, this Dolphins offense currently boasts five of the fastest ball carriers in the league. These players wear football pads and equipment but still come within inches of breaking residential speed limits on radar guns. Tagovailoa released his ball from his hands at 2.34 seconds, the fastest among NFL QBs; combined with Mike McDaniel’s scheme, Miami rushing attack, and speed all over the field, you are running into what they call a firestorm of explosive offense.
The Bills-Dolphins Week 4 game promises to be an action-packed contest; both offenses are too strong not to make this an intense contest. Both will mix run and pass plays to create opportunities in both aspects of the game – guaranteeing fireworks in both areas!
Tua Tagovailoa may have had an impressive season for the Dolphins, but Josh Allen remains the more accomplished quarterback. If one of these quarterbacks must lead one final drive to win a game, off past performance, you would have to give the edge to Allen!
