You could not possibly get a worse game than this. The over/under is 30.5! Bailey Zappe vs Mitchell Trubisky! This will be a great game for insomniacs as this should put you to sleep faster than a WNBA game. The Steelers are still in the playoff hunt and must win this game. The Patriots season has been over for awhile now and the only purpose may be to see if Bailey Zappe can be the quarterback of the future.
Pittsburgh was victimized by lightning delays, injury issues, and the Arizona Cardinals, eventually suffering an embarrassing defeat against them at home. The Pittsburgh Steelers enter this week 7-5 and hold onto the top wild-card spot in the AFC, although four other teams also possess 7-5 marks also. Pittsburgh held an advantage in total offense with 317-282, held 30:47-29:13 time of possession over Pittsburgh (30:47 to 29:13) and both teams had 18 first downs; Pittsburgh committed the game’s sole turnover, went 4-of-11 on third downs, and came up empty on four fourth-and goal situations.
New England fell to their fifth consecutive defeat and was held under seven points for three straight games and five times overall this season. The Patriots enter this week at 2-10 and in last place in the AFC East. Their previous matchup against Los Angeles revealed no improvement under Bailey Zappe compared with Mac Jones at quarterback; their offense was once again rendered impotent against an aggressive defense. Although weather was a factor, New England failed to mount much of a sustained push during a game where even one touchdown would have made all the difference. New England held a 257-241 edge in total offense with 31:10 of possession time over 28:50 from Baltimore, while both teams earned 13 first downs each. New England committed one turnover, went four of 14 on third down plays and surrendered five sacks as they fell by 17-14.
It’s hard to give up six points in this game even with the knowledge that the Patriots are horrible. Pittsburgh 10 New England 6
