Detroit is going streaking (four straight wins) through the quad and into Arrowhead stadium, while Kansas City will be looking to right the ship after a tough loss against Jacksonville. This is expected to be a high scoring game, with Patrick Mahomes having a healthy receiving corps (missing only Rashee Rice due to suspension), and Detroit dealing with injuries in the secondary. Starting cornerbacks D.J. Reed and Terrion Arnold are out, and starting safeties Kerby Joseph and Brian Branch are questionable. That’s a lot of talent to be missing in a game of this magnitude, and will put pressure on the Lions offense. With that being said, week 6 in the NFL is here, and we’re taking a look at the Top 3 Prop Bets: Detroit Lions vs Kansas City Chiefs!
Jahmyr Gibbs – Anytime Touchdown Scorer (-160 on DraftKings)
Jahmyr Gibbs has been efficient both rushing and receiving, and the Chiefs have shown a vulnerability to explosive runs. Gibbs has scored touchdowns in each of the last four games (all wins), and is an integral part of this offense. He leads the team in carries and rushing yards, and is second on the team in receptions through five games. Gibbs is tied for 3rd among running backs in the NFL with five total touchdowns this season.
Jared Goff – OVER 1.5 Touchdown Passes (-135 on BetMGM)
Jared Goff averages 237.4 passing yards per game this season, but has exceeded that number only twice in five games this season. He might hit his projected yardage total in this one because it’s expected to be a high scoring game, but I think there is another passing bet to place this week. Goff has a passing touchdown in all five games this year, with multiple passing touchdowns in three of them. He has averaged two passing touchdowns per road game since the start of last season, and leads the NFL in passing touchdowns this season with 12.
David Montgomery – OVER 41.5 Rushing Yards (-114 on FanDuel)
Kansas City is 30th in the NFL in defensive rush EPA, and ranks 28th in yards per carry allowed (4.8). Chris Jones is still a force up front for the Chiefs, but the rest of the defensive line is in shambles between injuries and ineffective play. David Montgomery has rushed for more than 56 yards in three of his last four games, and averages 5.1 yards per attempt. Montgomery is 7th in the NFL with a 0.05 EPA per rush, and is averaging 62 rushing yards per game.
Spread: Detroit +2.5 | Kansas City -2.5
Moneyline: Detroit +115 | Kansas City -135
Total (over/under): 53 points
