The Lions boast the highest-scoring offense in the league, propelled by an elite offensive line and their dynamic backfield duo of Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery.
But, the Packers have been impressive on run defense team, ranking 12th in DVOA. Recently they’ve made notable adjustments by increasing stacked boxes which has helped hold Christian McCaffrey to 11/31/0 rushing lines and De’Von Achane to 7/14/0 over their past two games.
Decker has yet to practice this week, and his absence would not only make it easier for Green Bay to slow Detroit’s powerful rushing attack but would also increase pressure on Jared Goff. Rashan Gary will likely be used against backup Dan Skipper if Decker starts in his place.
Though Detroit’s offense can score points, this game script emphasizes their defense stepping up and slowing the Packers down. Green Bay may contain Detroit’s run game (just enough), while Love may struggle against an aggressive Lions defense.
