The Nuggets signed Kentavious CaldwellâPope to a $30 million, two-year contract. Multiple sources claim that the deal includes a second-year player option. Caldwell-Pope averaged 13.2 points, 3.4 rebounds, 1.9 assists, and 1.1 steals per NBA season with the Wizards in 2021-22. Check out the

Last season, he played in and started in 77 games for the Wizards. The nine-year veteran guard shot 43% from the floor and 39% from three-point range. Per Basketball-Reference, the guard is projected to average 14.7 points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.2 steals per game in the 2022-23 season. His defense has been solid.

Kentavious CaldwellâPope Is A Consistent Defender
The Wizards traded Ish Smith and CaldwellâPope to the Nuggets last week for Will Barton and Monte Morris. Caldwell-Pope made $13,038,862 in the 2021-22 season with the Wizards. The guard averaged at least one steal in five of his nine NBA seasons.

Caldwell-Pope helped the Lakers’ backcourt during The 2020 NBA Playoffs.
The importance of the guard also marked the Lakers’ 2019-20 season. Caldwell Pope scored 18 points during the first round 2020 NBA Playoffs. His team beat the Nuggets 126 to114 in Game 1.
He also scored 17 points on 46% shooting from below in the Lakers’ 106 to 93 victory against the Heat in Game 6 in the 2020 NBA Finals.
The Lakers won their 17th title due to his playoff performances and the efforts of LeBron James and Anthony Davis.
Michael Malone, Nuggets coach, is now trying to get the Nuggets past the first round in the playoffs next year. The team was 48-34 (.585) last season. Denver was also ranked sixth in the Western Conference standings.
