In the last few years, Rogan has only covered UFC pay-per-view fights that took place in North America. This is because he is busy with many other things. Since UFC 275 is going to take place in Singapore, it’s not surprising that Bisping will replace Rogan.
Rogan is likely to come back at UFC 276, which will take place in Las Vegas. On the Friday before the PPV event, the comedian has a show in Las Vegas.
UFC 275 will be the first time the company has ever shown a pay-per-view event in Singapore. In the main event, light title holder Glover Teixeira will defend his title against Jiri Prochazka.
Valentina Shevchenko, reigning flyweight winner, will also fight on Saturday. In the co-main event, she will go up against Brazilian contender Taila Santos. The much-anticipated rematch between Joanna Jedrzejczyk and Zhang Weili, who fought in the Fight of the Year in 2020, is also on the card.
The pay-per-view show will still start at the usual time in the United States, which is 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT for the main card.
Teixeira, who is 42 years old, is the oldest first-time UFC champion ever. He beat Jan Blachowicz in the second round of UFC 267 last October to win the title.
He has been a professional fighter since 2002 and has been with the promotion since 2012. During his time in the UFC, he has won big fights against people like Rashad Evans, Anthony Smith, Ryan Bader, Rampage Jackson and Thiago Santos.
Prochazka beat Volkan Oezdemir and Dominick Reyes quickly and violently to get a chance to fight for the title. He has also won by knockout against C.B. Dolloway, Karl Albrektsson, Muhammad Lawal, and the current Bellator Light Heavyweight Champion, Vadim Nemkov.
Prochazka’s knees and elbows are dangerous, but Teixeira is exceptional on the ground. Prochazka has knocked out 25 of his opponents and forced two of them to submit, while Teixeria has knocked out 18 of his opponents.
Since 2018, Shevchenko has been second five times. During her eight-fight winning streak, she beat Lauren Murphy, Jessica Andrade, Katlyn Chookagian, Joanna Jedrzejczyk and the current Bellator Flyweight Champion, Liz Carmouche. Check out the top new sportsbooks for betting on UFC 275!
Amanda Nunes, who is now the Featherweight Champion and used to be the Bantamweight Champion, beat her in her last fight by a split decision in 2017.
But Santos will try to stop Shevchenko from defending his title more than six times.
Since her first UFC fight, which she lost to Mara Romero Borella by a split decision in 2019, Santos has won four in a row. Gillian Robertson, Roxanne Modafferi, Molly McCann, and Joanne Wood have all lost to her. Three of those four wins were decided by the judge.
Both fighters are good at kickboxing and muay thai, and are also good on the ground.
