How Can Max Win the Title?

Given that Max has won 11 races this season so far with his last 5 being consecutive wins, mathematically he can win the driver’s title. The Red Bull driver heads to Marina Bay Circuit with an extra 116 points clear to his closest championship rival Charles Leclerc, whilst Max’s team mate Checo Perez is a further nine points behind. There are a number of scenarios as to how Max can win this title in Singapore and it all revolves around Charles having some form of mechanical issue or a disastrous race. What Exactly Needs to Happen?

So firstly Max would need to win the race, Charles would need to finish ninth or lower, Sergio Perez would need to finish fourth or fifth depending on who gets the fastest lap. To put it simply, Max Verstappen will need to outscore Charles Leclerc by 22 points. He must also outscore his teammate Sergio Perez by 13 points whilst also outsourcing George Russell by 6 points. If the stars align for Max and all this becomes a reality, he will be crowned world champion in Singapore. If you ask me, I think the championship battle will roll over to the Japanese Grand Prix which will bring up another lot of permutations, and even then it can still roll over to the U.S Grand Prix.
