Wednesday will mark Game 2 in the First Round of the NBA Playoffs, as the 8-seed Miami Heat (46-36) will face the 1-seed Boston Celtics (64-18). Boston cruised to an easy 114-94 win in Game 1, covering its 14.5-point spread without ever trailing and leading by as much as 34 points; the Celtics have beaten the Heat all four times they have played this season, three were regular season games.
These odds were updated at 9 pm EST on 04/24/24, coming from Draft Kings.
This bet is an Erik Spoelstra’s bet: he is to good of a coach to get blown out twice in a row. Miami outscored Boston inside 44-24 in Game 1, showing their dominance inside while maintaining good ball control; each side committed only 11 turnovers total in the game. Game 1’s difference maker was three-point shooting: Boston was able to shoot 44.9% from three-point range, while Miami only managed 32.4% – far above their regular season percentages of 38.8% and 37.0%, respectively. These percentages should return closer to normal in this game. Do you like to bet Parlays? We will walk you through how to do it if you check out our NBA Playoff Parlay page.
Coach Spoelstra saw Boston’s attack and is aware of what pieces he has and how best to counter it. Tyle Herro only scored 11 points and should be better in game 2 and look for Bam to bounce back with a better game. Porzingis can post up like Bam, while Porzingis likes shooting threes from outside, where Bam can compete. Boston may be strong, but this number is too great; take 14.5 points with Coach Spo and the Heat!

I think the Celtics win the game, so no value exists betting this game on the money line, unless you think the Heat will win the game. To find the best line, you need accounts with multiple sportsbooks, and we got you covered as we break down the best sports betting app
The Over/Under is 204.5 in this game. I think the Heat will shoot the ball much better and this will be a game that ends in the 115-110 range so I will bet the over in game 2.
I think the spread is correct since if I am Vegas I want money bet evenly on the two teams. The Heat are better than though showed in game one, so take the Heat and the points.
Game one was an anomaly as the Celtics shot out of their minds. The Heat showed they may have an advantage inside outscoring the Celtics 44-24 in the paint. Look for the Celtics shooting to come back to earth and the Heat to shoot the ball the way they normally do which will make this game much different than game one. This game will be unlike game one as I think we will see a much closer game than two days ago. The Heat will not win but this will be a single-digit game. I see the Celtics pulling away at the end to win 116-108.
