NBA Playoff Game 5 Indiana Pacers vs Milwaukee Bucks: Odds, Tips and Predictions 4/30/24

Indiana Pacers hope to close out the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday. They’ll have three chances at it, although only one at home.

Indiana can take solace from the fact that Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard, two key contributors on Tuesday, may be unavailable; their statuses for Tuesday remain in question while Khris Middleton (probable) still has yet to receive official word regarding injury reports, so here’s our approach for betting this game regardless of who’s missing or injured:

Pacers vs Bucks

• Spread: Pacers -4
• Moneyline Pacers -184
• Moneyline Bucks +154
• Over/Under 216.5

These odds were updated at 6 am EST on 04/30/24, coming from Draft Kings.

Our Best Pick: Pacers to Cover

Indiana’s offense has been just as effective as Milwaukee’s in this series, winning rebounding and turnover battles and being significantly healthier overall – especially regarding star players. The Pacers defense is bad, but the injuries to the Bucks have swung this series heavily in favor of the Pacers.

Expect game five of this series to end quickly if Antetokounmpo and Lillard don’t return, especially since Milwaukee will not be able to score enough points to keep up with the Pacers. Take Indiana as the winner to cover. Check out the latest Western Conference odds for the 2024 NBA Playoffs.

Pacers vs Bucks Moneyline

The Pacers to win is a solid bet here with all of Milwaukee’s injuries, and the value is in the point spread, not the money line. Keep an eye on the injury report and don’t bet this game until you know whos playing. If Giannis, Lillard and Middleton all play, then a money-line bet on the Bucks would start to make sense. Pacers vs Bucks Over/Under Analysis

The Over/Under is 216.5 in this game. The last game easily went over and my bet is that the same thing happens again in this game. The Pacers offense is bad and their offense is good and the Bucks will be able to score no matter who plays tonight for them.

DraftKings

4.5/5

Tip: Bet the Over 216.5

• Odds favor game in the 100s
• Pacers to control tempo
• Pacers should win

Lakers vs Nuggets Spread Analysis

The spread is about right at -4. The Pacers look to be the better team now, especially with all of the Bucks’ injury issues. Would the Pacers beat a healthy Bucks team? They did in the regular season, but the way these playoff games have gone, I could see why a Bucks fan would think otherwise.

Injuries and Suspensions

Pacers Injury Report

• Mauthrin- Out
• Haliburton- Questionable

Bucks Injury Report

• Giannis- Doubtful
• Middleton- Doubtful
• Lillard- Probable
• Beverley- Probable

Conclusion

The Bucks will not go down easy and they have proven that. They have also proven that injuries are devastating to their chance to advance in these playoffs. I look for the Pacers to pull away late in the fourth quarter to clinch this series win. Pacers 122  Bucks 111.
