Kyle Larson

Larson was the second faster car in qualifying for the Daytona 500 and ran well in the Duels. Larson is the 2021 Nascar champion and has proven he can race anything with four wheels. As long as Larson stayed out of trouble, I look for him to be in a position to win at the end of the race. Larson is the favorite for this year’s 500 and is +1000 to win, +400 to finish in the top 3, and +190 to finish in the top 5.

Joey Logano

Logano won the first Duel Thursday night picking right where he left off in 2022 after winning his 2nd Nascar Cup series title. I was skeptical Fords would compete this year however after watching Fords in qualifying and the Duels I may need to reevaluate that opinion. I will not be surprised if Logano is in a position to win this race in the final laps. Logano is + 1200 to win, +350 to finish in the top 3, and +250 to finish in the top 5.

Denny Hamlin

Hamlin always has the potential to win any race he is in. As long as he can keep the scotch tape off his car for this race he has as good of a chance as anyone to win. Hamlin looked good in the duels finishing in 8th place in Duel number 2. Hamlin ran the duels how you would expect a veteran too, trying to play it safe and make it to Sunday. Hamlin is +1300 to win, +350 to finish in the top 3, and +300 to finish in the top 5.

Austin Dillon

Dillon is a long shot to win the Daytona 500. However, it has been absolutely evident his team has benefited from the addition of Kyle Busch at RCR. I suspect Dillon will have a setup similar to Busch at the start of the race. At the end of the day Dillon has really appeasing odds to a bettor if he can finish well. Dillon is +3000 to win, +700 to finish in the top 3, and +380 to finish in the top 5.
