On Sunday at 2:30 P.M. NASCAR is set to run the 65th Daytona 500. This yearâs race looks to be as exciting as it gets. Daytona holds a special place in every NASCAR fanâs heart and is the most coveted trophy in all of American Motorsports. We have seen everything in the Daytona 500, from triumph to death. What race fan will ever forget the 1998 Daytona 500 when 7-time cup champion Dale Earnhardt won his only Daytona 500 at the age of 46, and every crew member on every team lined up on pit road to shake his hand as he drove to victory lane.
