Well, it looks like fans are going to have to battle some terrible weather if they plan on catching the last race at Fontana’s historical two-mile track. Auto Club Speedway announced in 2019 the plans to convert the current two-mile track into a ½ mile-short track, however since the announcement no new news has been fourth coming and it looks like this will be the final NASCAR race at Fontana. With the current weather conditions, it looks like qualifying on Saturday will be a wash (pun intended). So, what does that mean for the starting order for this Sunday’s race? Four factors decide the order, the driver’s finish in the most recent race, the team’s car numbers, finish in the most recent race, the team’s car number’s position in the owner standings, and the rank of the driver’s fastest lap in the most recent race. Elliot is looking to get back on track after he had to settle for a disappointing finish last week in the Daytona 500. Martin Truex Jr

Truex Jr. can’t be overlooked for this weekend’s race at Auto Club. Truex Jr., won in 2018 at this track and has always competed well on the two-mile track, and is looking. Truex is looking to solidify his position in the playoffs early this year after missing the cut last year, and one of his best chances to do so is at a track he has already won at. Truex Jr. is +1400 to win, +400 to finish in the top 3, and +200 to finish in the top 5.
