Packz.io – best for sports and Pokémon trading cards
Packz.io: Pros and Cons
- Easy to use
- 100% buy-back offer
- Fast and secure transactions
Packz.io could be your go-to if you want sports trading card packs and Pokémon trading card packs.
These are the main categories it offers, and we’ve found mystery boxes priced as low as $25, though options go up to $2,500 for better-value boxes.
Packz.io is also verified by authenticators and graders like the Professional Sports Authenticator (PSA) and Beckett Grading Services (BGS). So you know you’re using a legit site.
With the sports packs, you’ll find trading cards from the MLB, NBA, NFL, and international leagues.
Each pack you select has an odds distribution that shows the value ranges and the percentage chance of each.
For instance, the sports starter pack has several ranges, with a 25% chance of getting a prize valued between $18 and $25, and a 0.1% chance of getting a prize worth $250 to $500 with your $25 purchase.
Packz.io’s promo code
GRUELINGBOX for new users is a 100% buyback on your first pack. This means you can sell back a mystery box you don’t like and get your initial cost refunded as site credits, up to $100.

TiltRips
Tilt Rips: Pros and Cons
- Packs available from just $0.10

TiltRips probably offers one of the simplest, most efficient sites to buy packs. You will find a simple interface with all available packs in front of you, with each pack’s price below.
TiltRips specializes in Pokémon, One Piece, and sports card collections. It’s a bit harder to find each section. You will find them in grey, slightly above the packs.

ClutchPacks
ClutchPacks: Pros and Cons
- Mobile-friendly website usable on both Android and iOS devices
- Multiple pack options, including Pokémon and soccer
- Support for resale and shipment
- No available promotions or extra incentives
Just as with TiltRips, ClutchPacks specializes in Pokémon, One Piece, and Sports Cards, although from what I have seen, the vast majority of packs are focused on Sports, leaving smaller sections for the rest.
Packs are divided into:
- Liftoff – $25
- Ignition – $50
- Ascent – $100
- Orbit – $500
- Galaxy – $1,000
- Moonshot – $2,500
With your first purchase, and without needing any
ClutchPacks promo code, you will get a 20% discount on your first pack purchase; it can be any pack you choose… so it goes without saying that the larger the pack you choose, the more you will save.
Whenever you click on a pack, you will find the average value you can pull, the bottom you could hit, as well as the chaser ceiling, which is the highest hit people are searching for within the type of pack you selected.

Slabz
Slabz: Pros and Cons
- Physical graded slabs
- Multiple payment options to buy packs
- Includes a VIP program
- No welcome offer for new collectors
Slabz is by far one of my favorite mystery pack sites, and the main reason is that, instead of solely focusing on your average Pokémon or One Piece TCGs, Slabz also allows you to purchase Dragon Ball cards, Sports cards, and my current favorite, Riftbound TCG.
Another thing is that whatever you open will be a professionally graded card by PSA, CGC, and BGS, so you know you’re in for the good stuff.
After creating your account, you can claim the welcome bonus without a
Slabz promo code. This promotion gives you an 85% discount on your first mystery pack, so make it count!
Another great feature is that you can actually choose the pack from a specific generation like Poké Vintage or modern, and packs that start from $25 up to $5,000

LastPack
Lastpack: Pros and Cons
- Three free packs welcome bonus
- Multiple digital packs
- Easy shipping process
This is also a personal favorite of mine. LasPack is quite similar to Slabz; they mainly focus on TCGs. On this site, you can rip packs from Pokémon, One Piece, Riftbound, and Dragon Ball.
The system is straightforward: you open packs, which you will receive within the next 5 business days, and you can sell them back to LastPack for their market value if you wish to.
The
Last Pack welcome bonus
is also quite sick; just for creating an account, you’ll get 3 free packs of your choice. You can pick one TCG or combine all three!
You can purchase packs that go for as low as $0.25 (QUARTER) with a 2.2% chance of hitting a GRAIL card, and go as high as $1,000 (TITAN PACK) with a 2.2% chance of hitting a Mythic and a 0.5% chance of hitting a GRAIL that can be valued as high as $200,000.

BigBux.io – Huge selection of mystery boxes and PvP unboxing games
What are mystery box websites?
You may have come across mystery boxes while playing online games, where they could reveal special in-game prizes, or even in retail stores, where you pick a box without knowing what’s inside.
Online mystery box sites are quite similar. Just as the name implies, you’ll purchase a box that contains one or several random items from a preset group of possible prizes.
The exact contents of the box aren’t entirely predictable, so you won’t know exactly what you’ll pull until you open it. But online mystery boxes are often grouped, so you at least know what category your prize falls under and the percentage chance of pulling each item.
Online mystery boxes usually have fixed price ranges and are often grouped into tiers. So you can go for lower-priced boxes if you prefer, or switch to higher-priced options that usually come with prizes that are of higher value. Some sites, including a few we’ll be recommending here, also offer a discount on your first mystery box purchase.
The items inside these boxes could be frankly anything, but it’s simple to get a hang of how these sites work. You just select a themed box, pay, and open it to reveal your reward. Remember that what you pull is random.
Pros and cons of online mystery boxes
Similar to sites offering
real money skill games, mystery box sites are becoming increasingly popular for many reasons. It’s still good practice to know their pros and cons before deciding to register with one.
Pros and Cons
- Various box categories to choose from
- Available where online gaming is restricted
- Options to trade or upgrade prizes
- Simple to use
- Chance to receive high-value prizes
- Wide range of price points
- Unpredictable prize values
- Some boxes may have limited prize information
- You may receive items you don’t want
Types of online mystery boxes
Online mystery boxes can include virtually any prize and span categories like gaming, tech, sports, and more.
If it’s valuable, chances are there’s a mystery box for it. Here are the most common ones you’ll find:
Trading Card Mystery Boxes
Trading card mystery boxes contain collectible cards from categories such as sports, Pokémon, Riftbound, One Piece, and other trending trading card games that are becoming popular among collectors.
Depending on the mystery box price, you could receive individual cards, booster packs, or rarer collectibles, in sometimes even cases.
Physical mystery boxes contain tangible prizes that can be shipped to you. These are common among people searching for high-value electronics, tech gear, cars, luxury fashion items, and other high-value products.
You just need to choose the amount you want to invest, and depending on what you get, you can resell it in some cases.
Digital mystery boxes contain online rewards rather than physical products. These can include Mystery Coins, site credits, digital collectibles, in-game items, and other virtual rewards.
This is similar to physical mystery boxes, but with an added instant dopamine hit: you instantly get access to your items and decide what to do with them.
Crypto mystery boxes typically contain cryptocurrency-related rewards, including cryptocurrencies and NFTs.
Contents and value can vary significantly depending on the platform and box type.
How to get started with online mystery boxes
The first step is deciding which type of mystery box site you want to play on. Do you actually want to open mystery boxes with jewelry, clothes, perfumes, or would you rather rip TCG packs?
If you are like me and you’re going after hits and slabs, I recommend making sure the site you plan to play on offers the TCGs you want. Most sites offer Pokémon, but not all offer One Piece, and even fewer offer Riftbound or other Ip’s.
Next, I have put together some steps you can follow to get started at what could be your next favorite site!
-
Check my toplist –
At the top of this page, I have put together a table featuring several different sites, all with different perks, and below the list, I also added some mini reviews to dig a bit deeper.
-
Visit your preferred site –
After checking which one best serves your interests, click on any of the banners or links attached to those sites. This will take you to their homepage, where you can start the sign-up process.
-
Copy promo code –
Some of the sites I am promoting on this page have promo codes that enhance their welcome bonus. Copy them if we list them, and paste them where required during signup.
-
Create an account –
Click on sign up or create account. Generally, you will first need to create a username and password and add your email. After that, you may need to add extra information and tick the T&C boxes.
-
Claim your welcome bonus –
Once you have created your account, you will be able to claim your welcome bonus. In most cases, you will get a discount on your packs, or a free pack with your first purchase. Check the promotions I listed above.
Are mystery boxes online legal in the US?
Mystery Boxes are completely legal to purchase, sell, and trade across the US. It’s a new trend in the country, especially among card collectors, but it’s becoming so massive that it’s reaching other types of collectors, too.
Since it is not considered gambling, or any other affiliated type of market to gambling or sweepstakes, the WSGCLB (Washington State Gambling Commission Loot Boxes) considers mystery boxes, also known as loot boxes, completely legal to purchase or sell online.

Are mystery box websites legit?
Yes, they are! Because they operate under the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), these sites are regulated and must offer randomized digital and physical prizes, as required under Section 5 of the FTC Act.
You can find detailed information on transparency, mechanics, and child protection in the
FTC Video Game Loot Box Workshop Report.
Can you get free mystery boxes?
Mystery Boxes are not online gambling sites or sweepstakes casinos where you are lured in with no-deposit bonuses.
These sites operate completely differently, and the rewards are “objects,” not money or tokens. What you will usually find are big discounts on packs, or boxes, or a buy one, get one free welcome bonus.
On rare occasions, some sites offer a low-tier pack or mystery box, but this is rare and usually gives you one card or one prize hidden in the box.
Up next, I’m going to share with you a table with the best free promotions, or buy one get one free:

Best mystery box apps
If you enjoy the excitement of opening mystery boxes but want the chance to receive real collectibles, digital pack-opening platforms are worth checking out.
These apps and websites let you choose a pack, reveal your randomized item digitally, and then decide what to do with the physical collectible behind it.
Some platforms focus heavily on sports cards, while others specialize in Pokémon and other TCGs. I’ve highlighted four of the best options below, including both dedicated apps and platforms that work particularly well on mobile
Packz is one of the more polished sites for opening digital packs and receiving real collectible cards.
Packz lets you select a pack, watch the reveal, and then either keep your card, have it shipped to you, or sell it back and cash out.
The platform covers several collectible categories, including sports cards and Pokémon, while some packs can contain high-value cards.
Packz also shows recent hits and larger pulls from its community, adding a social element beyond opening packs and letting you make an offer or buy from those users.
The iPhone app currently has a 4.7/5 rating from around 18,000 ratings, making it one of the more established choices on this list, and it’s also available for Android users with a Play Store rating of 4.7/5.
- Play Store – 4.7/5⭐
- App Store – 4.7/5⭐
ClutchPacks is particularly great for sports card collectors. Its packs contain physical cards that are stored in a vault after you make your digital pull. You can then keep the card in your collection, sell it back, or request physical delivery.
The platform focuses on collectible sports cards from major names across basketball, football, baseball, soccer, and other sports.
It also offers TCG categories such as Pokémon and One Piece. ClutchPacks says it records its randomized packs on the Polygon blockchain to provide a transparent record of the pack-opening process.
Its iPhone app currently has a 4.0/5 rating, although it’s relatively new and has a much smaller review base than Packz; unlike its competitor, it doesn’t offer a native Android app yet.
Tilt Rips is a strong app choice if Pokémon and TCGs like One Piece are your main interest. The platform lets you open digital packs with real physical cards stored in its vault.
Once you’veripped your card, you can keep it vaulted, sell eligible cards back, or have your favorite pulls shipped to you.
The platform has expanded beyond Pokémon, with its current iOS app offering Pokémon, sports, and One Piece packs.
It also provides pack information before you buy, so you can see the types of cards you can pull. For example, higher-priced packs include a guaranteed hit plus a set number of cards.
Tilt Rips currently has a 4.7/5 rating from more than 4,000 App Store ratings. Its Android listing has a considerably lower rating, so iOS users appear to have a more positive overall experience.
- App Store 4.7/5⭐
- Play Store 1.7/5⭐
Slabz takes a slightly different approach by turning mystery pack openings into a game-like collecting experience.
Rather than relying on a traditional standalone mobile app, Slabz is designed to work through your browser, making it easy to access from a phone, tablet, or desktop.
The platform focuses on digital pack openings and collectible cards, with Pokémon and One Piece among the available categories.
Its interface shows pack choices, potential rarities, and the cards you can pull, giving the experience more of an arcade-style feel.
Slabz is particularly interesting for collectors who prefer browser-based platforms and don’t want to install another app.
Are mystery boxes actually worth your money?
As with anything, it depends on what you are looking for. Mystery Boxes and Mystery Card Packs are aimed at collectors and people who are active in TCGs.
These platforms are great for instantly chasing the cards you need to complete your meta deck at a reasonable price, or for collecting large quantities of hits without filling drawers with bulk you will never use.
Mystery Boxes can also contain more specific collectible products such as watches, streetwear, jewelry, etc. Even though I’m not biased (I am a TCG player and collector), I think the most sought-after products right now are cards.
What is usually inside these online mystery boxes?
This depends on the site you visit. Some sites solely specialize in Sports cards and TCGs such as Pokémon, One Piece, Riftbound, and many others.
Another type of mystery box gaining a lot of following contains special objects and collector items such as watches, niche perfumes, clothing, streetwear, and more.
Here are some of the most common mystery box perks you can unbox!
- Pokémon Cards
- One Piece Cards
- Riftbound Cards
- Dragon Ball Cards
- Gundam Cards
- Watches
- Jewelry
- Streetwear
- Perfumes
- Collectible toys
How we pick the best mystery box websites
Since mystery boxes and Card Rips are such a new and trending thing, you might be wondering: how do we rate and pick the best sites?
Here at The Grueling Truth, we have been iGaming experts for a long time, and while mystery boxes may seem completely different from iGaming, they share a few things in common that can help you find the best site for you.
Small details like how many TCGs or box styles they offer. How are the overall prices at certain sites? How do other customers rate them? Together, these factors let us rate the best sites to visit!
What TCGs or Boxes does the site offer
This is probably the most important factor. If a site doesn’t offer the game or object family you are looking for, why would you consider it worth your time?
That’s why I always make tables that list, next to each site, the available boxes and cards you can find!
Are there any welcome bonuses?
Most respected sites offer welcome bonuses. Some of these offer you free packs, whereas most will offer you a pretty good discount or buy 1 get 1 free.
At the top of this article, you will find a section where I placed each site in order according to how good their welcome bonuses are.
Do they offer native mobile apps?
Although this isn’t strictly necessary for having a good experience at any of these sites, it is quite convenient to have a native mobile app that updates you on all relevant information.
From new discounts and new packs and boxes to a special card you are searching for… A dedicated app will instantly notify you, keeping you up to date on all relevant information.
Another way in which I like to see how good a site is is by checking real player reviews at TrustPilot, Reddit, and, if they have dedicated apps, their respective app stores, where you can read what users have to say and if it’s good for you.
Minimum purchases and purchase fees
You might be a casual card player or collector, and having to spend a minimum of $100 may not be ideal for your experience.
Many sites offer packs as low as $0.10, so it is good to be aware of these prices and see which sites suit you best.
Responsible gambling
Even though ripping packs has nothing to do with iGaming sites such as online casinos or sweepstakes casinos, it still involves luck to open what you are actually looking for.
Generating a habit of constantly opening packs and boxes until you get what you want can eventually lead to some kind of addiction, so if by any chance you end up developing any form of addiction, I recommend you contact these help lines:
- National Problem Gambling Helpline:
Call or text
1-800-MY-RESET (1-800-697-3738)
to connect with trained professionals and local problem gambling resources. Support is available 24/7 across all 50 states and US territories.
- National Council on Problem Gambling:
Use its state-by-state directory to find problem gambling counselors, treatment programs, and other support services in your area.
- SAMHSA National Helpline:
Call
1-800-662-HELP (4357)
for free, confidential information and treatment referrals relating to mental health and substance-use concerns. The service is available 24/7.
- 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline:
Call or text
988
if compulsive spending or another addiction is contributing to a mental health crisis. For an immediate emergency, call
911
or visit the nearest emergency room.
Enjoy fantastic prizes at mystery box sites
As you’ve seen, mystery box sites do have some fantastic perks as you can get more value at a fraction of the box price. But remember that you can also receive prizes that are lower than the value of the box since it could swing both ways. This unpredictability, the excitement of unboxing, along with the chance of getting valuable rewards, is one of the main reasons mystery box sites have become mainstream.
We’ve recommended Packz.io, BigBux.io, and Card Crush as the top mystery box sites available right now. They all serve up a fun, reliable experience and are superb options to consider if you’re searching for the best sites to use.
Interested in seeing how they hold up? You definitely can. Just use the banners on this page to visit any of the three, sign up, and try them out yourself.
