UFC 280 could have two main events.
Originally scheduled for UFC 279, Aljamain Sterling vs T.J. Dillashaw may be part of a co-main event at UFC PPV in October.
Charles Oliveira was the former UFC lightweight champion. He lost his title because he had missed weight before his win over Justin Gaethje atΒ UFC 274Β in May. Now, he will be attempting to regain his UFC gold due to taking on Islam Makhachev, a Russian MMA phenom.
UFC 280’s co-main event is expected to feature a UFC menβs bantamweight title fight between Aljamain Sterling, the current champion, and T.J. Dillashaw, the former champion.
Sterling and Dillashaw were initially scheduled to headline UFC 279’s main event.. The bantamweight title fight is now rumored for UFC 280 in Oct.
UFC 280, along with the UFC title fights, is a stacked event with huge division implications.
