This Saturday, Kamaru Usman and Leon Edwards will be fighting for the world title of 170-pound supremacy in a fascinating matchup in the UFC’s welterweight division.
This is a close fight, even though it looks like the bookies would be happy to take on Usman. Although Usman is the clear favourite, we at the Grueling Truth believe that  -350 is too high a price. “Rocky” is fresh off a nine-fight win streak that included a dominating performance against Nate Diaz at UFC 263. Although Usman is currently ranked number one on the UFC pound for pound list, we don’t think that this will be easy work for ‘The Nigerian Nightmare.
Usman’s UFC resume is impressive. Since joining the UFC Legacy in March 2019, Usman is now 15-0 in the Octagon, with wins over Gilbert Burns, Colby Covington and Jorge Masvidal. The title was won by him in March 2019 and he has successfully defended it five times since.
Notable is Usman’s win over Leon Edwards in 2015. However, both fighters have made huge strides since then to reach the top of the 170-pound tree.

Edwards may be able to make Usman’s job difficult by circling him and using his superior boxing background, but ultimately Usman will be too strong for Edwards to over come. The number of takedowns Usman might land in the fight is another potential betting avenue. We believe he can score 2+ takedowns on Edwards.
