The Dallas Cowboy’s AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas may be the stage for Conor McGregor’s UFC comeback fight against Michael Chandler. However, UFC president Dana White revealed in an interview Thursday that he’s still looking for the fight’s potential location.
McGregor, who took a break from the UFC due to a broken leg in 2021, was announced to make his return following his coaching stint in The Ultimate Fighter (TUF). In the announcement last week, White revealed that McGregor would face Chandler, his rival coach in TUF.
The match-up is expected to be one of the biggest UFC fights of the year, but there are still several details that remain unclear. For example, the fight’s weight class has yet to be confirmed, as both McGregor and Chandler qualify for lightweight and welterweight.
However, White mentioned possible venues for the match.
“Dallas Texas Stadium is a possibility. Let’s just say this — They’re in the running. They’re in the running for the fight.”

McGregor and Chandler will likely face each other in the second half of 2023, closing off The Ultimate Fighter: Season 31. White emphasized the significance of finding an appropriate venue to host the fight, given its expected magnitude.
According to White, while the AT&T Stadium remained a major possibility, the UFC teams also considered other venues of equal size and proportion.
Other locations under consideration included major cities in the United States, such as New York City and Las Vegas. London was also considered as a possible location outside the U.S.
“When you look at a fight of that magnitude, you gotta look at Madison Square Garden. Obviously, Vegas. We could do the stadium there or do T-Mobile. You could also do a massive stadium in London,” White said.
Although White focused on American venues, many UK fighters and fans eagerly awaited a stadium fight in their home country. To satisfy this demand, the UFC will stage UFC 286 in the O2 Arena, London next March.
