Conor McGregor, Nate Diaz, are long-time UFC rivals and they have been arguing on Twitter in tweets that have since been deleted. Fans speculate that the two could fight in a trilogy fight, although that remains to be seen.
McGregor will appear alongside Hollywood star Jake Gyllenhaal in Amazon Prime Video’s Road House remake.
The 34-year-old is thrilled at the possibility of acting.
The 34-year-old then tweeted his former rival, saying, “Nate Diaz!”
” I won’t let you get into my acting; I’ll smash your face.
Diaz quickly replied, “Why do you act as if you can still win.” Actor.”
These tweets were deleted. It is not clear what’s happening behind the scenes.
It would be huge to have McGregor and Diaz fight again. It would sell millions of pay-per-views and make both fighters millions.
In the first fight, Diaz was brought in as a late replacement to fight McGregor. However, he won by rear-naked choke in round 2. The second fight was very close, with McGregor only getting the nod from the judge’s scorecards by a narrow margin.
Diaz shared this information earlier this month about a possible trilogy with his long-term rival:
“I would love the opportunity to fight him again for the third time. It’s something I have wanted for a while. Conor was placed on a high pedestal and made the face of the UFC; I would love to smash that face once and for all.
I have no doubt that him and I will finish it off. That’s my greatest goal.
McGregor and Diaz are not currently in training. Both fighters have seen their better days.
McGregor and Diaz have a lot of work ahead. Another tweet spat saw Diaz insult McGregor’s boxing skills and a stint in professional boxing. Diaz, 37 years old, complained to Twitter that McGregor had “failed to” take the ring.
He then responded in typical Conor McGregor fashion by saying:
“Ah, bro, I’m stinking. It’s so high quality. You’re nothing without me, please. Respect, please. I’d slap you around handy. Tony was easy. Tony would have been cut in half. 2 ham ball heads. Respect the King.”
The pair could be fighting again, and this latest engagement further emphasizes how much work remains. McGregor vs Diaz 3 would be a great fight.
