This filly has a shot at beating the Boys in this race. She will carry five pounds of weight less than the boy’s will, and she is coming off an impressive win at the Kentucky Oaks. Secret Oath will be trying to become the seventh Fillie to win the Preakness Stakes.

Epicenter looked poised to win the Kentucky Derby until Rich Strike came from nowhere to steal the race from him. The great thing about Epicenter is that he is consistently excellent and reliable. Epicenter has a victory at this exact distance of 1 3-16 miles in the Louisiana Derby. Epicenter is the favorite to win the Preakness, and I expect he will be a slight favorite at race time. Prediction

1) Early Voting: I think the top three favorites are the best three horses in this field for running this distance.

2) Epicenter: I hate to pick the favorite, so I won’t as I think Epicenter will come up a little short.

2) Secret Oath: I like the Fillies’ chances in this race
