NHL Minnesota Wild vs New York Rangers: Odds, Tips and Predictions 04-02-25

The Minnesota Wild (41-28-3-3, 37-38 PL, 32-49-4 O/U) will face off against the New York Rangers (35-32-7, 32-42 PL, 34-38-2 O/U) in an inter-conference matchup on Wednesday evening. The Wild suffered a road loss to the Devils on Monday, while the Rangers secured a victory against the Sharks in their last game. Earlier this season, the Wild won the only head-to-head meeting, finishing with a score of 3-2.

Minnesota Wild vs New York Rangers

• Puck Line: Rangers -1.5
• Moneyline Wild +130
• Moneyline Rangers -156
• Over/Under 5.5

The Minnesota Wild are currently struggling to win games, having lost four of their last five matches. They have also dropped four of their past five road games. Meanwhile, the New York Rangers are in a desperate situation, as they are just outside of a wildcard playoff spot. Additionally, Minnesota is continuing to play without its best player, Kirill Kaprizov, which explains their difficulties in scoring. The Wild have only managed to score nine goals in their last five games. Defensively, they have not been sharp either, allowing 18 goals during the same stretch. In contrast, the Rangers are performing well offensively, generating 19 goals in their past five games. Given these circumstances, I recommend considering the puck line, as four of the Rangers’ last five victories have come by two or more goals. The Rangers are a desperate team, while the Wild are a team spinning out of control in the wrong direction.
