2. COOPER KUPP, LOS ANGELES RAMS

Kupp is a master of the position. He knows how to run routes, set up defenders, and find space after the catch. These traits helped Kupp produce incredibly during the Rams’ Super Bowl run. His 93.0 PFF score was the best in the NFL and one of the highest for an entire season.

3. STEFON DIGGS, BUFFALO BILLS

Diggs is not only one of the top route-runners in the league but also one of its best pass catchers. Diggs has been ranked seventh in separation rate against single coverage and contested-catch grades since joining Buffalo in 2020.

4. JUSTIN JEFFERSON MINNESOTA VIKINGS

Jefferson’s ability to defeat outside coverage was the biggest concern when he left LSU in 2020. This is no longer a concern after two years in the league. Even though it’s the 6-foot-1, 200-pound wide receiver’s greatest strength, Only Davante Adams has been able to score a better grade against media coverage since 2020.

Jefferson is incredibly productive in the face of press-man. He averages 3.55 yards per route (second) and has 21 explosive receptions of 15 yards or more (tied for first). He is a huge-play threat.

5. JA’MARR CHASE  CINCINNATI BENGALS

Chase was regarded as a future generational prospect after the 2021 NFL Draft. However, expectations were lower before his rookie year due to Chase’s decision to opt-out of the 2020 college football season.

Although Chase is a wide receiver in all senses, his role as a deep threat was what helped the Bengals reach the Super Bowl. Chase was a rookie league leader in deep receiving touchdowns (8) and second overall in total deep yards (576).

6. DEEBO SAMUEL SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS

7. TYREEK HILL, MIAMI DOLPHINS

Hill’s game-breaking speed is what makes him so unique. He can break through defenses and get a deep ball. Since 2017, Hill has been the NFL’s leader in deep receiving statistics, including yards (2.574) and touchdowns (27). Miami will have the ability to use Hill in many ways. But expect an increase of his schemed touches and more space for him to work.

8. MIKE EVANS, TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS

Evans has suffered several injuries in the past couple of seasons. It didn’t stop him from tying for 10th place in PFF WAR generated at that position during that time.

In regular-season play, his 83.3% contested catch percentage (15-of-18) was more than ten percentage points better than any other player in the NFL.

9. A.J. BROWN, PHILADELPHIA EGLES

Many big moves were made during the 2022 NFL offseason, including the trade for wide receiver A.J. Brown was traded from the Tennessee Titans to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Brown is now the NFL’s most productive wide receiver. Brown has been a top-five receiver in receiving a grade and yards per route run over his three-year professional career. Brown is an excellent complement to DeVonta Smith, the 2021 first-rounder.

10. DEANDRE HOPKINS, ARIZONA CARDINALS

The nagging injury to Hopkins meant the Cardinals could not get the best out of Hopkins in 2021. They’re now guaranteed to not have Hopkins for at least six games because of an offseason suspension due to a positive PED test. The 10th-year veteran is a top player in the NFL when he’s healthy.
