Scotty Miller’s Sunday in New Orleans was a rough one. The Bucs need playmakers, and Scotty Miller has struggled. If it continues, he will find himself dropping paces for the Montreal Alouettes! Check out the top football betting sites.
Injuries are mounting for the Bucs who moved to 2-0 with a 20-10 win over the Saints on Sunday.
Today’s news is that Tampa Bay has signed Cole Beasley, a veteran receiver who caught 82 balls last year for the Bills and 82 balls in the previous season.
Beasley was undrafted in 2012 and is well-known for being a tough guy with strong hands. Beasley was also well-known for his anti-vaccine views during the NFL’s COVID era.
That stance has probably been a leading factor in why no one has signed the productive slot receiver. The Buccaneers seem like they are taking off the rest of the NFL by getting a veteran receiver who has been one of the best slot receivers in the NFL for the past few years.
Beasley, 33 years old, will be on Bucs’ practice squad. But that won’t last. The Bucs indicate that Beasley will be added to the game-day roster soon.
It has Tom Brady written all over the deal. It’s about more than just adding talent. Hopefully, the Bucs are not concerned with Julio Jones’ health, but even a healthy Julio will probably not make the impact that the Bucs need at this point, as Jones has not been what he used to be in the last year or two.
In all actuality, Beasley should still be on the Bills, but politics and cancel culture really hurt Beasley, because no doubt exists that Beasley is a clutch receiver who would improve any team’s chances of winning games.
