The Indianapolis Colts travel to Jacksonville on Sunday for an important AFC South matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars at EverBank Stadium.
Indianapolis enters 2-5 and has lost three consecutive games after falling 16-10 at Minnesota. Jacksonville is 4-2 and returns from its bye following a 34-31 loss to Houston in London. The Jaguars have established themselves as early AFC South contenders, while Indianapolis desperately needs a victory to prevent its season from slipping away.
Jacksonville is favored by 7.5 points, with the total set at 46.5.
Matchup: Indianapolis Colts at Jacksonville Jaguars Date: Sunday, November 1, 2026 Kickoff: 1:00 PM ET TV: CBS Venue: EverBank Stadium — Jacksonville, Florida Tickets: As low as $155 Point Spread: Jacksonville -7.5 Over/Under: 46.5
The Jacksonville -7.5 spread means the Jaguars must win by eight points or more to cover. If Jacksonville wins 27-20, Indianapolis +7.5 covers because the Colts lost by only seven. If Jacksonville wins 27-17, the Jaguars cover by winning by 10.
Because the spread includes a half-point, there is no possibility of a push.
Indianapolis nearly pulled off an upset at Minnesota, but its passing game couldn’t generate enough production.
Quarterback Daniel Jones completed 13 of 22 passes for only 108 yards and threw a game-ending interception. Head coach Shane Steichen confirmed afterward that Jones remains the Colts’ starting quarterback.
Jones has thrown for 1,398 yards, four touchdowns and seven interceptions this season while completing 59.6 percent of his passes. Indianapolis has also allowed him to be sacked 19 times.
The strength of the offense remains Jonathan Taylor.
Taylor has rushed for 587 yards and eight touchdowns on 140 attempts, averaging 4.2 yards per carry. He broke loose for a 38-yard touchdown against Minnesota and continues to give Indianapolis its clearest path toward controlling games.
Josh Downs leads Indianapolis with 307 receiving yards, while Keenan Allen has 258.
The challenge is converting sustained drives into touchdowns rather than field-goal attempts. Indianapolis has scored only 14 offensive touchdowns through seven games.
Jacksonville enters rested after its bye, and Trevor Lawrence has been playing some of the best football of his career.
Lawrence has completed 65.2 percent of his passes for 1,480 yards, 14 touchdowns and only four interceptions, producing a 106.2 passer rating.
He was excellent against Houston, completing 24 of 41 attempts for 306 yards and four touchdowns despite the 34-31 loss. That followed a 331-yard performance against Philadelphia.
Jacksonville also has balance.
Running back Bhayshul Tuten leads the Jaguars with 388 rushing yards and has added 126 receiving yards and two receiving touchdowns.
Parker Washington has emerged as Lawrence’s leading receiver with 416 yards and four touchdowns, averaging 16 yards per reception.
That offensive versatility creates a difficult matchup for an Indianapolis defense that has allowed 2,382 total yards, including 1,592 through the air.
Prop availability and numbers vary by sportsbook, so these are target numbers to consider if offered near these ranges.
Lawrence has surpassed 300 yards in consecutive games and enters with 14 touchdown passes against only four interceptions.
Indianapolis has surrendered 1,592 passing yards through seven games.
Prediction: Trevor Lawrence — 284 passing yards
Indianapolis cannot afford to put everything on Jones.
Taylor has 140 carries through seven games and should again receive a heavy workload as the Colts attempt to keep Lawrence off the field.
Prediction: Jonathan Taylor — 91 rushing yards
Washington has become one of Jacksonville’s most explosive weapons.
With Lawrence playing efficiently and Indianapolis dealing with injuries in its secondary last week, Washington should have opportunities downfield.
Prediction: Parker Washington — 74 receiving yards
Jones has struggled to consistently push the football downfield and enters with only four touchdown passes in seven games.
Indianapolis should again emphasize Taylor rather than asking Jones to carry the offense.
Prediction: Daniel Jones — 187 passing yards
Lawrence has thrown six touchdown passes over his last two games and appears comfortable attacking defenses vertically.
Washington’s 16 yards per reception make him Jacksonville’s biggest big-play threat.
Taylor gives Indianapolis its best chance to shorten the game and keep Jacksonville’s offense watching from the sideline.
Jones’ seven interceptions are becoming a serious concern. Indianapolis needs efficiency and ball security more than huge passing numbers.
Jacksonville needs to stop Taylor first. If the Jaguars force Indianapolis into third-and-long situations, they can pressure Jones and create turnover opportunities.
The Colts must prevent Lawrence from generating explosive passes. Jacksonville has enough weapons to make Indianapolis pay if the secondary allows receivers to consistently get behind it.
Indianapolis also needs touchdowns. Missed opportunities and two missed field goals contributed heavily to the loss at Minnesota.
Jacksonville, meanwhile, needs to clean up the mistakes that proved costly against Houston after Lawrence otherwise produced a four-touchdown performance.
The Jacksonville -7.5 spread requires the Jaguars to win by at least eight points.
That’s a significant number for a division matchup, but Jacksonville has substantial advantages at quarterback and in the passing game.
Indianapolis has lost three straight, while Jones has thrown more interceptions than touchdowns. Jacksonville is rested and has scored at least 31 points in three of its six games.
The 46.5 total looks slightly high if Indianapolis continues struggling to finish drives.
Taylor keeps Indianapolis competitive early, but Jacksonville gradually takes control.
Lawrence finds Washington for several explosive completions, the Jaguars force Jones into obvious passing situations and Jacksonville pulls away in the second half.
