for Green Bay’s regular-season home opener.
Atlanta is coming off an ugly
34-3 home loss to Carolina. The Falcons turned the ball over repeatedly, and Cooper Rush was replaced by rookie Jack Strand after completing 10 of 17 passes for 86 yards with two interceptions. Atlanta’s biggest positive remained Bijan Robinson, who finished with 81 scrimmage yards and now has
254 yards from scrimmage through two games.
Green Bay, meanwhile, rallied from a 17-7 fourth-quarter deficit to beat the Jets
20-17 in overtime. Jordan Love finished 16-of-29 for 145 yards and two touchdowns, while Christian Watson caught four passes for 41 yards and a touchdown.
Atlanta’s biggest storyline is quarterback. Michael Penix Jr. could potentially make his season debut after recovering from his knee injury, while Tua Tagovailoa is also working back from an oblique injury. Neither was active against Carolina, making Atlanta’s quarterback situation essential to monitor before Thursday.

Even during Atlanta’s disastrous loss to Carolina, Robinson received
20 touches
and produced 81 total yards. He also became the fastest Falcons player to reach 4,000 career rushing yards before age 25.
Regardless of which quarterback starts, Atlanta needs to build its offense around Robinson.

Watson caught four passes for 41 yards against the Jets and scored Green Bay’s crucial fourth-quarter touchdown.
He remains one of Love’s best vertical and red-zone weapons, and Atlanta may struggle to keep the Packers from attacking downfield if Green Bay’s running game establishes favorable play-action situations.

Green Bay needs cleaner offensive-line play after losing multiple linemen to injuries against the Jets. Jayden Reed, Zach Bako-Bewele, Aaron Banks and Donovan Jennings all exited Sunday’s game with injuries.
